We didn't do our Sunday ritual today and go to Moon's downtown. My husband and I were out running errands in Meridian so we decided to keep breakfast easy this morning and head to Sarah's bagel shop. I have been to the downtown location and had such a good experience there. The staff there was so friendly! Unfortunately, today's visit at it's sister location was not the same. Walking in, the joint is really bright and clean. I appreciate the huge menu boards of all their items. Everything looked so good at first glance in the display case. We hung out for a second going over everything when the employees started coming out. We weren't really greeted. No one really said hi. Finally a gentleman stood there to take our order. I got my husband's order taken care of. I still needed a minute and finally decided on my sandwich. And this is when things really started to go down hill. We stood at the counter waiting to pay. Waiting, waiting, standing there like a couple idiots. The young gal behind the counter let some other customer cut us off and pay for some random drinks. And then we just stood there. I asked the gal if she was going to ring us up and she said no. "Go sit down and you pay when you get your food". Well, that would have been nice to know if someone would have told us that in the first place. We finally paid for our order, got our food and a table. For brunch I grabbed a tasty turkey sammy on a croissant. My husband got a egg, ham and cheese on a croissant. We also snagged a couple smoothies. We got lemon mango and peach. Our sandwiches were nicely made. My sandwich had fresh veggies in it, a good amount of turkey and the herb cream cheese was savory. My husband devoured his breakfast sammy. The croissant was buttery and soft. It honestly was a great sandwich. If you're planning on selling boba in your teas, coffees and smoothies, please make sure the boba pearls are edible. It was amazing how many uncooked boba pearls were on the bottom of my smoothie. Hard, inedible pearls. How embarrassing. I didn't even order them in my smoothie but I got them. I paid for inedible boba pearls so make sure you specify if you want them or not. As gross as they were, I would recommend a hard no on the boba pearls. The smoothies itself were good. The lemon mango was refreshing even though it was thick and hearty. The peach smoothie was really tasty as well. They are gracious with their sizes. I got medium and barely drank half. I will say their smoothies are pretty legit. As good as the sammys were, I just can't get over the rude staff and my hard boba pearls. For me, I rate on the whole experience and I just can't go higher than a 2. Communication with your customers is so important and clearly this joint lacks it. So basic but not given here. I'll stick to the downtown location for my future Sarah's bagel visits from now on. I want to enjoy my food that's prepared by a nice staff. read more

I CRAVE the Turkey sandwich with sprouts on a plane bagel! All the flavors just get me! I don't know what magic they sprinkle but it's my fave go-to for a quick sandwich! I also really like their cinnamon raisin bagels, and I get them without cream cheese just so I have a few extra in the house to snack on! They're on DoorDash which is perfect for me when I'm super busy with work but need stomach fuel! Sarah's Bagels, your menu feeds my soul on days that I need it and I love you for that! This location is near the Verizon store between main and Meridian streets and there is parking right in front. It's also near Goat donuts. Enjoy! read more

Busy Sunday morning, but only waited about 5 minutes for my bagel. Got a bacon egg & cheese on pesto bagel for $6, added herb cream cheese for $1.50 and in my opinion, it was worth it! Multiple pieces of perfectly crispy bacon, plenty of herbed cream cheese, definitely more than just one egg, looks to be about 2 (No egg patties, cooked in store). There's even a piece of cheddar cheese melted on top of the bagel, so yummy! I will choose Sarah's bagels over Blue Sky moving forward. For the same price, Sarah's gives you homemade with quality ingredients, while Blue Sky only house makes bagels/"schmear", and uses low quality Sysco ingredients (frozen egg patties, icky/not crispy/low quality bacon, etc.). The bagels are just straight up better at Sarah's, too. read more

I really enjoy this place! My bagel sandwiches are the best!! Even if I just want a simple order of a toasted bagel and cream cheese ...so good!!! Great variety of bagels to choose from. They do offer different flavors of the cream cheese so that's a nice thing too. If you're in the mood for a bagel or smoothie or coffee and in the meridian area give Sarah's a try! I honestly have no idea how anyone could give this place more than 2 stars. For me, it's 1 star. The staff is unfriendly and the bagels are a step below grocery store bagels (flavorless, vastly over-baked, and basically wonder bread shaped like a bagel). I gave them two chances, just in case the first try was a one-off bad day for Sarah's, but round two proved that they consistently suck. Maybe their lunch menu is better, though my wife tried a sandwich at the downtown Boise location and she said it was mediocre at best. Don't waste your time or your money at this place. read more

Extremely inefficient. 3 people got the wrong order while I was waiting for my food because of this system. Then, when I went to pay, no "have a nice day", nothing. We have a winner in the great bagel search. Fast efficient. People moving in and out of the business with the speed of an Asian food court. About 15 kinds of bagels, but unfortunately, no egg bagel (have to go to Goldstein's for those). Unlike Goldstein's and Good Times, Sarah's has: 1. Fast and efficient service, no lines backing up the open spaces 2. Delivery drivers' and phone in orders completed well ahead of the person's arrival 3. ELIMINATED the silly banter like faked compliments about your clothes or your hair - instead Sarah's focus is on speed in getting the quality product to the customer 4. Family as staff which delivers the product at the lowest cost to the consumer 5. Lox, cream cheese, onion, tomato bagel for under $8.25 WITH tax as opposed to nearly $15 for the same at those two places 6. An inviting dining room with padded chairs, no unstable, pedestal tables, easily cleaned table tops, instead of the faux-industrial warehouse echo chamber of those other two 7. A welcoming family ambiance instead of the cold, heartless, cramped spaces where high tops and cheap countertops allow for overcrowding. I spent about 30 minutes watching two servers moving with purpose and efficiency calling out orders for a huge number of people and still no lines backing up. It was a Saturday morning so there was a steady stream of guys and ladies mostly suffering from "bed heads" in mismatched clothes or pajamas rapidly passing thru with their orders. This isn't the clientele of preening Gen X and Gen Z desperately wanting to be noticed in the stylish clothes their parents pay for. I did notice that a number of customers also had a box of donuts from a place in the same strip mall. Convenient. When leaving I ordered a large espresso and once again, none of the worthless banter about what I wanted floating or not floating in it or whether I wanted a top to it or whether I wanted a sleeve, or, or, or, or. The polite server went to the machine and rapidly performed the necessary tasks common to espresso machines and served me a DELICIOUS huge cup with a cover and a sleeve for $2 less than the local drive-thru place. They have a staggering variety of breakfast and lunch sandwiches, all at great prices - more than double the choices found at any other Treasure Valley bagel place. I witnessed fresh hot bagels being loaded into their respective bins as the 3rd member of the crew (clearly a senior) was baking up a storm in the back kitchen. Oh yes, you can actually see your bagel, up close, unlike all the other bagel shops, one of which keeps them somewhere else out of the customer's view. See the pic of the prep area and notice the glassed-in bins off to the left. It is not surprising that Sarah's is in multiple cities in the region. They have an unmatched and winning combination of variety, efficiency, quality and cost. Delicious bagel and cream cheese. Asiago + herb and a Salt bagel + jalapeño. Flavorful and fresh. Coffee was good too. Reasonable prices.

Can't leave a review except based on first impressions. It's a small place and sort of dark. There were plenty of people sitting and standing (waiting for orders) but it seemed to be some what of a CF (like where does the line start). They have lots to offer from the looks of it just couldn't get to the counter. I think it was about 0930 on 9/13. read more

They have lots of different bagels and toppings. I keep going in for a bagel and cream cheese and have ended up with a yummy sandwich each tim e. I recommend! I placed an order for two supreme lox, New York bagels with extra cream cheese and extra lox which I was charged for. I got my bagels. There was barely any cream cheese on the bagels. They were so dry. There were no capers nor did I get the extra lox and what I did get barely covered the bagels, I have ordered from here before and it's always a mess when I order. it's really unfortunate because they used to be so good read more
