I was very impressed with the service and the food I received. The staff was very friendly, helpful and professional. I very much recommend this restaurant. I placed in the top 5 restaurants to go to in Texas.

Amazing grilled goat cheese with roasted red bell pepper pesto, seriously get this!!

Everything from beginning to end was spectacular, we started with free bread and water, then a glass of wine for me and a Shiner Bock for my husband with a cold mug . Our waitress Ashley came over with her trainee, and they were both really nice. Next we oreder the grilled goat cheese with roasted red bell pepper pesto, this was to die for!! My hubby got the 26oz ribeye with peppercorn sauce and it was cooked perfectly. At home he always gives me the middle part, otherwise known as the fillet, and I got the in house made mozzarella salad with the basil balsamic vinaigrette, we shared everything. We didn't leave room for dessert, but next time I think we'll start with that lol. All in all it was a pretty amazing way to celebrate our 12tg wedding anniversary. I honestly can't think of one bad thing to say

We drove over an hour to dine here after hearing great things--and the food truly did live up to the hype. Every dish we tried was flavorful and well-executed, and the wine selection was excellent. Our server was friendly and professional, which we appreciated. That said, a few details in the service left the overall experience feeling a bit underwhelming, especially for a first-time visit. Bread was served before water service, and we had to specifically ask for the cocktail and wine menu instead of it being offered when seated. For a restaurant with such a reputation, we also expected a bit more of a warm welcome or introduction--especially regarding the restaurant's history, which we were curious about but had to ask ourselves. We were also celebrating a birthday and mentioned it in advance, but there wasn't any special acknowledgment, seating consideration, or dessert gesture, which would've elevated the occasion. Overall, the food and wine made it worth the trip, but with a few tweaks to the guest experience--especially for newcomers or special celebrations--it could've been truly exceptional.

We came here for a work trip dinner on a Wednesday night at 7. The place is remote and has a cute rustic vibe. It was recommended and they said we must make reservations. I have no idea why as 45 minutes into dinner we were the last ones in the place and they closed at 10. It ended up being a two hour dinner as the service was very slow. The goat cheese appetizer was great and everyone liked the onion rings as well. I got the steak salad and the steak was cooked perfect and had a great blue cheese balsamic dressing. I did ask for it on the side as it is tossed. The rest of the salad wasn't great. The tomato's was like two Hal's of a whole big tomato. Could have been cut up. The cheesecake for dessert with the chocolate dressing was a must have. This place is nice for the area as there aren't many upscale options. But it wasn't as amazing as I thought it would be. The prices are good for what is it.

Ask the Community - Four Winds Steakhouse

Is everything ordered ala carte or do they have packaged meals to choose?

Most all are a la carte. The sides are large portions and generous enough for two to four people.

Theirs was the perfect consistency and had hummus at the bottom, which was interesting and tasty. The scallops were really well seasoned and perfectly cooked. I wish it came accompanied by stuff I wanted to eat, but that was fine. Cario, the bartender, took great care of me while I ate. The espresso martini he made was phenomenal! He made a good old fashioned as well. The complimentary champagne started out my evening beautifully. I'd go back next time I'm in Dallas.

People in our party of 5 had been to Fort Worth and really enjoyed it- especially the corn crème brûlée.....So we tried Dallas. Would direct people back to Fort Worth. I can't recommend our server, he was transactional, short and not interactive and it was as if he was in the wrong position. Other servers seemed welcoming and friendly. The food was decent. I enjoyed my lamb chops(although more rare in spots), but not the mix that was underneath it. The two that got the salmon said it was ok, a bit overcooked and they also didn't care for the mix underneath. The filet was stupendous and the cowboy was really delicious. They really liked the mac&blue cheese- if you don't like blue cheese, I would steer clear! Portions were good. I guess stick to the steaks! The vanilla/sprinkles circular layered birthday cake with a huge sparkler candle was awesome! It was not included, but it was a large portion!!

Wow! This was truly one of the best steaks I've ever had the pleasure of eating. The appetizers,…read moredeviled eggs and bacon-wrapped shrimp, were good. The Caesar salad was good, traditional, fresh, and the correct size. The garlic mashed potatoes were good. But the wagyu NY strip was just incredible. It was almost black on the outside and just warm on the inside, a perfect rare as wagyu beef should be. The meat was unctuous and delicious without being greasy or fatty. It was so richly umami flavorful, perfectly seasoned. It was just an excellent steak. The bourbon bread pudding was a huge serving and wonderfully flavorful. There was some nice bread to go with the meal too. The smoked old fashioned cocktail before dinner was excellent. And I got a nice Cabernet that perfectly paired with the steak. Our server was casual but friendly with a good balance of hospitality and service. This was truly a great dinner and one of the best steaks I've ever had... and all of this in Ennis, Texas. Great North Ennis steakhouse giving huge lodge, cabin, cowboy vibes…read more The place is always packed at dinner but the wait never seems to be too long. Perhaps because they have a well-stocked bar with good beer and better bourbon selections. Don't skip the Smoked Old Fashioned. Food is great with traditional steakhouse choices and some pricier Wagyu options. When we are there, we seem to settle on a family style board with 2-3 cuts and the Beef Rib. Oh my, the Beef Rib smoked for 73 hours because I guess 3 days isn't quite enough time. Sides are solid and the table typically gets excited about the Brussels sprouts. Jalapeno Cheddar Cream Corn is can't miss either. Service is prompt, friendly and helpful. I'm here at least once a trip when in the greater Ennis metroplex. You should visit too.
