Sad really I was do proud of my grocery when it was Food4Less. As an organic shopper this store had everything at great prices. So disappointed in our recent purchase of a coconut cream pie. We had not really tried the bakery before because their bakery items are quite pricey. But, we thought it may be worth the price for a really tasty pie. Without exaggeration, it was the most tasteless pie we have ever had. Even worse, the "cream" whipped topping left us all feeling as though it was really slightly sweetened whipped lard. We all really wanted to love it, but wished we would have left it. read more

I love this store!!! Surprised at all the bad reviews. It is the only place we shop. It has great prices and friendly staff. I hate the local Bel Air. It is overpriced and their snotty young employees are rude. Safeway is too expensive. Food 4 Less is the best alternative for our area. I had just moved to the area and had a choice between three local supermarkets: Food 4 Less, Safeway, and Bel Air. I go inside Food 4 Less, check out the prices and walk out saying "Food 4 Less my ass! Forget this!" Although they have a great selection of products I've never seen before and extremely friendly staff, their name doesn't match their prices. I now make the 20 minute drive all the way to Winco in Folsom. 'nuff said. read more

Like it says on the sign, this is a low cost grocery store and pretty good selection for the area. I was missing some of the deli and specialty items offered by more traditional grocery stores in the area, so this place still isn't my one stop shop for all my food stuffs. read more

Huge fan for the Nugget Market/Food For Less. Staff is friendly and they get to know who you are. The owner is doing EVERYTHING right HUGE SUCCESS. Very excited for the name change to Food For Less.. which is going to bring so much more a FULL deli counter and Full meat counter. Just hope this store starts to carry what the nugget has to offer in chicken selections. Safeway in the Cameron Park area is dirty and gross.. lived up here for 15 years we relocated from the bay area. just never found a bakery that i was really happy with.. Nugget Market has been awesome, so sure the NEW name "Fork Lift" nugget market will offer the same. Don't be scared of the name change..its a positive thing owner is no longer has to carry the Franchise name and is able to offer what he wants. Their own personal touch. I've lived in Cameron Park for years and this is hands down the best place to grocery shop in town. The quality of the meats and produce is excellent. The store is super clean and well-organised. The employees are helpful and happy....unlike the regional and nationwide supermarket chains. They are currently transitioning to a higher end store but I am glad to see that they are keeping their good-value products. Once I was charged the wrong price for a melon (they rang it up as a more expensive type of melon) and when I went to customer service, they refunded the full price and let me keep the melon! Can't beat that for customer service. read more

Great supermarket! Didn't know what the heck this place was when I first went in. The best thing is how nice every one is. Seriously the nicest people I've ever encountered in a supermarket!! I go to the deli to get sandwiches when making day trips to Tahoe and they are so nice, they wrap it in a ziplock for me. Feels like mom making me a sandwich. There has been a huge improvement in the customer service. This review is changing from 1 star to 4. It seems they have gotten the message. The last few cashiers I have used have been intelligent, polite and upbeat. A big change from the condescending people who had helped me in the past. With their selection, organic, pastured and nonGMO options, and those fantastic people working the meat counter, I will be coming back more for sure. I seriously used to get anxiety right before checking out. Now I just have slight apprehension, and with this quality of service, I hope in the coming months, I can change it from 4 stars to 5, for consistent outstanding service. Thanks Forklift! read more

Fork Lift is something else, this store stands out from the rest. You can tell by the way the store is always clean and how the produce is always on point. I was a Safeway shopper for years til I stubbled across Fork Lift. I love the selection you have and the many items that I find in my recipes that I have never heard of. Every time I have questions there is always someone there to help. The vibe at this store is very positive and uplifting. When going through the meat department, you can always hear them singing and having a great time. That just shows how they are treated. I've shopped other places and that's not always the case, a lot look unhappy but not at Fork Lift. I love going through the check stands because I get real conversation employees that really want to know how your day is and they really care. I will always be a loyal shopper here at Fork Lift. Aside from how pricy this place is compared to it formerly being Food for LESS I have to say I am impressed. Employees are some of the nicest and the lines are never very long. I will never shop anywhere else. The service tops every expectation I've ever had. Being a past employee I can also say what an incredible company they are to work for. They really strive to be the best and have a good time while doing so. I find some of the best produce, always. It's never moldy or not quite right. The deli and bakery are on it. They will help you with anything you need in a fast yet friendly pace. And the selections! My goodness there are almost too many to choose. No matter what dietary plan or lifestyle you are on they've got choices for you. The meat department is always so lively and helpful. And again with the choices, so much to choose! Being more of a warehouse style it's definitely big, but in the best way. The shelves are always packed full and if they aren't they are properly labeled as to why they are out of stock. As you go around people constantly ask if you need help and if not someone is always near by if you do. Checkout is always fast and friendly.
