We ordered for takeout. I went to pickup and there was one couple in the restaurant (peak dinner hour). It looked like one person was working there but the owner came out in a few minutes to ring me up and get my food. He looked and behaved completely "out of it". He was trying to read the list of what we'd ordered and was really struggling to focus. I hope he is okay. When we got the food home we realized that the food was terrible. My wife had ordered sushi and the fish looked discolored and smelled bad. My wife just threw it in the trash. I had ordered fried rice and it had a terrible strong sour flavor. It was unlike anything I have ever put in my mouth. Awful. I'd also ordered a spring roll. The shrimp was completely raw. I don't like shrimp to be overcooked, but this was literally raw. We had a miso soup that was acceptable but everything else went to the trash. I am so disappointed in Hai's. So sad.

The rice was a little dry, so the curry sauce helped out there. The curry had just a bit of spice to it and really brought some nice flavor to the dish. The lemonade was fine. I don't think it was worth the price, but it was a lot better than typical restaurant lemonade. For dessert, I ordered the matcha tiramisu. My only complaint is it was too small! Very good, and the matcha powder kept the bitter spirit of the cocoa dusting that's typical of the dish but with a new twist. I hope they get busier, because I'd hate to seem them close.
