Never had this experience earlier. They charged $1 for the cup, just b'cos we asked water along with $20+ food.

I was craving a burger. I happened to be next to a Foster's Freeze (FF). I haven't been to an FF in years. I figured let's try it. I went with the boss and let me say I was impressed. I really enjoyed the burger. The fries were also good. They also serve Pepsi products. A small special note, due to some issues, they didn't have lettuce. We live in weird times. Nothing against FF. Just a note of the weird times we live in on how we can't get lettuce when lettuce comes from the central coast. Weird. Thanks FF for a great burger.

Small cone/cup, hot fudge Sunday, with whipped cream, nuts, and a cherry. Yummy!!!

It did the job. I thought it was kind of pricy, but it delivered. I got the hot fudge Sunday and it was all I wanted in a Sunday. And my dog got a few licks of a plain vanilla cup. They have plenty of seating indoors and a spacious parking lot. Service is quick and they are happy to answer questions. They don't serve child size cones. They are in the middle of a parking lot of empty businesses right off of the Main Street. My GPS gave me round about directions. If you see it just pull in.

I ordered a shake a small and it was $9.14 for this small shake what a rip off

I got a small shake chocolate peanut butter 10 bucks. What a rip off. ......................

This was the worst place I've been. No one came to take my order and I was the only customer in the restaurant.

When I eat out regardless if it is upscale or casual the service is what will keep me coming back. Jasmine was our server and she was wonderful. What Jasmine didn't know is yesterday was nine years since I laid my father down to rest and I was trying to keep it together all day, because no matter the time that has passed it is still a very emotional day for me. Therefore, getting out of the house to distract myself a bit was a must. Thankfully, everything was great, food, drinks, service, etc. For a moment while at dinner I forgot about the sadness and was enjoying my meal and engaging in a brief conversation with our wonderful server that made me smile. Thank you Jasmine for your kindness, excellent service, and attentiveness. People like me appreciate it. A SMILE GOES A LONG WAYS!

So I looked up the 10 best in Hollister and Harvest Time Roadhouse popped up. We showed up in various groups - almost hitting 100 people. They did not hesitate to accommodate our very large group. There is a separate large room to the left and an outdoor area which worked out incredibly well for us and our family. The entire staff was on point and did not miss a beat, got every single food and drink order and were so kind and empathetic to our entire group of family and friends. The staff was so amazing - especially Candace. That girl is top notch and took the best care of ALL of us. I didn't catch the other server helping Candace or the other bar tenders but they were ALL great! The food was good. Drinks were good w/ lots of great draft beers on tap AND have N/A beers (super important these days) and so so reasonably priced for all the great service and amount of food and drinks we got. Ps I'm vegan and they even have vegan options! Huge shout out and the sincerest thanks to Candace m, the entire staff, cooks and the owner. Can't say enough of how well they took great care of all of us! So grateful. It took lots off our family to end a hard day there.

Good thing we live in Hollister so that we can frequent this place again. Husband and I shared the Cowboy Burger: 1/2 Angus beef with onion ring, BBQ sauce, we switched out the Jack cheese for swiss.... and we opted for a salad instead of fries. W I had a Michelada (this was ok) and a pink lemonade buzz ball. Husband had the Blind Pig. Everything was great. It was a hot day, but our servers were attentive even with the menu delay. We were chilling. Def would come back!

White tablecloths, cozy booths, elegant decor, smooth music floating in the background... the whole place has classic old-school steakhouse energy in the best possible way. The bar area was already lively when we arrived around 4:50 p.m., and little by little the dining room filled up too. For a small town, this place was humming. Always a reassuring sign when hungry hikers are making important dinner decisions. Carmen, our server, was absolutely superb. Warm, professional, genuinely friendly, and her recommendations were spot on. The kind of service that quietly elevates the whole evening without making a performance out of it. We shared a ribeye with peppercorn sauce, a pear and prosciutto salad, and a deeply decadent chocolate dessert because apparently our bodies decided we had "earned it" after the trails. Honestly? Fair. The steak was beautifully prepared, flavorful and satisfying. The salad balanced everything nicely, and dessert fully committed to richness without apology. The only small miss for me was the mashed potatoes, which could have used a touch more creaminess. They seemed emotionally reserved. I also had a Manhattan that was expertly crafted, smooth, balanced, and exactly the kind of cocktail you want while sinking into a booth after miles of hiking. We genuinely enjoyed ourselves here. It felt less like dinner and more like a reward ceremony for surviving the trails, the sun, and our knees negotiating every downhill section.

By this point in the trip, we were fully committed to our "tapas style everything" philosophy. Why order one entrée each when you can create a tiny feast and slowly steal bites off each other's plates with zero shame? Over the two evenings, we shared the Berry Burrata Salad, Beet & Spinach Salad, cauliflower, Seared Ahi Tuna, Dungeness crab cakes, Angel Hair Pasta with shrimp, and lava cake. The pasta was perfectly al dente, the kind of texture that makes Italians nod approvingly from a distance. The crab cakes were flavorful and satisfying, and the beet salad thankfully avoided the tragic fate of being "healthy but boring." The lava cake was gloriously decadent and absolutely understood its assignment. The ahi tuna was good, though I wished for a bit more flavor to stand up to the wasabi situation happening on the plate. The Berry Burrata Salad was the only dish that felt a little sleepy. The berries seemed more decorative than committed. In a region overflowing with gorgeous local strawberries, I wanted the salad to lean harder into its fruity potential. Cocktail-wise, the pomegranate margarita was refreshing, balanced, and dangerously easy to keep sipping. Service was a mixed bag between the two nights. The first evening, our server gave off strong "this table again?" energy, and we had to remind her about bread. Meanwhile, one of the chefs stopped by to warmly thank us for dining there, which completely shifted the tone and genuinely stood out. Night two was a different experience altogether. Our server was friendly, attentive, and made the evening feel much more relaxed and welcoming. The space itself is lovely, warm, comfortable, with that slightly old-school elegance that makes you want to linger over another drink and pretend you are not in your hiking clothesq

Why there was a group of teenagers sitting at an area where they serve alcohol without a parent around baffled me. Because they were so obnoxious, we decided to just finish our drink and go somewhere else to eat. As we were getting ready to leave, one of the teenagers threw their drink out onto the walkway right in front of a couple walking past. The couple made a comment, something about them littering. Well, these feral teenagers then proceed to yell obscenities and be completely disrespectful and disgusting, Telling the woman that she's hella old and calling the man a P*ssy". I couldn't believe what I was watching. These kids wanted to fight this couple who were just trying to walk on the walkway. Why are these kids allowed to patron a bar and grill without parents around?! But then it got even more disturbing when a large man from the tattoo shop came out and also began yelling at the woman. Telling her that's his nephew and to leave the property. The woman tried to explain what happened and he just continued to bully her and yell at her just as the disrespectful teenagers were doing. Not one time did this couple say or do anything to deserve being yelled at! What has happened to Hollister? Why are these businesses letting kids act like this in their establishments and defending such horrible behavior? We will not be coming back to this place and I do not recommend the tattoo shop next door.
