This is what Foss Motor Service Technicians say will take 4 hrs. of labor to repair.

I see some good reviews from customers on new car, truck sales but my experience with the Foss Motors Service department was not a good one. I had a tailgate sensor light on my Jeep Wrangler that wouldn't go off. I dropped the Jeep off and was surprised to receive a call a half hour later. The Service Admin. told me the technician found the problem which was a pinched wiring harness that cut thru some of the wires. Not so bad so far. However when I asked how much it would cost to fix it I was told $700!! I was very surprised to hear that amount for some crushed wires, but not knowing how bad it was I asked for the Service Admin. to send me a couple of pics of the damage and a breakdown of the costs. According to the Service Admin. this repair pictured would take a Certified Foss Technician 4 hrs. to repair. When I went to pick up my vehicle I talked to the Service Manager Ben to try to give him an opportunity to explain how this repair could possibly take 4 hrs. to repair. He could not and only confirmed what I knew that the wires would need to be stripped back, soldered and heat shrunk together. I will let you be the judge on the level of effort needed to fix this, but I plan on doing this repair myself this weekend and can guarantee you it will not take me more than an hour to do not close to the 4 hrs. quoted. Therefore, I'm writing this review to warn others to beware of Foss Motors Services Dept. who will gouge you on labor hours for service repairs to your vehicle. I will not be back there ever and do not recommend anyone else go there either.

Great place to buy a Jeep. Scott was amazing! I have bought my last 5 or so cars there. I wouldn't go anywhere else.

Worst dealership ever. They lie, push the sale, then ignore you when the car has issues.

I had a great experience purchasing a new vehicle from Foss. Danny in sales worked a solid deal and the service department was on point.

I purchased a Tesla Model S from Ira Pre-Owned just over a month ago, and unfortunately, my…read moreexperience has been extremely disappointing. Within weeks of owning the vehicle, I was forced to pay $1,410.24 out-of-pocket for repairs--this included replacing the 12V auxiliary battery, fixing suspension issues that caused noticeable clicking noises during driving, and replacing both the cabin and HEPA filters. These are not minor wear-and-tear items and, in my view, should have been identified during a proper pre-sale inspection. Tesla's diagnostic report noted that the 12V battery was near the end of its life, something detectable through standard offboard diagnostics. The suspension issue--caused by dry half shafts--resulted in a $760 repair. This was a very obvious mechanical problem, and it's deeply concerning that it wasn't caught before sale, especially since Ira Pre-Owned claimed the suspension and shocks met NH state inspection standards. While I understand that I purchased the vehicle "as-is," I expected a reasonable level of diligence, especially from a dealership that confidently resold my clean, certified BMW trade-in. To their credit, the dealership acknowledged the filter concerns and provided a discount for those. ( $100 dollars that I never got) But the larger, more critical mechanical issues were overlooked--and I'm now left footing the bill. I've reached out privately with the full Tesla invoice and am hoping the dealership will take another look at the situation. I believe a fair resolution is still possible, but as of now, I would caution others to be extremely thorough when buying from Ira Pre-Owned.

After reading other reviews on the place I decided to go elsewhere. Sales staff is a disrespectful joke. There is no shortage of cars for sale out there. Why would anyone deal with these people?

I was interested in trading in my vehicle (which I loved) for something with more current safety…read morefeatures. I drive ~100 miles/day for work, in traffic, so I need something safe, reliable, and comfortable. I'm now in a position where I am able to afford the next level up vehicle, so researched and test drove the GMC Acadia, VW Cross Sport, BMW X3, and Volvo XC40 and XC60, as well as looked at Audi and Mercedes. My experience at Exeter Volvo was by far the best of the bunch, which is saying a lot because I've bought my last 3 cars from the same salesman at GMC, who gave me his family discount last time. VW was so disinterested in selling me the car. BMW was super hard core pushy. My husband and I stopped by the dealership on a Sunday, thinking the dealership was closed. To our surprise, they weren't. We worked with Mike Hart, who has extensive experience with Volvo. After discussing what I was interested in, we test drove the XC40 and then the XC60 Inscription T6. My trade-in had ventilated seats and we test drove on a 95F day, which made me realize ventilated seats are now a must feature for me. Mike spoke with Adam about stock availability and they had one demo available with the seats I was looking for. We returned 2 days later to test drive the XC60 Inscription T5 and I was instantly impressed. (Massage seats! Driver AND passenger?!?! ) My husband has been a mechanic for 35 years and worked on race cars. He's a car guy. In 21 years I have never heard him say "I love this car" until this test drive. When we got back to the dealership, I signed the paperwork and scheduled the sale for Saturday. The entire process was friendly, informative, and supportive. I felt like Mike and Adam truly wanted to find me the car I wanted and didn't try to sell me anything else. I also feel like I got a fair deal and was treated respectfully during negotiation. Adam even saved me an extra $1K because of the company I work for. They had an opportunity between test drives (Sunday and Tuesday) to sell to another customer and gave me first dibs. That spoke volumes to me. The car was a demo with 500 miles. Not driven much, but did have some interior scratches and blemishes. They put the effort in to make the car brand new again, to my complete satisfaction. I was really impressed with their commitment to making sure I was a happy customer. The finance experience was great. I probably could have gotten myself a lower interest rate through my credit union, but it's was good enough and easier to go through Volvo. Leo was fantastic, straight-forward, and trustworthy. I did end up purchasing both an extended and tire warranty, and I feel good about that decision. Yesterday was my first commute to work in the new car. I am in love with this car! It's amazing, has everything I was looking for and more. I'm exceptionally happy with my purchase and the overall experience. I plan to bring my car for service to Exeter and foresee myself being a repeat customer.
