I regret not getting any ice cream*wahhh* but the fries were good and they give you a lot. This place still has a telephone booth right outside but there is no actual phone in it. The interior of Foster's looks kinda run down. So does the outside. That's OK as long as things are clean-ish. I'm glad there are still a FEW old school places in Southern California and they maintain their old classic appearance. Next time I go, I will order chili cheese fries and a dipped ice cream cone (maybe after I get my cholesterol below 200, though). read more

We had just moved to Glendora earlier in the week and I could tell my 4 year old daughter missed her old place. Our new home is bigger and more fun in every measurable way, but our old condo was where she was brought home too. And she was missing it. Our first Saturday in town we decided to get her a treat and took her to Foster's Freeze. She loved it. She got the chocolate cone dipped in chocolate. It was messy deliciousness. The staff was friendly and while we don't like to reward with food, it was just the treat we all needed. Thank you! read more

Grew up in Glendora during the 80s and 90s. Crazy to say it's like this place is frozen in time, in a good way. It's exactly the same from when I was a kid. Took my wife who has never had Fosters Freeze. This is one of the last ones left. It's a gem, portions are good. Drove all the way from south Orange County so she could try it. read more

This place is hands down delicious. My family and I go in for chocolate dipped cones and they never let us down. Service is great and ice cream is outstanding. Go in for our ice cream fix atleast once every month. Workers are very friendly and usually always have a place to sit if needed. read more

I usually come here after visiting my ophthalmologist nearby. I usually get their ice cream cone, both chocolate and vanilla are great. I've tried both the old fashion burger combo ($7.49) and spicy chicken burger. Both are tasty and their fries are good too. Nice staff too. Small parking lot and they take card. read more

SOFT SERVE REVIEW Foster's Freeze has been around since the 1940s, and a great Californian staple. This location on the southeast corner of S. Grand Ave & Foothill Blvd. I've never ordered any of their food here (burgers, sandwich)... just ice cream. They have Twisters, Shakes, Floats, Smoothies, Sundaes, and Cones to chose from. I've tried a variety of their menu items and the Twisters with chocolate/brownie mixed it, but nothing can beat a plain cone with chocolate and vanilla soft serve which is apparently "low fat". (who knew?). All the nutrition facts are listed on their website. For a Half & Half soft serve cone, it's 128.7 calories for a Jr. cone, 213.1 calories for a Small cone and 339 calories for a Large cone. I used to come here all the time when we lived in the area and have fond memories of a warm summer evening and getting a cone. Their soft serve is surprisingly flavorful and you can taste both the chocolate and vanilla. I liked mine plain and my husband would get his cone dipped in chocolate. 90s nostalgia all the way. recently visited here for a twister craving on a random Sunday night. surprisingly there was a line around 6pm. oreo twister was just as freakin delish as I remember. all I needed one a slice of pizza and a Mountain Dew to fell 12 yrs old again! super creamy, the junior size was huge enough to share with tons of Oreo pieces. love the original feel of the menu and the flavors. super quick service they accept cards and cash easy drive up parking. read more

Delicious goodness with a touch of nostalgia. I love the Fosters Freeze building and classic feel taking you back to the 1940s and 1950s. Even though you're not able to sit down because of COVID-19 (as of June 2020) the employees are friendly and provide excellent service. I saw them cleaning and keeping things neat. Love the ice cream but this review is based on customer service. Had my daughter say thank you and the worker was so rude and miserable and clearly just ignored her. If they dont like their job they should quit. But its also a red flag that they have the "we have the right to refuse service" probably because when you call out their horrible customer service they get butt hurt and refuse service. Never again. read more

Today was my first time trying this place and OMG, IT WAS ANAZING! My mom and I had an oreo twister which is one of the most popular items and it was out of this world! We both got a small and it's a huge and they fill it over the top! The soft serve they use is amazing and has so much flavor. (you can see the tint of yellow the soft serve has just like original vanilla). They also don't skimp on the oreos, the whole thing is mixed with lots of fresh oreos. ITS AMAZING. I can't wait to try other things from there because i bet everything is just a los delicious, but the oreo twister is probably going to be my go to order. You will never want to have a mcflurry again after you try this, ITS 10000 TIMES BETTER!!! read more

Foster's survived the last several wars, 9/11, the housing boom and bust, the recession, and basically the moral decline of the twenty-first century. You may wonder to yourself how could that be? When so many of its contemporaries, so many sweet spots around town closed it's doors, Foster's survived! Foster's is the one place I always visit when I'm back in the area, no matter what. If you're in the car with me, chances are Foster's is on me (cha-ching!)! No denying this is one of the best ice cream places ever. They're consistently coming up with fun treats but their recipes haven't changed, not even with the changing times. You don't need much cash (or card) to buy one of their tall dipped cones or sundaes and best of all, there's something "so Glendora" about this location which is what makes it so great! Not only is everything so good, the customer service is fantastic, and I don't see them going away anytime soon. Your sweet tooth will thank you. read more

About 5 months ago I got a banana split and the banana was old and mushy and completely black. Again this evening, my husband went and got me another one, again the Banana was black and mushy. Foster's Old Fashion Freeze is a throwback to the mid 20th century and is known mainly for their soft serve ice cream. Even though El Pollo Loco has a master franchise agreement in place to serve Foster's, there is still nothing like coming to one of these originals to have a soft serve cone... I am partial to the chocolate flavor, but they also have vanilla, or 50/50 (chocolate/vanilla swirl). They also have a chocolate dip but the I am more of a purist when it comes to soft serve chocolate... They also have something called a Twister shake which is a vanilla blended shake with pieces of candy mixed in like M&M's and Butterfinger bits... They also serve burgers, fries, chicken strips, and fish filets... This location has a indoor dining section as well as outdoor service windows... Between this place and the drive-thru dairy next door, you can get a historical sense of what it was like 50 or 60 years ago when the surrounding community was little more than citrus groves... read more

They had ran out of the churros so I was a little bummed. On the other hand, the hot Cheetos with nacho cheese were delicious. Can't ever go wrong with that. The strawberries made Dubai chocolate style were just okay. The pistachio cream they used didn't really taste like pistachios. Kinda just tasted like white chocolate drizzle. The banana paleta was also just okay. A fresh banana would've tasted much better but instead the bananas were super frozen so it was a bit difficult to eat. Service was excellent. The workers there were kind and worked quickly through the long line. There is some seating inside the store. Plenty of parking in a shared lot with other businesses.

My eggs Benedict were pretty good, but I had food poisoning the following day. Everyone else in my party said their food was eh. The food does not warrant the price. We would not go here again. Service was fine - waitress was very, very nice, but when you sit outside, it's a long time waiting for them to reappear.
