I had a weird experience with a groomer. She only trimmed half the tail of my Jack Russell/wire haired Terrier mix. I had to take her back to have the finished. Her explanation for how ahe trimmed the tail was there were notes for what to do with my short-haired dog and many people want the hair left long on their shih thus' tails... I looked at her in disbelief and suggested additional training. After $69 (jncluding tip) I am not sure if I will return. read more

I've used Four Paws since 2012 for grooming and for they're pet inn service. I highly recommend Four Paws for your pets. The staff cares about customer service and how to manage a well run business. Please note that this establishment is under new management and they do not have access to previous records. That would not be a problem if they were nicer on the phone when informing existing customers about their new management and exorbitant price increase. We used this facility once before and were very pleased with how our pets came out wagging their tails and had excellent grooms. The person on the phone today was condescending and borderline rude. Not a place I'd want to stay or leave a beloved family member with. Other reviewers highlight the experience since the change. Maybe the person on phone was having a bad day or rushing out the door to scoop up a Black Friday deal. Anywho.....not giving them $48.00 per day per pet without perks, pics, or report cards. We came from Indio area because we were in desperate need to find a place that would take our husky, and most desert people down this way take their huskies to Pets Smart to get groomed(ummmm, no thank you). We would have rather drove the extra hour to make sure that our dogs were taken care of. Let me tell you, it was worth it! Our husky looks amazing and the de-shedding treatment was well worth it too. I initially took a tour of Four Paws Inn in preparation for future day care and boarding. I loved the set-up and the staff! I started bringing my puppy Goldendoodle on our monthly golf Sundays. Fast forward I began taking her 1-2 days a week. Nova loves this place. When she sees me packing up her food and say 'lets go see your friends' she is at the door. When we get here now she is ready to get out of the car and practically running in. I adore Four Paws Inn staff. I feel relaxed when my Nova is here. Kelly is the best. I have been coming here for a very long time. I got a new puppy and for some reason tried a groomer really close to home. What a mistake. That groomer told me that my dog was a nightmare to groom and did a bad job. I think there was something wrong with that groomer ( she is now out of business). I went back to 4 paws and Kelly groomed my girl. My girl loves Kelly and has never been a problem for her and she is always groomed perfectly. so worth the drive. read more

Awesome!!!!!! We had to board our 4 month old puppy here to attend a family event. We called and the gal who answered the phone was very informative and very caring. We set the date and when we arrived our first impression was how nice and well maintained it is. When we walked inside it just got better. So welcoming and smelled clean and nice - really homey and you wouldn't know the place was full of furry friends. They offer socialization (a social hour!) and large kennels for the pets. Even the cat room has allowances for the babies to roam and a door with a window so it's not like a prison! You can bring your beddings and something familiar to help your pet get acclimated and can bring your own food if you wish. (We did) They will also do any grooming while your pet is there - we had our pups nails trimmed and they did a fantastic job!! The staff is SO friendly and really care about the animals. We LOVE that!!! They even gave us a tour before we left. The price is great. We were so nervous about leaving him and returned to a happy pup who even loved up one of the staff members before we left. We WILL return and I tell everyone how wonderful this place is!!!!! I have taken my dog Rocko here a handful of times now and I am never disappointed! The staff is always so friendly and helpful, which I'm sure everyone always appreciates. I have a mixed breed dog (not sure what breeds), and he sheds like you wouldn't believe. I started having him get groomed here more often, and I can already see the difference! Even though Rocko still won't let the girls clip his toe nails, he still loves them. Today was my 2nd time coming here with my husky Diego to get his hair done and I couldn't be more pleased. The customer service is excellent and the services he gets I couldn't be any more pleased with. I was taking him to another place in the area and when I would pick him up there would still be ALOT of hair coming off of him. I thought it was just him and his breed until my first time at 4 Paws. There was a reduction of shedding immediately. He just jumped on my brown couch and there were very few hairs left behind. Prices are very reasonable and you definitely get your money's worth. Just toured the facility, want to be completely comfortable before boarding my dogs there, plus my Special daughter started working last week. She can't stop talking about it! I got to tour the facility today. On top of grooming they board dogs and cats. There are all indoor kennels, indoor kennels that weather permitting, doors are opened to outdoor kennels, 5 outdoor play areas, a cat room, a VIP section that is like a home with its own outdoor play area, AND a large grooming room, and smaller drying grooming room. It was neat, clean, and very impressive. No ordors. When a small business is willing to give a Special person a chance, they have my business. I also left a google review because I want people to be aware of this place. Not even going to talk about costumer service but what happened to my 5 yr old Siberian husky mix. Left her there 4 days and when I picked her up her legs were covered with poop and they had lost her bone. I don't know why she would be covered in poop if they "walk them 4x a day" my dog is fully potty trained and doesn't have accidents. They had not answers for me when it came down to the poop on her legs or anything actually they like to blame each other in this case the kennel attendant that wasn't there when I picked her up. After what happened to my dog I would expect at least a call to clarify the problem she said she would call when they knew what happened to her bone but never did. This place is disgusting and the employees are lazy and not animals lovers obviously in the wrong field. read more

I had taken my very sweet Staffordshire Terrier to Four Paws twice. She had never been boarded before, and was obviously scared of the whole situation. They moved her to a kennel next to the main door so they could talk to her as they went in and out as she was shaking the whole time. That was very nice. Now, I need to board her again, and I've been told that they no longer board Pitbulls for insurance reasons. I guess I get it, but come on. I'm giving Four Paws one star because I thought they were different. When is this breed going to get a break. read more

Today I took my senior dog, Max I. to have bathed & groomed. a lady was up at the counter bad mouthing Four Paws Inn at Shelly (I think that was her name) stating "everyone is unhappy with the new owners etc etc etc. talking very very loud for all to hear. letting her know "she should know this ahead of time and to be aware"....as she walked away after dropping off her dog, a sheltie, I stuck up for Shelly and I said if the lady doesn't like it she shouldn't bring her dog in and complain! I've taken my little dog here for more than two years and now it seems them"wheels have dropped off!" Heretofore, I've been more than happy. The last two times they've sent my dog home with the wrong leash and harness. The first time it happened, I had to wait a week to get them back. The second time, they called to tell me that they didn't believe me because the people with whom they sent my leash and harness denied it was the wrong set! Small wonder, inasmuch as our harness is newer and the leash a higher quality leather....... The owner does not return calls, so I'm considering taking her to small claims court even though it will cost less to replace my missing items than the filing cost, but to be accused of lying is more than my personal integrity can absorb. The cost of replacing both has since been absorbed by Four Paws as of August. read more

We've come home late, brought them early, forgotten food, asked for baths etc last minute and every time Four Paws has been more than accommodating. My pups literally run inside like it's they're spring break! I know that when I leave town, I can rest easy knowing my dogs in good care ! They care for animals big and small, providing snacks, accessories, and so much more! i have brought my dogs here a few times because the business is locally owned. out of maybe 4 or 5 times of bringing them here, my minipoo has been released to me with a burned paw once and a swollen penis twice. when i picked him up with the burned paw, he acted like he just needed to go pee, but when i picked him up so he would not have to walk on the hot asphalt, his paw was completely burned. i asked what happened and no one knew. then, a few months ago, i boarded them for a few days, and got a call that the minipoo's penis looked like a lollipop after being groomed. i picked him up and it subsided within a few days. i dropped them off yesterday afternoon and picked them up at 1:45. charlie got groomed and, again, his penis is completely swollen. i have taken these dogs to petco a hundred times and this has never happened. again, they let me leave without mentioning it. i noticed in the parking lot and when i returned, they told me he was like that when i dropped him off. he was absolutely not. i spoke to the owner who basically said she doesn't know and if i want to take him to the vet and its their fault, they will pay for it. they seemed unconcerned and would have let me leave without saying anything if i hadnt noticed it. be careful. i will never bring my dogs here again. i hate to blast a local business but i have given them many chances and out of at least 3 incidents they have seemed unconcerned about any of them. read more

Our dogs were scheduled to stay 5 days. I called the facility 3x a day to check on our puppies. A bit obsessive?? Not really because this was my first time leaving them. When I left my puppies I specifically instructed the staff to house them separately one is very playful and the other do not want to play all the time. I called to check on them and the staff made an administrative decision to put them in the kennel together because they seem sad. Nice jester however if specific instructions are left they should be followed. Staff don't get to make decisions directly against what was told by the owners!!! Once I reminded them of my instructions the staff was very rude when at the end of the day it was them that did not follow my instructions. Sooo on day 4 I had to call my friend and ask her to rescue my puppies. Wouldn't recommend the place if you are very particular about your pets... read more
