I called today and ordered a cake to be delivered to my dad at work. I knew the last-minute ask would be difficult, but I figured it was worth a shot. The woman who I spoke with checked with the kitchen to see if they could accommodate and I was told they could, and would deliver the cake between 4:30 pm and 5 pm, which was perfect as my dad was leaving work at 5:15 to go out for his birthday dinner. I paid a $15 delivery fee for the last minute order. After all of that, the cake didn't show up until 5:40 pm. I find that very unprofessional. I know it was last minute, but had I been told it wouldn't be delivered until late, I would have tried a different bakery. UPDATE: 2/23; I received a call from the bakery after they had seen my Yelp review. They don't normally check here but happened to today and reached out. They initially offered to send me some free cupcakes, but as I am not in the area, they refunded the delivery fee instead! Because of this, I changed my three star review to a four star one, and will order from them again. Hopefully the late delivery was just a fluke! read more

Fantastic bakery! I first tried their cupcakes a few weeks ago at a friends birthday party. My husband and I decided to order cupcakes and cake pops for our Jack and Jill baby shower. WOW! The cake pops practically melted in your mouth and the cupcakes were perfect. Very professionally decorated as well. As good as it gets! I ordered an 8 inch carrot cake for my co-workers birthday. It was delicious. The experience was easy. The cake was completed on time and ready for pick up as scheduled. There are no problems getting there- Forever Sweet Bakery is in the same parking lot as the gun range in Norwalk off Route 7--plenty of parking. I paid in advance. Will return. Def recommend. I went in, sketches the cake I wanted. A 40th birthday cake for a friend of mine. He had a crippling accident and as such uses marijuana and enjoys it. I ordered fondant stamps in the shape of leaves so that they can spell the 40 in the leaves and maybe put bigger ones around it and make a little fondant sculpture of a pipe. Because celebration cakes are supposed to be about the person. And news flash it's cake. Not actual marijuana. Over 24 hours later I got a call saying the owners refused to make it. I bought half a dozen of different varieties (lemon, chocolate/chocolate, vanilla/vanilla, chocolate/peanut butter,chocolate/vanilla, and red velvet/cream cheese). I didn't have time or the energy to make a trip for cakes, so I chose Forever Sweet Bakery because of the reviews. Yelpers do not let you down! I called the bakery on a Wednesday for a Saturday pickup and they did not disappoint!! Everyone there was friendly, they gave me the time to explain the different options or combinations of flavors I can go with, and the baker got excited when I told her that one of the cakes was for breast cancer. She can use the pink ribbon sprinkles on the red velvet cake! I was impressed with how moist the chocolate cake with raspberry filling turned out, since it's hard to come across a moist chocolate cake. I too have been a frequent customer of Forever Sweet bakery since they opened. They have done some incredible cakes for me. Every time there is a special occasion, I am always in charge of the cake or cupcakes which is always the hit of the party! The best thing that they did was make up a huge photo album that they have in the store of all the different cakes and cupcake designs that they have done to give you good ideas.. I feel bad leaving this review because they were so sweet and nice and accommodating. I've been there before to get cupcakes which have been fine and he always offers girls some cookies. I had them make a custom birthday cake which looked beautiful but was absolutely inedible because it was soooooooo sweet. It was a lemon cake with raspberry cream filling, the cake was soaked with syrup and the filling had no flavor other than powdered sugar. Frosting tasted like sugar as well. 4 adults took a few bites and that was it, even kids were not able to finish their slices. I have used Forever Sweet for about a year now....The owner Sky always seemed to be a bit frazzled when placing my orders. I always had to follow through and confirm multiple times per order. The cakes were delicious but thought they were completely unprofessional when an order was placed a month in advance with him and then was called 4 days before the event to say they couldn't fulfill a basic cake order because they are closed on Monday's.
