We ended up forcing ourselves to try eat them all so we wouldn't waste food but we didn't eat them    *   The salmon was just okay... nothing memorable, nothing savory. Overall, everything tasted satisfactory, but not enjoyable or flavorful. For a $103 bill, this meal was definitely not worth it. Service: The service was just okay. We were seated by the bar, and our waitress kept disappearing because she was overwhelmed taking multiple orders from everyone around the bar. Sunday brunch was chaotic, and unfortunately, the experience fell short. We waited 15-20 minutes past our reservation time, which I understand can happen during busy hours. However, we were seated on the front patio (only 3 tables were there), and the service was easily one of the worst I've encountered. Our server came by only twice, and we had to go inside to ask for basic things like water and utensils. It felt like the front patio was completely forgotten, and the table next to us had a similar experience. The buffet lines were long, which I expected, but once we reached the front, most of the dishes were empty and we had to wait again for items to be refilled. I liked the overall concept and atmosphere, but the execution missed the mark. The food I did manage to try was actually good--but it was hard to enjoy when the service was so disappointing. First time here and we loved it! We made a reservation for the weekend brunch. We got there right before they opened and parked at a garage parking right next to the restaurant. Even though it was not fully packed, this place got quite busy by the time when we left. The staff were very friendly and attentive. They explained pretty well about the concept of this restaurant and how AYCE works here. Drinks are separate from the AYCE menu. I got a regular hot latte and my husband got a hot chocolate. What I really enjoyed the most was the quality of food. I was quite impressed with how fresh the veggies were and my top favorite was the grilled brussels sprouts. They had all kinds of different food and they had a separate section for dessert. Apparently they make everything from scratch and I enjoyed their freshly made biscuits! Came here for the first time with my husband on Valentine's Day, so it was super busy. Food: Apperizers - Prosciutto Farm Bread and The Philly Soft Pretzel. The Prosciutto Farm Bread was nice because it had a balance of sweet and salty flavors, included fig jam, mascarpone, and balsamic on top. The Soft Pretzel is great for sharing with a small group because you have different dips/spreads. Main Courses: I ordered the Spatchcock Chicken with honey thyme flavors (you can also choose Peruvian spiced or maple mustard). The mashed potatoes it comes with was also flavored the same way which I didn't expect. Enjoyed the whole dish, but I think I may be more adventurous next time. The ingredients definitely all tasted fresh, though but not really like anything new that I had never eaten. Dessert: Chocolate covered strawberries were served at the end for the Valentine's Day event. Nothing that special, but they were still good! Service: Excellent service, even the manager walked around to check on us and make sure we were okay with everything. I love the selection of chocolates at the front. I strongly do not recommend Founding Farmers unless you get there at opening or manage to get a full table reservation. Made a reservation for brunch on OpenTable at the bar cuz that sounded nice and I was in the mood for some brunch cocktails. When I arrived early I was told the bar was first-come-first-serve but I should be the only reserved placards at the bar. I then proceed to watch them seat a walk in group at said spot despite that reassurance. A logistical nightmare that wasted an hour commute for my party and all that amounted to was a sorry from the host. This was only our second time at this location but it was so enjoyable. Our daughter and son in law have birthdays within days of each other and lots of friends and family in town for their wedding so we had to celebrate their birthdays at Founding Farmers. We had a large party and everything was smooth and no issues at all. The food was delicious, service was excellent and we'll definitely be back next time we come to the DC area. I'm already looking forward to next time. It's that good!!! Be sure to plan ahead with reservations because they're always booked up. We came on Saturday afternoon for the buffet brunch. Lots of choices for whatever you may want. There is an egg and pancake station if you're up for a breakfast option. And if you want more of a lunch option, there were several salads and warm dishes such as roast beef, salmon, lasagna, and two types of fried chicken (southern and spicy). You will need to order the chicken pot pie when you are seated as it takes time to come to the table. Salmon was not dry and the roast beef had good pinkness. The dips were also good. I liked the crab and artichoke dip and went back for seconds! The spinach dip was also pretty good too! Whenever I go to buffets, I get very small portions of everything in my first go so I can decide what I like for my second go. The main meal was great since I was able to try as much as I wanted but I wasn't impressed with the dessert table. The mini donuts were dry. The beignet was good but too sweet. I think it would have been better with a sprinkling of sugar instead of the layer of icing. I think non-alcoholic drinks such as coffee and tea should have been included with the meal. I love Founding Farmers. I've never reviewed this place and I'm not sure why. If I do a Shop to you Drop day at Tysons, I start early and this is my first stop to get fuel in my body. Yup, it's also conveniently located near the Ritz Carlton, which if you're staying there you can just walk over. If not, parking is available for a cost at the garage adjacent to the restaurant. Service is not always on point, at least the times I've gone, but food is always great! One little secret, the pancakes are to die for! Ambiance is causal but because of the area, most people are in work attire. Patrons are giving Very Demure, Very Polished. Hubby and I ordered the corn bread for a starter. Then I enjoyed the pot roast, whereas hubby's prime rib dip was yummy! One negative is that the AC right above us came on while we are eating (brr!), which was odd for a cool fall day. They shouldn't be turning on the AC this time of year. All you can eat brunches are so fun but so filling! My friend and I came here for Sunday brunch and I'm glad we had a reservation as it was pretty busy. Our server greeted us immediately upon being seated and informed us of the brunch we could partake in. I ordered a mimosa for my drink and then we got in the small line for the buffet. You could maneuver around the stations depending what you were interested in getting. They have an extensive selection and I tried a lot of it just to see what I liked the most. Some of my faves were the hash browns with the salsa I added, shrimp salad, honey glazed salmon, catfish, southern fried chicken, and meatloaf. The items I tried that could have been better were the roasted beef and mini glazed donuts. I found both to be tough and the donuts also seemed a bit dried out. For a buffet brunch, Founding Farmers does a great job providing plenty of options for everyone. I'm glad I came hungry so I could enjoy this delicious spread. We had a great experience at Founding Farmers overall. Our waiter, Tabs, was fantastic--friendly, attentive, and made us feel well taken care of throughout the meal. I ordered the chicken and waffles but substituted a biscuit and broccoli instead of the waffle and green beans. The chicken and biscuit were really good and flavorful. The broccoli, however, was a miss for me. It was undercooked and slightly burnt. On the plus side, the strawberry ginger margarita was excellent. It was refreshing, well balanced, and easily the highlight of the meal. Between the solid food, standout cocktail, and great service from Tabs, it was an enjoyable visit, and I'd definitely come back to try other menu items. read more

This is a nice restaurant with pretty good food and normally pretty good service. However, my experience today was very frustrating. I arrived to pick up 6 donuts and a coffee. As soon as I arrived I let the hostess know I was early and my online order. She said "no problem". After all it's donuts and a coffee. It then took 25 minutes to get the donuts and I eventually left and never got the coffee. There were 4 staff working the front of the house and it still took 25 minutes. Then after I left the staff then decided to call me and ask that I not write a bad review. So they had time to call me and try to suck up after I left but not enough time to actually do their job while I was there. I'll return for a meal but I'll never order takeout again. The customer service was poor, defensive, and refused to take accountability for being slow. read more

Our waitress, Michele, was a long-time employee and extremely knowledgeable about the menu. Service was perfect. I got the lentil soup, a special of the day; it came with a piece of bread. It was really good! My friend ordered from the "Specialties" portion of the menu and got the chicken spinach enchiladas wi the Michelle's guidance. She LOVED THEM! So I got this shrimp carbonara instead... 0/5 will NEVER ORDER AGAIN. bland can't even come close to it. The one plus side to the dish was the jumbo shrimp. But for the price point?! We disliked everything we got for entrees and spent over $400 that night with drinks included for 4 people. Several of us went for breakfast on a weekday morning, right at opening time. I was impressed that when I walked in at opening time they were ready to go. At many restaurants if you go in at opening time they are really just starting to get tables set, food ready, servers ready, etc. We had the Farmer's Breakfast and the breakfast tacos. Gotta ding a couple stars for what I found to be shocking at time of payment. So a handheld point of sale device was used, and I believe it was the Toast system. The total bill for lunch was $74.55, including tax. When the handheld was brought out, and the card inserted for payment, the pop up came out with 20%, 22%, and another percentage as the tip options. I selected 22% because it was RW and I was pleased with the meal and service. However, the total came out to $94.59! That's actually 26.8% and not 22%! What the heck is that all about?!?! Next time, I suggest diners enter in a manual tip amount, vice relying on Toast's POS suggested tip percentages which are off! read more
