I got the Moo Goo Gai Pan (asked for it to be made low salt) with brown rice and the dish came out very well made. Bubble tea was nice and refreshing - just a lot of ice to navigate around the pieces of tapioca (and therefore less actual tea). Take out only. Prices are average. Thankfully not greasy, but there was a lot of soy sauce in it giving it a good taste, but everything was a bit one dimensional. Ordering online was a breeze and pickup even faster. They do pretty much charge for everything - cookies, etc.... Do not assume anything else will be in the bag than the food that you ordered. I've been coming here since I was very small! I've always loved the getting a small Vegetable Lo Mein for lunch and bringing it out back to sit by the water. There was a different recipe that they used to use for this dish previously (over a decade ago) that was better, but it's still good! I'd recommend adding a packet of soy sauce to top it off. We had just finished eating at a neighboring seafood place and decided to pick up a quart of lo mein to share. We started with 3 plates but decided to ask for a fourth. In Chinese, assuming that we couldn't understand them, they complained that we wanted 4 plates for one order. Not wishing to cause any trouble, we gave them a $1 for their trouble. When my friend went back to get an extra fork, they addressed him and again complained. I would think the $1 extra we paid more than covered the cost of four styrofoam plates and 4 plastic forks. We stopped at this place as we wanted a really quick bite. I got something from the burrito place next to it while my brother got us some food to go from here. The service was definitely quick as he got the order in about 5 minutes. Overall the quality of food was ok. Pork fried rice, general gao's chicken. Spare ribs. There are picnic tables outside or you can take your food to the deck that overlooks the ocean. Prices are reasonable for PTown. read more

I wasted 10$ on terrible lo mein that was advertised as just chicken and noodles. It's all vegetables with a tiny bit of noodles and a tiny bit of chicken. I only really ordered from here because I wanted miso soup (which appears normal on every menu displayed by the window), but she told me it was unavailable. As many visitors to Provincetown know, or will soon find out, almost any meal served in late July or August around here is offered up with a sizable helping of attitude from tired, overworked employees. Except, that is, at Fortune Cookie. I am a vegan, and generally considered a real pain when I try to eat anywhere but my own kitchen. But Sofie, at Fortune Cookie, despite being slammed and having just dealt with a terribly rude customer in front of me, was as kind as could be. She was present and helpful. She clarified every ingredient in the things I asked about, made some suggestions, and even asked the kitchen to cook my vegetarian spring rolls in fresh oil. The rice noodles were fresh and delicious, and the spring rolls were crispy and hot. I have been eating here for years (besides being good, it is really the only option I know of for Chinese food in Provincetown), and I will continue to bring my business to Fortune Cookie. Sofie made my day with her kindness, and the food hit the spot. I have never posted to Yelp before, but was so refreshed by my experience that I decided to sign up to share! read more

Hot and sour soup was fundamentally tasty, but absent of discernible ingredients (save a few mushroom slices and a bit of silken tofu). But, overall, all food was yummy and fresh. I don't understand the low reviews for this place. I ordered scallion pancakes and chicken lo mein and was totally blown away. The chicken? Cooked to perfection! The scallion pancakes?? Best I've ever had!! And the dipping soy sauce - delicious! Do not confuse this with Sophie and David's Fortune Cookie. These are different owners and it shows. The love seems to have disappeared from this establishment with it's flavor. I ordered a few dishes to last a few days and was thoroughly disappointed. The boneless spareribs were shredded meat that tasted of honeyed nutmeg and no meat to speak of, more like dried beef. The scallion pancakes were so greasy that I was nauseated. The pork lo mein was greasy as well flavorless. The saddest was the Moo Goo Gai Pan on Brown rice. No flavor at all, no hint of garlic or onion. Just green flavorless vegetable a few shaved carrots and steamed chicken. I had this the second day and the flavors should have been increased but was completely bland. So sad that Sophie and David have gone, they should have taken the name so people won't think it is them that's running it now. Back to the mediocre Chinese food in Orleans. Best Chinese in town, Its actually the only Chinese in town so nothing can beat it lol. It's good food. Moderately priced as usually 2 people spending 40-60 bucks for dinner and having left overs with your stomach ache. They have new owners this year and food seems to have changed a bit, seems a lil less greasy so you can eat more without getting that I'm so full I'm sick feeling, but also lil less flavor.
