We just enjoyed a delicious dinner here. We started with Naam Prik Nuum , a spicy green sauce served with steamed veggies. A few more pieces of broccoli would have been good. This is a really great Thai place in the central west end. I loved the Thai Stix; they were a bit different from normal Crab Rangoon but VERY appetizing. I had an order of Chicken Pad Thai which was good but not quite authentic. Additionally, we got the Hung Lay Curry which my husband LOVED. Ate there Friday night after a short wait. Delicious mom and pop home style. The 4 of us each ordered different apps and entrees and sampled all around. EVERY DISH was delicious. Service was amazingly quick. I would have given 5 stars except that there was a large amount of smoke from the kitchen in the air that night. Seemed like they needed better ventilation. The place is tiny, and just off of Delmar. Don't make the mistake of turning onto Rosedale to find parking, which is a dead-end (and difficult to turn around). There was about a 20 minute wait to get a table, and not enough room for people to stand while they were waiting (and it was cold outside), but not a big deal. We had spring rolls and the sausage for an app, which were pretty good. Had the chicken Khao Soi for main, which was fantastic. I'm always interested in trying different varieties of Asian noodle soup, and if you like Thai curry, you will like this one. I've never had it anywhere else, so can't vouch for its authenticity, but I thought it was excellent. read more

Best Thai in town. The curries are all just ridiculously good. The green curry is one of my favorites. The Khao Soi is also super unique and delicious. I recently had the one with pork belly and it was excellent--like a spicy pork stew. And if you like sausage, get theirs as an appetizer. Insane. Been wanting to try this place after hearing so much good about it. We really enjoyed everything about it and it lived up to expectations. Spicy papaya salad. Pork sausage with vegetables and green chile sauce and the pork belly/shoulder curry were all amazing! Very flavorful, fresh, spicy, savory, yummy and awesome. Everything that I have ever had from here is delicious. I frequent this restaurant as I work in the loop. I have experienced most items on the menu and have never been disappointed. I love the hoy jaw appetizer dumplings. The sauce that they come with is just right mix of sweet and heat! read more

This place has good apps beside that the food quality drops significantly. My food was not what I expected my beef was closer to hamburger helper than actual beef . Usually never give a bad review but a true dissapoinment. I told my waitress about it and she told me it was not her fault . We asked for a manager and were sent the second waiter who promised us if we went to Thailand we would have the same food served to us. At this point I realized these people are taking me for an idiot. I payed my 60 dollar ticket I was with my wife and kid and will never return. I was shocked to see a four star average for this place. When we sat down I had to have heard "Vest Thai food in town" mumbled across from two different conversations. We ordered the soup and it was amaaaaazing. Best most flavorful and delicious and warm and puzzling soup I've ever had. Gotta give it a million stars because it's just the best. I was really excited to try this place but Forks & Stix was such a disappointment. My friend and I had the the satay and Som tum (papaya salad) as an appetizer. The satay tasted like it was fried instead of grilled and the papaya salad was ok I've had better. I ordered the Khao Soi with chicken and my friend ordered chicken pad Thai both were tasteless. My friend's pad Thai tasted burnt, had no sauce or any flavor to it. The Khao Soi was such a disappointment because I had heard so many good things about their dish but it just didn't taste right. The pickles in the dish tasted funny and didn't even go along with the entire dish, the chicken smelled old and had an odd flavor to it. Also the service was very slow and there were only 3 other tables in the whole restaurant, the server never even came to ask us how our food was. Parking is hard to find, very small portions, food sucked and so did the service. Overall this place just didn't deliver. This was definitely not worth the drive! read more

After reading rave reviews, my bf and I decided to try Fork & Stix, and boy, were we disappointed! We were fully prepared for small portions therefore we decided to order an appetizer which was vegetable egg rolls, just 2 egg rolls. very oily but they tasted ok. I ordered Pad Thai with vegetables and my bf ordered Red Curry with chicken. Waited approx 20 minutes for our dish which wasn't too bad. My Pad Thai had tofu in it, wasnt aware vegetables involved tofu. I tried it anyway..no taste with a strong smell of egg. Tried the noodles, werent cooked all the way, and very chewy and was not flavorful. The waitress brought my bf Green Curry, told the waitress it wasn't what he ordered, he told her he'd go ahead and eat but she said it was ok so she went ahead and took the dish and returned with Red Curry 5 minutes later, which was nice. Good service can be a rare these days. His dish was a little better than mine, we actually switched dishes since I'd prefer his over mine, and the fact my bf can eat anything and be somewhat satisfied. My overall experience was the service was exceptional but the food was very displeasing to the palette. I would never recommend this place for good food, it was probably the worst food I've ever tasted-not to be dramatic, just honest. I think any restaurant that wants to serve smaller portions, should definitely have great flavors to go along with the dish. If you are looking for a great Thai place, try Thai 202 ,I highly recommend to anyone who wants great Thai food with great flavors (try the orange chicken or Fish curry, you will not be disappointed) read more

The food is good and reasonably priced. I was a loyal customer here, so it pains me to give Fork and Stix a bad review (in fact, I'm normally singing its praises). However, after the horrendous service that I experienced here tonight, I feel as though I have no choice but to give it a poor rating. I went with my friend and we ordered some wine. My friend asked the waitress to describe the wine, which she could not do. She didn't offer a taste or to ask someone with a better knowledge of the wine. My friend ordered it anyway. My wine was fine, but my friend's was off. it smelled bad and tasted worse, as though it had been corked. We asked to exchange it and our waitress said no. It was awkward. When it came time to pay our bill, we asked to speak to the manager about the wine. The manager had a very poor attitude about it. She repeatedly emphasized that she had opened a new bottle for my friend, as if that was our problem. She was very rude about it, even going so far as to imply that we were trying to cheat them in some way. We weren't - my friend sent her glass back after the first sip. The manager also mentioned that in a normal restaurant, the customer would have thought to ask for a taste of the wine first. Well, in a normal restaurant, the servers wouldn't be clueless about the wine and the burden would be on the server to offer a taste if, for some unimaginable reason, they were so ill-informed as to be incapable of describing it. She ended up not charging us for the wine, "this time." The manger then came back and ripped the bill out of my hand before I could put my card in. I paid quickly without even looking at the bill since she was glaring at me. Of course, they overcharged me. However, I was so uncomfortable and in such a hurry to leave that we tipped and let it slide. Both my friend and I have been in the service industry for years and felt that their etiquette was terrible enough to merit a yelp review. I hope that $7 glass of wine was worth the loss of our business. read more
