I'm not sure what I expected as I've never really liked this place: it's bland, inauthentic and mediocre at best. Cape Cod is the land of lobster rolls and other fresh seafood. I see ratings here complaining about quality and speed... and I say this... comparing a lower-priced, casual spot to a higher-priced restaurant on quality and expectations isn't fair, as their resources, ingredients, and service models are just fundamentally different. Casual spots are designed to offer quick, accessible meals and a relaxed atmosphere and this local spot has never disappointed in our 4-5 visits here so far!
