We came an requested to sit in a section where an acquaintance was working and the hosts denied our request even though the place was half empty on a Sunday after church, a red flag we ignored. I planned on ordering the panini, but after the waitress said the corned beef hash was homemade I changed my order. So I got my straight out of the can corned beef hash and didn't eat more than one bite. My husband said his scrambled eggs weren't good, but the hash browns and sausage were decent. We had a party of 6, maybe 2 of us were happy with the food. Not sure why the blond waitress felt the need to lie and claim most of the food was homemade when our acquaintance who stopped by later and set us straight. Fork & Spoon is the typical breakfast joint. Maybe it was better owned by that TV weather guy? The place attempts to be upscale but it misses the bill. Lemont is not Naperville. People just want good food at a decent price and not the frills. read more

This place is great. I was there today. I had time to kill and was hungry. There are a few chain/fast food places around, but I like to support local businesses. This place didn't disappoint. I had the chicken fried steak-an indulgence that I only have once a year-ish. The steak was crispy and tasty. The gravy was yum-tastic! It came with hash browns, two eggs, and toast. I couldn't finish it all. The staff was friendly. My waitress was attentive without being annoying. The coffee was strong and enjoyable. The price was good for the amount of food that I got. We love this place! Just what Lemont needed. Good consistent quality and service. Even when it's busy there is never a long wait.

We were a party of five for lunch. The waitress was pleasant but it took a long time for her to take our order. Then, we barely saw her. I had to ask twice for flavored cream and coffee. The sour cream was missing from my plate and I could not get her attention. These things are minor. My most serious complaint was that both the chicken noodle soup and clam chowder, which came with our sandwiches, were so peppery that we could not eat them. When we finally got the waitress, her solution was to offer us more soup. I did not want to make a fuss in front of my guests, so paid the bill and decided to write a review. Upon reflection I decided that this was unfair so the following day, I phoned the manager.j. He said that he would notify the chef but doubted that the recipe would be modified since nobody had ever complained before. He also said that we could have ordered a salad for a $1 up charge or ordered fruit. He said that I should have complained that day but since I waited a day, there was nothing he could do for me. He did not even ask that we give the Cafe another chance, I warn any customer who has less than a satisfactory experience, to complain, not to the waitress, but to the manager immediately.. read more

Have been there several times already and the food is consistently delicious! Fresh spinach used in the omelettes, not frozen. Top notch ingredients used in everything. Coffee is great, and the bus staff is always so friendly and attentive. I wish this place many years of success. We really needed a place like this in Lemont! read more

The hype of being the best breakfast in Will county is well deserved! My steak and eggs were the best I've had. My wife got a stuffed omlette which she said was to die for. Super clean establishment all the way to the bathroom. Staff was friendly and food was great! This is now our new go-to breakfast stop. read more

I debated about giving this establishment three to 3 1/2, but the bus staff pushed this establishment to a four! Let's start with the bus staff...I witnessed them not only wipe down the table, but also the chairs and benches (using a different cloth). An older woman accidentally knocked over the paper menus on the counter and it was the bus staff that came over to help (not the person behind the counter). The food was typical breakfast food and it was very good. The only problem...we had to wait 45 minutes. It would have been very considerate if the management would have walked around and apologized to each table. Unfortunately, that didn't happen. Instead the servers were dealing with disgruntle patrons. Words of advice...management should step up and be proactive as the kitchen is working through their routines. Also, give the bus staff a raise or promotion! They understand customer service. read more

The atmosphere is really great. It's not your typical noisy breakfast place. The service and food were outstanding. I enjoyed a vegetarian skillet with a side of pancakes. The coffee was great too. My friend had a breakfast croissant and said it was the best he's had. The portions are large and the prices are reasonable. read more

I really want to see this place succeed, but my experience wasn't very good. We went for breakfast and the food was average to below average. The ingredients like the bacon and turkey sausage seemed low quality. The raisin toast was burnt and tasted stale. The pancakes tasted like a box mix and were dry. On top of that the price was outrageous. I'd have no problem with the price if the food was good but it was no better than an IHOP and that's not good. read more

This place was amazing I got the strawberry crapes they were literally huge. I got three of them and I was only able to eat half of one at the restaurant. So I had a ton of leftovers for the rest the week to eat breakfast. That was great for me because I am super lazy with breakfast. I'm actually coming there tomorrow to do a simple lunch with a friend. Excited to try the lunch food instead of breakfast food. Absolutely amazing! read more

The food was great, however the service was questionable. We sat down and waited........... no one offered us coffee or even said "hello". We did notice that some of the other waitresses were great. We over heard one waitress offer flavored cream to her patron, ours did not. When she finally arrived at our table we mentioned that we'd been sitting for quite some time and her response was "oh well". Obviously she needed a job but has no business being a waitress. We will go back and give them a second chance. We may even request one of the waitresses that we observed - who actually cared about the patron. Decor/ambiance was cute, a little more fun than you're average breakfast spot but nothing too fancy. Our server was a sweetheart. The food was mediocre at best.. not horrible, but not worth the $41 we spent before tip. I had the avocado toast- honestly one the worst ones I've ever had but I was starving so I ate it anyway. The description made it sound amazing- dill cream cheese, avocado, poached eggs, & smoked salmon... when the dish came off it looked so ugly & unappetizing. One slice of toast had the cream cheese & eggs, the other slice had the avocado & salmon.. weird. My boyfriends Greek omelette was a scrambled a little too soft for his liking but had an overall decent taste. Hash browns could have been crispier & seasonal fruit was mainly honey dew with a few small pieces of cantaloupe & grapes (which is to be expected considering the time of year). The half order of biscuits & gravy was perfect portion but didn't taste nor look outstanding. All & I all, it was just okay but we're definitely not in a rush to go back. read more
