We stopped here about 3pm on the Saturday after Thanksgiving while visiting with my brother and his girlfriend. We were driving to Gettysburg after stopping at Adams County Winery and thought we would look for a brewpub. What is cooler than stopping at FourScore while in Gettysburg, PA. and what better way to market their product than by using Honest Abe Lincoln to assist. I have always been a fan of Abe Lincoln. And his Gettysburg Address holds a special place in my heart. We walked in and it was pretty busy but we found a few seats at the bar and perused the menu. Although, the food menu looked good, we decided to eat somewhere else but we did have a few beers. They have about 12 of their own beers on tap and today happened to be the release of two new flavors. I decided to have 4 - 4oz samples for $8.80. My brother chose a full glass of one of their new release beers. Jared took care of us at the bar and was a wealth of information. We learned from him that FourScore opened July 31, 2019. He also gave us a few other ideas where we should stop on our short visit. The building was beautifully renovated, the employees were friendly and knowledgeable, the drinks were yummy and the items coming out of the kitchen looked delicious. Yesss, this place is awesome! We stopped by after a day exploring nearby Gettysburg National Military Park. Very limited parking out front (4 spots in the lot) and street parking can get snagged quickly. This place definitely gets busy and seating is first come, first serve. Food and drinks are both ordered at the bar area. The 4 flight sampler hit the spot and the presentation was nice! I really enjoyed the Hop Hat and Cafe Cubano and also liked the presidential / Gettysburg themed beer names. They have 4 packs and crowlers to go and tons of merch-- highly recommend if you're in the area! read more

I really wanted to like this place. (This review does not discuss their beer - we didn't order any) Came in with a small group at the beginning of lunch. There was only one couple there when we came in. You order at the bar and they bring your food to you. We ordered catfish tacos, fries, and avocado chicken sandwich. It took longer than I expected for the food to come out, about 20 minutes. It didn't help that the food was incredibly average when we finally got it. The catfish tacos were solid. Crispy fried catfish with a flavorful slaw. It was a little more runny than I prefer which made the (I think hand made tortillas) a little soggy. I also would've liked to see bigger pieces of catfish. For $13 dollars it seemed a little overpriced because it came with no side. The side order fries was $7 and it was a large basket. They were thin and crispy which I like, but almost the entire basket was filled with very tiny pieces which made it difficult to eat and dip into their beer sauce which was pretty good. The real swing and miss was the avocado chicken sandwich. It looked and tasted terrible. It genuinely looked like canned chicken that was old and gray. I'm assuming the color came from them mixing in the avocado early in the day or the previous day and letting it sit. There was no "green" appearance or avocado texture to it at all. It didn't look or taste fresh. The bread was the only highlight. Another disappointment was that the guy coming around to pick up our plates definitely noticed the un-eaten sandwich and didn't say anything to us or ask how our meal was. If I'm in the area again I'll try and order something else off the menu and update my review. But as it stands: overpriced for below average food and service. The decor is nice and the place has potential, I just hope they hire a real chef and focus on fresh food, made to order to match the prices. read more

Fourscore was definitely on my list of places to go once I came to Gettysburg. My parents are locals and had already been... so this was a special request once I got here. I'm so glad to have gone and DEFINITELY want to come back. As for the beers first... I'm an IPA gal and sampled a few of their more popular IPAs. They had several! I also tried the Gettys Brau just because I liked the name. It ended up being my favorite and I took a 4-pack home with me. The food... they put some thought and effort into these dishes. They aren't just some brewery foods not worth mentioning. I had the pulled pork sandwich.. it was EXCELLENT. I tried one of the wings too, which were also great. As for the ambiance - it was bright and clean. They have crayons and games for the kids (not something I normally care about but if it keeps kids from yelling and screaming then yay) They also have a nice little outdoor patio. LOVED it. FourScore is what used to be a little hidden gem in Gettysburg. This brewery is great! They have fantastic sours and food that is just as good. We've been here a few times and have never been disappointed. Anytime we get the opportunity to be in Gettysburg we stop here consistently. In fact, we'll probably be here this upcoming weekend. It's "cafeteria style" food, which is nice because you can literally sit anywhere and they bring it to you when ready. Service is quick and friendly. It's always a good time at FourScore! read more

Parking is street parking only and can be difficult to find parking that is close to the brewery. I visited Fourscore with my girlfriend and her sister. We all had a very good experience. This might be a Covid thing, but it was order at the bar inside and order at a window outside (we sat outside). The woman at the window was polite, friendly, and helpful and knew the beers. For food, I got their brisket sandwich. I'd get it again. My girlfriend and her sister both got brats topped with a slaw made with local fruit (iirc, peach and apple). They were fans, and the bite I had worked for me. The food isn't the draw for breweries like this, but if you're thinking about visiting, I think the food is an upside. For the main event, the beer: I was happy with the selection they had on offer. They had several IPAs, including some trendy hazies. They also had multiple fruited sours. But, there was also a rye lager, a doppelbock, and a couple of other selections for people who's beer tastes are a little less on trend. And that was just on draft. They also have an expansive list of creative beers in cans. Between the beer selection and the good, approachable food, I think they offer a good experience for pretty much anyone who likes breweries. I hope to be in the area more often in the future, and if that pans out, I expect to become a repeat customer. read more

Fourscore probably has some of the best beer I've had- we really loved the flights and had several between the two of us! I think our favs were the Grape Escape and one of the citrusy Hazy IPA's that had another fun name I can't recall. The wings were top notch but the chicken tacos were just okay. We loved the logo so much that we each got a hoodie to go. We also came back to order the fried chicken sammie to go and that was pretty good, even eaten cold that night! My biggest issue is that the online menu was a pain to access and the bartenders (one guy in particular) were weirdly stingy about letting us have a menu to keep at the table so we could read about the beers we were drinking. Like, dude- print some more menus- this isnt that deep. but despite that, we really enjoyed our visit. We bought some cans to go and definitely will come back. read more

We love going here when we're in Gettysburg. I wasn't overly impressed with the Chicken tortillas because they were somewhat dry. But the Sour Beers we had have been really good. The Lots of Joy Stout was quite heavy and I was on the fence about it. I drank it but wouldn't purchase it again. My husband didn't like it. The fries are quite good and I believe are hand cut. We will go back to try one of the many beers they have on tap along with something else off the menu. The only drawback is you're not allowed to bring your dog with you in the outside eating area which I found odd since Center City seems very welcoming of pets. read more

We visited here last Sunday and was so glad we did! I loved the atmosphere (bonus points for the 90s hip hop music playing). We both ordered sandwiches (brisket and turkey club). Both were toasted with perfection. Brisket was excellent but the turkey on the club was a little slimy. The sour brews we tried were EXCELLENT. Easily the best I've ever tried. The Rita one so good. Good food, good brew. This place was a nice break from the spring huddle and bustle that is Gettysburg. Settled on an downtown off street, pub's crowd indicated it was worth a look. FourScore had plenty of variety for all hops and non-hop fans. Flights provide a good spread of that variety...to-go packs and prowlers provide a means to take one's fave home with them on their way out. The food was fairly priced and generous portions. Hidden Gem in Gettysburg PA! We visited Fourscore Beer Company for the first time and were surprised this amazing place doesn't get more chatter on sites because everything was spot on! They have a large outdoor seating area with multiple vertical heaters, which took the edge off. Thank you to the staff member who happily refilled and started the heater near our table! All the employees we interacted with were very positive, welcoming, and glad we stopped by for a visit. Fourscore has a variety of beverages include a nice selection of sours, which seemed very popular, IPAs, lagers and seasonal. We sampled several of them and were very pleased with the overall quality and depth. Their Penn Fest, which is their October Fest beer, was one of the best "Fest beers" I've tasted this season. The Hop Hat IPA was very solid as were the other ones we sampled. The food was also delicious! We tried their Fourscore burger with Manchego cheese on a whole oat roll and it was delicious. It had a mixture of sausage and beef together, which boosted the flavor. The Italian sausage sandwich was equally as tasty and their homemade chicken tenders were delicious. The fries that accompanied were also very good. Overall, Four Score is a must visit for foodies and craft brew fans. Excellent addition to Gettysburg! I popped in for lunch, so you know right now (during covid) you go in and order at the bar and then take a seat wherever and they bring your food to you. Keep your tab open if you want another beer, if you close out you'll have to buy more food. I ordered the Italian Sausage with fries and a side of beer cheese. The sausage was delicious and a bit different than the normal "sausage and peppers" it had a nice hint of paprika and was very good, although a bit on the tiny side I felt, so just wish there was a bit more. The fries, oh man, these were like crack, as well as the beer cheese, I honestly debated going back and getting another order of fries, but then remembered I already gained the Covid 19 (see what I did there?). As for beer, I only had one it was their pineapple/passion fruit sour, it was delicious! I really look forward to coming back here to try more brews. The service was absolutely outstanding as well! Some really stellar, unique items from their food and beer selection but we also had quite a few hit-or-miss items and it was a bit pricey for me. Overall 3.5 but can be great if you order the right thing! The good: Some of the best chicken tenders ever. They have a unique crispy oat coating with a buttery flavor. Yummy crispy, salty shoestring fries. Amazing crunchy croutons on the salad plus very fresh vegetables. For beer, we loved the watermelon sour and an imperial stout we tried. Hit or miss: We tried their frozen sour beer slushie in Banana Passionfruit and Strawberry Mango Creamsicle. The idea is cool but fell short for me. It mostly tasted like beer to me with little of the fruity flavor. Wagyu hot dog was ok. I was expecting something juicy and flavorful because of the Wagyu but nothing special hit my tastebuds. The salad dressing (we got garlic lime) lacked a lot of flavor and salt so the salad ended up quite bland. The pulled pork also had a strong cumin or curry powder flavor which was interesting. The flavor didn't quite fit to me and it wasn't marketed as a fusion type of dish on the menu. Lastly I found this place to be a bit on the pricey side. Lots of great shaded outdoor seating plus you can order through a side window outside which I think is a great social distancing safety measure. Hidden gem in Gettysburg. Food was good and beer was better! The only complaint would be they were understaffed (most likely due to Covid). Rolled into two about 2 hours before closing. No seating as the regulations from covid and it being a popular place. You need to have food in order to sit and drink. So we ordered fries (the shoestring kind :) !!) and drank beers. They rotate beers pretty often it seems, but the stouts and sours on tap were great that night! Atmosphere inside was great as well. It did take a while to order, around 10 mins as there was one bartender. This is a cafeteria style dining arrangement, they don't come by your table other than to drop food off. Came back before leaving for MD to grab some beers to go! Again, the wait was there as it was packed. We somehow managed to grab a table and ordered the grilled cheese with fries. Delicious!! IPAs were tasty, and they had bottles of barrel aged stouts which I ended up taking home. Overall a good first and second impressions for a brewery. Would recommend more staff, but beers and food were on point! read more

This place was good. They had different kinds of craft beers. No food but you could take your own snack trays in with you. My wife made up a tackle box tray with compartments in it for different snacks. Crackers, cheese, salami, pepperoni, hell can't remember what all she had in there. But I know we had a good time. The alcohol selection was so bland that we didn't even bother getting any. The prices were a bit expensive too. My girlfriend asked for a honey mustard dipping sauce and was charged 80 cents. Fun place but they need kitchen help badly definitely don't go if you're hungry. Be prepared to wait a MINIMUM of an hour once food has been ordered, we waited an hour and half once we ordered and were told 30-45 minutes which we thought was long but little did we know.... Each time we asked for an update we were told they had no idea how much longer it would be or "10 more minutes". I felt VERY taken advantage of and disappointed we won't be back. read more
