    Celebration Cake - delicious!
    Lorie C.

I ordered 2 cakes from here recently. The first one was a 6 inch celebration cake - vanilla cake with butter cream frosting. I thought the butter cream frosting might be too sweet or heavy butter tasting but no they have a good ratio giving a light creamy frosting. They have a number of different options to offer on how you want to decorate the top. The second cake I ordered was a 6 inch raspberry torte 3 layers of vanilla cake with raspberry purée and then frosted with their signature butter cream frosting. It was delicious and worth the extra cost to get a flavored torte although the celebration cake was delicious too! Helpful, friendly service. The only thing I would consider is the cost. It is a bit more expensive than other bakeries for cakes. But if you're looking for a special occasion delicious cake I would definitely recommend!

My siblings seem to have been bitten by the Bakery Bug(TM) this weekend. My sister had been expressing an interest in Fox & Hounds Pastry Den for the past week. I've been a little under the weather, but managing to get around, so we were off to the races. The place has a warm, quaint vibe that makes me want to have a cup of hot chocolate here next time. I immediately notice and am pulled toward the coconut macaroons. They are like magnets to me. Sister chose a gingerbread man, fudge brownie, and cinnamon roll. We tried the coconut macaroons first. (Not to be confused with macarons.) I hate to admit it, but I'm a coconut macaroon snob. It had a little too much of a cherry liqueur type flavor for my liking. After that we pulled the gingerbread man apart. He was almost too cute to eat. Flavor was ok. The fudge brownie was a bit too dense for me. The last thing we tried was the cinnamon roll. If a croissant and a cinnamon roll got married and had a baby, this would be it. To my surprise, out of everything we tried, it was my favorite. Apparently other reviewers think highly of the cakes, so I plan to return and update my review someday.

This place is located in the corner of a small shopping plaza. It's hard to see from outside except for the store sign. Glad I came here. Very tastefully decorated inside. They serve Starbucks coffee. I had pike place with liquid hazelnut flavor I had a White Chocolate Raspberry Scone. Had some moisture and tasted really good. Some scones are very dry but this was just right. Not too sweet. They have a variety of pastries. Would come back again to try the others.

Wedding cake emergency--Fox and Hound pulled off a miracle! Medical emergency required a family member to pull up his wedding before undergoing surgery. Acting fast, the cake order was taken at 11 am and the wedding cake was picked up at 4 pm. Delicious, beautiful, and perfect. Thankful to Fox and Hound for pulling off a miracle!!

I want to thank the lovely ladies at Fox and Hounds for the beautiful birthday cake and gender reveal cupcakes I ordered. I really was expecting just a simple cake and cupcakes but they really made my desserts stand out. Not to mention they tasted great too :)

My favorite pastry in the area. They've been around for a long time. They used to locate on Woodward Ave in Birmingham. I thought I lost them when they torn down the whole building. Thank God for internet. I missed their chocolate cookies and all the cup cakes. Very delicious!

This is my go to cake shop. It's a small shop and with the pandemic they don't have a ton of foot traffic. If you want to grab something sweet, call ahead. They will make you just about anything delicious! The cakes are very rich and always a big hit! This is my daughter's birthday cake.

The wife and I came here after during for our anniversary. It was the nearest shop and open. We walked in and the place had a lot of goodies. We wanted a cake and we ended up getting what was in the case. It was amazing and the owner even decorated it a little. Great food and wonderful customer service! I will for sure be back!

There are not enough positive words to say about this place. Ever since my local bakery went out of business, it was very hard finding a place that would level up to that taste of real butter cream. After taste testing 10+ of the so called best bakeries in Michigan, this was the only place that compared. They don't use shortening, only real butter which only 1% of bakeries actually do. Other bakeries will lie and say they don't, but let your taste buds be the deciding factor. This place is the real deal, and even though it's not good for our waistlines, my family can't get enough of their cakes. We love your bakery Monica!

Received an AMAZING cake for my daughter's 3rd birthday party. I gave them a pretty obscure character, and they researched it and made an absolutely awesome cake based on it. And it was delicious! We received so many compliments on how good it was. The price was very reasonable, and the customer service was top-notch.

The ube is my favorite and the flavor blows me away every time. The cotton cakes are so light and fluffy. We got a cotton candy frappe and a cookies and cream frappe to go with the cotton cakes and those were a bit disappointing. They weren't really blended well and tasted like a melted vanilla ice cream with a hint of the flavor. Not frozen at all. They looked pretty though. Side note to mention that the bathroom door button lock had fallen off and the employee helped me find it and put it back on but they are aware it needs to be fixed. Ordered a cookie butter latte, a build my own small cotton cheesecake with half Nutella and half caramel and some Biscoff topping. $22.25 The small cheesecake looks so fluffy. The decorated cake is $9.50 The cookie butter was $8 It's light and airy. Don't eat the wax paper at the bottom of the cake. The Biscoff gives it a nice bite of crunch. Mixing the Nutella and the Biscoff sauce (didn't end up getting the ordered caramel sauce once it was packed. I actually prefer the toppings more than the cake itself. The cheesecake tastes eggy. Service is good. Glad we tried the fluffy cheesecake. Not sure would be back for the cake. My husband said the butter coffee is average. The green tea is the Rishi, which isn't string at all.

I am so excited that there will soon be a location on the west side of the state (on 28th Street). I will not have to go far to have delicious pastries and great coffee. This time around, I tried the macarons and coffee. I picked 6 different flavors and each one was so perfect. They were the perfect amount of soft and chewy. The service this time was still fast. However, unlike last time, the cashier was not as friendly. Nothing to deduct a star over. But they seemed like they were having an off day. I guess everyone is entitled to one of those days. My favorite is still the ube cloud donut -- perfectly sweet, light, and satisfying without being overly rich. Most of the pastries are excellent and have that balanced flavor that keeps you wanting to try more. The honey lavender macchiato was also smooth and really well made. I also love the setup -- you grab a tray and tongs when you walk in, pick whichever pastries catch your eye, then bring them up to the register. There's plenty of seating space to gather with friends or hang out for a while. It also makes a great spot for birthday gift drop-offs or bringing someone a sweet treat

It takes the place of the old La Choux location and opened only three weeks ago, making it the newest Asian bakery in Metro Detroit. We actually learned about the place through Too Good To Go and decided to give it a try - we were so impressed with the bakery that we went back inside right afterwards to pick up another pastry. Since this was only 15 minutes before close they were out of most items, but everything that remained still looked delicious. In total we got (including in our TGTG bag): Matcha Palmier Carre ($4.75) - This pastry is intriguing as it's baked in a rectangle and not in the normal palm heart shape. If you like dissecting pastries layer by layer, then this is for you! It's easy to take apart each crisp diaphanous layer with distinct crystals of sugar baked on top. While the palmier is not baked as tooth-shatteringly hard as other places, the variety of textures present is still very good. One side of the pastry is dipped in a white chocolate-matcha mixture. It's sweet and grassy, which plays well with the rest of the pastry, making it well balanced in sweetness. Overall, this palmier is baked well and tastes great. (4/5) Cream Soboro ($3.75) - This is a fluffy bun, with a top covered with a bumpy super fragrant peanutty topping. I don't think I've ever have a soboro with such fragrant flavor and crispness. It's cut in half with cream sandwiched inside. The cream is soft and not too sweet, with a smooth texture. Overall a great soboro. (5/5) Salted Butter ($3.00) - This has a vague resemblance to a croissant as it seems to consist of a flat dough rolled up, but the texture inside is nothing like a croissant. It's nice and chewy and more like a dense bread. Inside is a little void that goes down the entire length of the interior, likely from a butter filling that melted into the surrounding bread dough. The bread is very fragrant with the taste of butter and is a bit salty, from both the salted butter in the interior and a sprinkling of pretzel salt on the top. I didn't expect to like this pastry but after eating it, I found it to be one of my favorites. (5/5) Chocolate Canele ($3.50) - I haven't had good experiences with canele in the past so I usually swear off of them, but I found this one to be really good. This pastry has a deep chocolate flavor in both the cocoa that is incorporated in the batter, and also a chocolate ganache that is piped in the center divot on top. The top is then dusted with cocoa powder. This all contributes to a deep chocolate flavor. The exterior has a firm skin that adds great texture as you bite into it, while the interior is soft, moist, toothsome, and custard-like. The crumb looks good, with small air pockets interspersed throughout, not too wet and not too dry. (5/5) Vanilla Canele ($3.30) - The exterior of this canele seems to be a bit overbaked. it's to the point of being crunchy and has a bit of the acrid taste like it's on the cusp of being burnt. The interior still has the great texture as with the chocolate, but this time vanilla flavor. The interior isn't perfectly risen - it kind of congeals into a mass instead of having distinct pockets of air. It still tastes good, but the chocolate is superior. (4/5) Black Sesame Financier ($3.00) - If you like heavy black sesame flavor, this pastry is for you. The sesame flavor really explodes in your mouth, to the point where you can't tell if there's any other supporting flavors in this dish. There's a sweet black sesame icing on top, adding again to the sesame flavor. The bake is nice, with a crusty exterior and interior with a denser cake texture. The interior is a little bit dry but I had no issue with it. Think of it as somewhat of a dense pound cake. (4/5) Chocolate Financier ($3.00) - Similar to the above in texture, but with a great chocolate flavor in every bite. Yum! (5/5) Bread Me really does have some fantastic baked goods, way better than Tous Les Jours down the street. This will be a regular stop for me whenever I'm in Troy. I highly recommend stopping by and supporting this new business! Bathrooms - One unisex room. Overall rating of the food this visit: 4.57/5
