I normally don't Yelp chain restaurants, but Fox's left me no choice. My mom and I ordered a pizza and a sandwich on a Friday evening, the lady asked was it for delivery or pickup. I said delivery, she stated it would be there in about 30 minutes. 30 minutes, 40 minutes, 45 minutes later no food. My mom calls Fox's. The lady at Fox's states "We had no address on file for you so we made the order a pick up." We have been ordering from Fox's for a million years, we have receipts to back up these claims. Why would you make the order a pickup instead of calling the number back and getting the address? Don't worry, you just lost a loyal customer ME. I would give them zero stars if I could. Picked up a Cobb salad with spoiled avocado. Called and informed them, only to be told it was oxidation. Umm, I know the difference between spoiled and oxidated avocado. Also pissed about using my time and gas to return it, only to get a refund. What about my time and the fact that you messed up?!!! My girlfriend and I went for pizza at Fox's, because I raved about the chicken, spinach and mushroom pizza I had previously with my boyfriend. We live in the area, so we've had Fox's on numerous occasions. Long story short, my girlfriend asked for certain toppings, but they were not on the pizza when it was brought to our table. The waitress took the pizza back in the kitchen and when the new pizza was brought out, it was extremely overcooked (see photo) and dried out. I have never in all of my 40+ years of eating pizza been delivered an overcooked pizza pie, with the cheese practically burnt. THIS IS FOR FOX'S ORLAND PARK -- If you like to pay too much for not a lot of food, this is your place. Don't expect rolls with a dinner, unless you'd like a breadstick for $1.79. Also don't expect either a soup or salad to go with said dinner, or any type of substitutes for sides. There is one vegetable option (string beans on the day I was there), take it or leave it. A cup (not bowl) was $8 and a side salad was $9. A cup of coffee is $4.25. In the end, it was a $67 lunch (including $10 tip) for 2 coffees, a soup and salad for my mom (plus a bread stick) and a perch plate for myself (the string beans were not eaten). The menu said I'd get mashed potatoes but a baked potato appeared instead. Somehow the place was crowded with social seniors, which made the 2 servers very busy. Sadly, although we're big fans of Fox's in Oak Lawn, we won't be returning to Fox's Orland Park. It's just not worth it! read more

They have the cheapest delivery charge and the pizza is good. However, my July order was not up to par. I ordered a pizza with ground beef, green peppers and onion. It arrived in a timely manner as always. My friend and I started eating the pizza and I could tell something was off. My friend said the same thing. But we kept eating. Finally, I couldn't take it anymore. I decided to just eat the vegetables but not the meat. So I peeled back the toppings and what did I see - Italian beef. The building itself is pretty nice. There is a bar and a bunch of booths inside and the waitress we had was very friendly (Mary). I ordered the Irish nachos and they were really good. A half order of these is more than enough for a meal even for probably two people. Then I ordered the famous Reubin which was also massive and had a good taste. Some of my favorite thin crust on the south side. Their pizza is distinct, you know its foxes pizza even if you're blindfolded. I also love their baked pastas, veal parm, and Irish nachos appetizer. My dad swears by their ribs too. I wish they didn't stop selling spaghetti buckets to go, those were great in a pinch. And I wish the parking situation wasn't such a mindf*ck sometimes but its really not a big deal. The employee who was at the register apologized, and said for the wait he would put in for a credit for our next order. I called in today to place an order, no credit on our account. The women who answered phone told me nothing was there, she didn't care, because she asked if I wanted to place an order. She didn't apologize, instead states sometimes things run late. I replied, um 45 minutes late? How is that acceptable? She then replies, "do you want to place an order or what". Seriously? We have been huge supporters of our local restaurants. Do not try the veggie pizza...looks phenomenal but tastes absolutely disgusting. Never thought I would say "watered down pizza" but that's exactly what it was. The veges taste like when they absorb a ton of water and then u place it on the pizza with hardly any sauce and then together you get a terrible pizza. When communicating politely my issue with the pizza, there was no manager onsite so I was told there was nothing they could do without a manager approval. My thoughts on great customer service is ask if there is something else I would like to eat which I would of gladly done. Been going here since I was kid, did they change management? First off worst service I've ever had here. Showed up to pick food up, 10 minutes after the time they told me. Pizza was ready but not the soup and salad, when I asked questions the young manager got snotty with me and very condescending. She replied that's the restaurant business. Ahhh....when my good friend and colleague drove us all the way here for dinner from East Chicago, IN I was wondering....why?! It's a good 45 minutes from where we were staying. I'm glad he did. Apparently, he use to live around the corner from this Pizza joint back in the 90's....and he wanted to share Fox's Pizza goodness with us. After looking at the menu, we decided to order a Family Size (17") Fox's Special Pizza (Sausage, Mushrooms, Green Peppers & Onions, $26.99) well done and an order of 18 Chicken Wings ($14.99). Were we hungry? Hell ya! The place was packed, so we expected to be waiting a while. Nope, we were served our food pretty quickly. I couldn't wait to dig into the Pizza, so I went at it first. It's a Chicago Thin Crust style Pizza....not the huge thick crust stuff that will fill you up after one slice. The Pizza was delicious! I like my Pizza well done if given the choice and they do it just right. The proportion of toppings was perfect. Next I tried the Wings. They were pretty good.....not the best I've had, but above average. We washed it down with some Beer. I had an Amstel Light and my colleagues had Guinness! How they could drink Guinness with all of this food is beside me.....Guinness is like a liquid meal to me. Overall, it was a great dining experience. I'm glad my friend drove us out here. Will I return? Not sure I could find it again, but would love to. read more

It's been a week, I took the time to message the business on their contact us link from their website, either they don't care to check it, or they just don't care to respond. I suggest they take down the contact us button. Here is what I sent them: "We just got home from having a meal there and because we were tired we didn't look at the bill precisely. Can you tell me the total for, 1 house salad, two iced teas, a large pizza with sausage and mushrooms. We asked for the pizza to not be overloaded with the toppings, I suggested 75%, she said she'd explain it to them. It came back looking as if it had more than what a normal pizza would. She even agreed and did see that we weren't thrilled with it. We then said we'd try it, I figured she'd be back, a good 10 minutes went by, I had to get up and find her. When we said it really wasn't enjoyable, her reply was "I'll see what I can do" and then "do you want another" I said, well yes, because I've tried removing the sausage and all I have left is crust and a little sauce. So she did finally take it and had it remade, this time it took longer and she didn't even get back to us as she did the first time that it was coming up. We were really anxious to leave being it was late and we waited to find her, and waited for a replacement pizza. We asked for a box and the check, several minutes go by and she brings the box, and then says I'll be back in a few with the check. So when we got it I just looked at the total, included the tip and wanted to get out ASAP. We travel up to you place from Bronzeville because we like the pizza, but tonight was a big let down. I used to be a server, my first instinct would have been to offer to remake the pizza when I saw how disappointed my guests were. My second instinct would have been to check back in a few minutes to see if it was working out if the people tried to work with it." **** I do have a picture posted, that one was from a previous visit when we didn't ask to have less sausage on it, you'll see that that one has plenty great for a meat lover. We like a little less and it's why we asked for it to be made that way on a return visit, odd that that one had to have more on it. Irish pizza? Please. It's greasy and floppy and gross. There are plenty of better pizza places in the area. The non-pizza food items are okay, but the service can be terrible at times. For example, on one visit, I was dining with my aunt and uncle (both Irish Chicago cops). They asked for water, so the waitress brought over a pitcher and literally dropped it on the table. It nearly tipped over and water splashed everywhere. She turned around and walked away without a word. My uncle politely told the manager that the waitress probably should've filled our glasses instead of splashing water all over the table. This place was a long-time favorite of my father-in-law while he grew up in the area. After hearing about it for quite some time, we visited for the famous thin-crust pizza. I can honestly say it's been my favorite thin-crust pizza to date. The mushrooms were extremely fresh. I did not care for the sausage that everyone else had, but sausage is not really my thing anyway. I could not stop eating! I continued to think about Fox's long after our visit. I only wish they were closer to us. I would be willing to make the trip back out to Beverly for Fox's. read more

Service was so so... Had to ask where my beer order was even though she was convinced someone had sprite and we were missing a lemonade (we we not). Buffalo chicken sandwich was fairly tasty - fries not so much (some tasted freezer burned). Blue cheese burger was OK, just nothing we would go out of my way to order again. Chopped salad was huge and a bit warm, but tasted fine. Pizza was insanely greasy, although the sausage had a nice amount of caraway seeds. Unfortunately the crust was soggy, Place overall was not very clean and nothing the 15 of us would go out out of our way to come back to. Sometimes it's not all about the food. Over three years, sucking down slices of Fox's super-thin pizza with pop-up sausage and mushroom that tasted darn good to me. We'd order the puppy and take the 1/2 hour or so to make the round trip to 99th for the hot product inside a grease-soaked paper cover. Pretty good alternative to the not-universally loved deep dish pie Chi is known for best. One MAJOR problem: They don't deliver. Not that they don't deliver at all, just not to my house...or my neighborhood. For years, I guess I ignored the obvious. Restaurant redlining. I had never been here before but was in the area to see my friends sing in the Chicago Gay Men's Chorus at the Beverly Arts Center. The waffle fries are so good and so was my sloppy meatball sandwich. The best part though? Wendy. Our server was so awesome we felt like we all had known her for years. She was probably the most attentive server I've experienced and was not intrusive. Although they're known for pizza, Fox's feels very much like a diner when you're not carrying out. It's definitely a neighborhood joint. This is the kind of place you may have hung out at in high school when you weren't going to the movies or drinking wine coolers and Natty Light in Erin Gallagher's basement. I've always found Fox's pizza to be underwhelming. You could do better at Roseangela's or much better at Vito & Nick's. The rest of the menu is on roughly the same level. But they do get a nod for being one of the few non-chain restaurants open later in the evening. read more

We stopped in here at about 7PM, after a full day of drinking during the Southside St. Patty's Day Parade. I had previously been here 2 or 3 times. The pizza is pretty mediocre - thin and greasy. Much better thin crust to be found elsewhere on the southside. I love their tomato bread, though I think quality has gone down since the first time I came here. I rarely leave reviews, especially poor reviews. If I were to rate my experience on service alone I would rate in 5 stars. Our server Ken was excellent, service is important but the quality of the food served is most important. The pizza served tonight is probably the most flavorless pizza I have ever had. We ordered a 17 inch chicken pizza with chicken, bell peppers and spinach. Everything was bland. The sauce tasted like tomato paste mixed with water and the chicken topping had absolutely no flavor. If I'm being honest a frozen pizza from the supermarket is better than what we had tonight! We expressed our disappointment with the manager Savannah. Savannah initially informed us she would be able to take $5 off the bill, which we declined. She offered to call her GM, after speaking with her GM Savannah returned with an offer of 10% off the bill. At this point we were over the experience and evening. we accepted the 10% off, paid our bill, thanked our server and left. I have been eating Pizza from Fox's in Oak Lawn for over 20 years and have NEVER been disappointed.
