We've been to F&F before but after coming back a 2nd time and having top notch food again we had to write a review. We decided to do the Jealous side of the menu and create our own enchiladas. I had no idea how incredible this dish was going to be! Pick your tortilla or opt for a stuffed poblano pepper, pick your protein, pick two cheeses, a sauce, and there are plenty of add ins to try. My fiancé opted for the stuffed poblano with wild mushrooms, Oaxaca cheese, red Chile, and added in avocado, cabbage, cilantro and crema. I had the braised pork in classic flour tortillas with Oaxaca, Monterey Jack, cabbage, red Chile and diced onions. Both dishes came out with beautiful presentation and packed full of flavor. The protein was generously portioned. My fiancé and I agreed this was the first time having enchiladas that felt balanced and not heavy. We will definitely be back! read more

I have mixed feelings about this place. The service was great. I liked the vibe. I just wasn't impressed with all the food we had. The burgers were Great! I would go back just for the burgers. Other than that we weren't really impressed with anything else we had. The sides that come with their burgers were Au gratin or truffle mashed potatoes...sounded good at first but French fries would've been better. The Au gratin and truffle potatoes are a bit dry. Maybe if there was more cream/cheese in both I would've been more impressed. The flavor was so. It was just dry. We also had the tres leches...again, not impressed. Mediocre at best with a higher end price tag. My wife and I were seated outside, the weather was nice and the cool misters made for a comfortable relaxed setting. We were given a QR code to scan for drinks, pretty standard nowadays. It seemed like the type of place that would have quirky, interesting cocktails which I was looking forward to, however there was no liquor on the menu at all; beer it is I guess. I picked out a cherry wheat, and was brought out a bottle with no glass. I assumed all of the beers listed were on draft, however it turns out none of them are. Nowhere on the menu does it state that. I was irritated that I paid $7 for a bottle and couldn't even enjoy it as I had to suck it out of the bottle like a gerbil. I may have asked for a glass, but they were out of both wines my wife tried to order (Chardonnay/Sauvignon Blanc) and I didn't want to be annoying to the server. My wife went across the sidewalk to Cheeba Hut and ordered a margarita and just walked it back over (They actually have liquor and beers on tap, definitely should have went there) After the rocky start, we were looking forward to the food hoping it would make up for the initial shortcomings. I ordered the Elk Burger/Gazpacho and my wife ordered the Caprese Burger with lettuce instead of a bun/bacon brussels sprouts, both cooked medium. My wife's burger came out simply without a bun, there wasn't lettuce in place instead, but whatever it's an odd order and it still looked tasty; just had to be eaten with a knife and fork. It was more on the well done side of medium, but she said it was good. The brussels sprouts were great. Nice and charred, not burnt not too mushy or undercooked. Mine was also pretty well done, which I'm normally not a stickler for but it's a $17 burger. The bottom bun was soaking wet which made it super messy to eat, but it tasted pretty good I guess. I was also just very hungry. The gazpacho was a refreshing, different side option. Nice and cooling in the hot weather. The overall experience was pretty bad. For a place branded as a "modern eatery", the only thing modern was the price. I don't mind spending a little more for quality, but it this place just fell way short and I won't be back. read more

I was given a slab of bread with the sandwich filling crammed in a hole in the center of the bread. Difficult to eat like a sandwich. There was more canned crab than lobster in the sandwich, again extremely disappointed. My partner ordered the foigras waygu Burger medium and it was dry and over done.ok now here is the good part the manager totally made everything right she had another burger made and it was so juicy. Stopped in F&F while driving thru Albuquerque on a Wednesday evening. I honestly wanted to go across the street to Chili's because the F&F menu was too.. experimental. She ordered another side of chicken, which finally came when she was ready to pack up the remaining half of her salad and leave. 2nd-my side salad was not some itsy bitsy teeny weeny 3 bites and it's gone salad! Thank tha lord! It was sizable AND good! Too many onions for my taste, but other than that-great! The Broccolini were so good that my friend kept trying to eat mine!! Slight wait (maybe 20 mins) to get in but not uncommon in NM. Great patio with nice misters for the hot weather. Now for the food. I had the Reuben with honey brussel sprouts and both were very good. The Reuben was a tad dry but still tasty. The sprouts are my favorite item here so far. There is enough char on the sprouts to give them a nice flavor mingled with the bacon but the sauce is the star. I'm not sure if it's straight honey or if it's just cooked down enough that it's almost a tad syrupy but however it's made, it's just delicious. My companions had the buffalo and the pumpkin seed salad which both were beautifully presented and must've been delicious because their plates were empty at the end of the meal, as was mine. The service was very good and even though they were busy on a Saturday we did not feel pressured to snarf down our food to get out. Covid safety measures are being taken by staff. All-in-all a very pleasant meal with good food, a great atmosphere and even better company. Give this place a try for something out of the norm and truly tasty. read more

I came here because of the reviews. I went for the meatloaf sandwich and thought it was fine - as noted by others, lots of flavors, which I like but it was a bit much. Like a mashed plate of international variety -- and blue cheese. :) My 13 year old daughter was told she couldn't order from the kids menu cause she wasn't 10. She's a picky eater and only wanted grilled cheese. The server said we have a cheese sandwich with meat and we can remove the meat for ya. To my daughter and me, this meant it was the adult version of grilled cheese. What came out was a sandwich with a whole lot of grilled vegetables and mushrooms!!!! This is not a grilled cheese or nearly a kid sandwich. Try again! We didn't complain cause we are not like that - I'd rather be a quiet Yelper instead offering my full on experience. My son, who is 10!, had the grilled cheese and said it was amazing! The waitress was plenty nice and polite and simply following the manager or owner's orders. I get it. But I didn't care what you charged me for a grilled cheese for my 13 year old. That sandwich that you brought out wasn't worth the extra $15 that I paid for it. Couldn't accommodate 5 people without reservations. Employees passed by 3 different times without acknowledging us at the door. When we looked at the menu, it looked like basic over priced food, however we did want to give it a fair chance to taste but due to lack of acknowledgment from employees we had to leave and now we'll never know. They have a small seating area inside, and a beautiful patio with more seating outside. If you come during peak times, it is worth the wait, though probably not inside (waaaaay too crowded). Fork & Fig is serving up great burgers and food! We chose this restaurant because after flying in we wanted something close to our hotel for dinner. Lucky for us it was a great restaurant on top of being convenient for us. The restaurant is on the smaller side with about a dozen tables and an open concept kitchen. They also serve food to the music venue on the other side of the courtyard. Since live music was happening across the way that night the dining room at Fork & Fig was relatively empty. That made it easy for us to get a table on a Friday night. Service was attentive and friendly. The food was cooked up without delay and served as we requested. The Good Gouda Burger was excellent even with some pregnancy food restrictions like a well cooked burger and no aioli. The burger was still well seasoned and juicy. The gouda, caramelized onions, fig, kale, tomato, and bacon were a great combination of flavors that came together nicely. Herb Red Bliss Potato's were excellent too. The dressing on this side was creamy and delicious. My husband really enjoyed his Elk Burger and was pleased with his selection. He loved the flavor of the elk as well as the juiciness of the burger. Not usually a vegetable fan, he loved his side of Sauteed Brussels Sprouts. Even though we were pretty full we knew we had to try a dessert based on the quality of what we'd already enjoyed. Dessert was one option that rotates. The evening we visited the dessert was Blood Orange Crème Brulee. This didn't disappoint. Immediately noticed not all cooks and wait staff were wearing masks which I understand isn't required now if vaccinated but was just a bit unsettling seeing how close everyone is in the kitchen which is pretty much open to the patrons. This is how good establishments go bad... To begin with, the decor of the place is non-existent, walls are scratched, corners busted, floor is sticky. Assuming the owners went for rustic look, they did not succeed, it's just looks dirty and poorly maintained. The service was the next disaster - they could not seat us because the kitchen was busy. Why did we have to stand and watch cooks cook is beyond me. We could just be profitably drinking instead. Their loss. As for watching cooks cook, they have the grill station directly in the dining area, so it was smoky and smelly. I could smell burnt oil on my shirt next morning. The disaster continued on to the food. My steak was not trimmed at all, about 10% of its whooping 8oz was un-chewable connecting tissue. Boiled potatoes were just potatoes albeit some of them were pink and violet, I could not taste any difference from the regular kind. The tomato soup arrived after the main course, was lukewarm, and was green, which is kind of strange for a tomato soup. I explained the problems to the waiter and he smiled. read more

I've dined on their patio twice, once off the Jealous Fork menu and once off the actual Fork and Fig menu. I'll review the Jealous Fork food separately but incorporate experience from both trips here. The patio has three long tables with heat lamps and chairs at each end. Two of them are a little too close to each other so if someone sits right behind you they are only two feet from you. I recommend the table closest to Menaul if you are trying to maintain your distance from people you don't know. Heat lamps were not working where we sat both times, and it was different tables, one week apart. I ordered the mortadella burger on a gluten free bun (props for having one, many don't!) The burger was awesome, and the broccolini side was incredible. The GF bun was kinda dry and crumbly, as is typical of gluten free buns - nothing terrible, nothing special either. One friend ordered a beefalo burger, and the other a salad with roasted carrots and everyone seemed happy. I did have to hop out of my seat when the table behind us was seated, but I was just waiting for my credit card back at that point so it was not that big of a deal. Another lady was super polite and asked about sitting near but not too near us to take advantage of the sunshine, so that was nice to see. Restroom was clean. Service was solid. A little pricey for sandwiches, but they are high quality and have unique spins on them. Omg YUM. So happy we stopped here on our way through Albuquerque. We ordered takeaway over the phone and it was done and out to our car in 10 minutes flat. We came around 4pm so it wasn't very busy. Ordered brussel sprouts, potatoes side (so good there was no time to take a picture!), green chile burger, and the pomegranate pumpkin salad with grilled chicken. Everything is excellent and I wish we were staying longer so we could come back and try their other dishes. Sounded like too much trouble and it was cold outside so we ordered water! Husband had the Rueben sandwich and I ordered a salad. Nothing to scream about, and frankly I was disappointed! Very little dressing on the salad and way too tart. Hubby liked the Reuben but it could have used some dressing on the bread. Booked reservations last minute for 11 people the day before we needed to go somewhere due to initial reservations falling through for my sisters bachelorette. When we first drove up to the building we absolutely thought it would be similar to a bbq restaurant or something similar, but as soon as we walked through the doors we realized we couldn't have been more wrong. We really don't eat lamb so i will go out on a limb and say it was the best lamb we ever had. The cucumbers and tomatoes make it cooler than the other side of the pillow. Lets not forget the wrap is made of sun dried tomatoes. If u blind folded yourself and tried a regular pita wrap and a sun dried tomato wrap you probably couldn't tell the difference. I had the chopped greens and loved it. Its earthy, but the cranberries and pesto make it sweet and savory. The cous cous fills you up, but if youre a big eater you will not get full even if you add meat (protein). We also ordered the sautéed Brussel sprouts and these were out of this world! They tasted so good that i doubted they were a healthy bite. I think they used some type of vinaigrette. It was like tasting candy. So good! We did front door pick up. The girl was nice. The service was a bit slow at the start as they were really backed up and our food came out pretty late, but the ambiance and food made up for it. I got a stone fruit salad which felt really nourishing and they were not skimping at all with the berries. Everything was really fresh and the cheese was a perfect add on. The glazed pork wrap was also spectacular as the pork was really nice and tender and there were little crunchy parts that tasted amazing.
