Let's see: the chicken soup is home made and delicious and a BOWL not a cup comes with the sandwich. The corned beef (and all their other meats according to my excellent waitress) is cooked in house and it was excellent, served hot on marbled rye with perfect fries and a huge dill pickle slice. The service was first rate and the prices absolutely reasonable. All the whiny reviews are by people who don't know a first rate basic restaurant when they eat there. My new favorite lunch spot. Very disappointed. Have been wanting to go here for breakfast for quite some time. Met a good friend there this morning, which is why there is no picture. Ordered poached eggs, only after asking the waitress if the kitchen staff was able to properly cook them. She assured me that they could, and sadly, they could not. Both eggs were cooked hard, not one drip of useful yoke. I would not have ordered them if she had been honest with me. I can over cook eggs on my own at home. read more

It's okay. Nothing spectacular on the menu we've tried but it's safe for crowd pleasing a lot of people. The breakfast hashbrowns and diced potatoes are very disappointing though. They're extremely plain so we added the onion and green pepper. However it was a waste of money since they're not cooked with the potatoes and just put on top raw. read more

Our niece asked us to meet her there . It was given 41/2 stars so why not. Very clean place nice atmosphere. Ordered the special the Cajun bowl actually was very tasty but the grits def needed to have less water in them . Need to make them more thicker. It came with pancakes or toast . I chose the pancakes which were very good . The wife ordered the crepe parfait, she aid it was good , but the sour cream through her off. She thought it was a vanilla creme drizzled over it . Nope !! She said she will ask it to be made that way next time otherwise she liked her meal. Out niece ordered the croissant sandwich she liked it very much. Then she ordered her daughter eggs , bacon, hash browns with a side of fruit. She really loved the hash browns!! She's almost 2 . Lol Definitely will go back and try again. A lot of other items I would love to try . Went for breakfast - greeted with a smile, seated right away and given coffee and water. Service was efficient, Food came out fast and was pretty decent. Only delta is the Coffee was old - asked for fresh, server said she could get some from the urn ...it wasn't any fresher. read more

My friend in Lemont suggested we stop here for lunch. It's a nice place with a lot of vegetarian options. There are the standard diner options but also some variety, which is a nice change from your typical diner. It's also pretty cheap, considering the amount of food you get. I will definitely go back next time I'm in Lemont. read more

I had the madam croquette. It was very good. I was worried it would not be enough to eat with only one egg. The menu stated "egg". It had 4 eggs. I liked the combination of meat and toast. I have nothing to compare the madame to, but I enjoyed it. My wife's banana foster waffles were incredible. Service was good. Drinks were refilled before they were empty. Hash browns were good, but not great. Maybe some herbs or spices to improve the flavor? read more

Used to frequently order lunch for pickup from Fork & Spoon especially when Covid started since I was making more of an effort to support small business as opposed to restaurant chains, however I definitely will not be ordering from here any longer due to poor customer service. For starters, the food here is just like any average breakfast place and is nothing worth writing about. I ordered breakfast for the first time (chilaquiles among other things) about a month ago- the food was missing sauce, sour cream, and the chips were soggy and tasted really old. I called to let them know about the issue with my order and they offered me a $1 credit for the inconvenience (for reference, this cost me about $16 with the addition of the steak) and then after speaking to a manager (who really couldn't care less), I was offered a $5 credit which wouldn't even cover the cost of the meal and implies I will be back. If a business can't be bothered to correct a minor mistake properly, then they shouldn't expect to retain their customer base. Would not recommend this place if you're looking for good food or good customer service. read more

I love this hidden gem in Lemont. Right in the jewel plaza in Lemont. This place is what Lemont needed a place for all the locals to go for brunch during the week and weekends. The inside is so cute! The staff is very attentive and warm, if you ask for suggestions they tell you what their faves are. Their stuffed French toast is amazing, and love their skillets. I love the one with chorizo and hash browns and avocado. Everyone in Lemont should head here if your looking for a great brunch place in the western suburbs. read more

Wow. Finally- a breakfast joint casual enough to bring kids to, that I WANT to go to!! First of all- the inside decor is beautiful. My HGTV dreams come true. But better than that is the food and the COFFEE! Coffeeeeee. It is sad how many local restaurants fail in this category, but not Fork & Spoon. I had the avocado toast and my husband had the croque madame. Yum and yum. Truly felt like I was in a swanky joint in downtown Chicago. First time here today and never coming back. We had a party of 5 and our service wasn't good at all. We had to ask for coffee from another server and still had to wait for the creamer. The coffee wasn't good either, it tasted burnt. The food is just as bad as the service. All the food that came out was cold and unimpressive. In addition, the eggs and the hash browns were cold. We had one of their skillets and the red potatoes weren't fresh but probably frozen from a package. The side of fruit was overripe and soggy, as the fruit was precut and placed in a super cold fridge. When you're a breakfast restaurant you have to bring on your A-Game. I ordered takeout from Fork & Spoon Cafe. This is my first time trying them. The food was delicious! I had bacon, eggs (over, medium) and hash browns. All were cooked to perfection. Everything tasted so fresh and not swimming in oil. The portion size is more than enough for one person. The pancakes were fluffy and tasty.
