I went to Foxtail for one of their seasonal coffees and unfortunately they were out of the ingredients to make it. I opted for a different coffee and waited what seemed like far too long in the drive thru once I placed my order. The drink I received was very good and I hope my drive thru wait time experience was not the norm. I will go back another day and try again for the seasonal coffee! read more

I don't have a lot of complaints about this Foxtail Coffee location, but I don't really have anything that stands out either. I ordered a Cortado and it seemed slightly smaller than the average, but nothing out of the ordinary. The price was pretty standard, maybe a little bit more than it should have been, but nothing that will make a huge difference from one shop to the next. The Cortado itself was very pretty good. Nice and rich and bitter just how I like it. Not too burnt as well, which is my usual complaint with these drinks. Not a "stand-out" item here, but they still got the job done. The place itself has a nice earthy ambience, like most other Foxtail coffee shops. The area is a little on the small side, but it works as long as it's not crazy busy. Outlet access is okay but you may have to put some wires across the walkway here and there. The parking is great though, lots of open spots when I went there. Overall, pretty good for a less busy spot. I'll be keeping my same rating system in Orlando, and will be rewarding Foxtail Coffee on SODO a 7/10 Freys. It's good enough, but nothing too spectacular. This is the worst coffee shop I had ever been to. The latte tastes like pure milk. I got a breakfast sandwich. Looks like they poured queso into the bottom of a cardboard box and tossed the ingredients in from across the kitchen and shook it for good measure. Inedible. read more

Interior design of the place was pleasing to the eye but that's about it. Since this is a drive through, the workers were busy multitasking between the counter and the window. Pricing: Matcha latte reg $5 Cappuccino $4.83 Food $6.27/ea The matcha latte was pretty decent with oat milk. It did not taste grainy at all. The powder was nicely blended into the milk and the ratio was good and did not taste overwhelmingly matcha flavor. The cappuccino was pretty disappointing since typically places still do some type of latte art even in to go cups but there was not. The coffee itself was not a good brew either and did not taste good. It tasted acidic and watered down. Food items were hot but definitely not fresh. Nonetheless they did the taste of filling up an empty stomach. Personally, I would not come here again since it didn't really meet my expectations of a cafe except that the interior looked appealing. read more

I stopped in to Foxtail this morning on my way to run errands. This particular location is convenient since it has a drive thru, but you're still able to go inside and order if you're not in a hurry! The atmosphere gives off very typical coffee shop vibes, and it's very clean and organized inside! There's plenty of seating inside, as well as outdoor seating if you're enjoying the weather or with your dog. I was able to walk right up to the counter and order my iced coffee and croissant (warmed). The cashier was very friendly and quick to get my order out to me. While I was waiting I noticed that they had some merchandise up front to purchase kind of like how Starbucks has theirs set up. Coffee can get pricey depending on the add ons, but my order was pretty affordable in comparison to my similar orders at other establishments. I look forward to adding Foxtail to one of my regular coffee spots, especially now that there's so many popping up around the Orlando area! read more

Went to foxtail for the first time today... ended up going through the drive thru. Service was super quick and efficient, although I was there at 7:15am so no morning rush yet. The staff was very nice. For breakfast I got the ham egg and cheese croissant and it was so good. I am a croissant lover and this was huge and flakey perfection! Coffee snob here! First time in Orlando and I got off the plane with a raging caffeine headache. Foxtail is about 25 mins from the airport. They roast their own coffee so that's a major plus for me. Yay!! Foxtail drive-through!! I fell in love with this brand of coffee at their Curry Ford location and when this one opened in the old Starbucks just north of Michigan on Orange Ave, my heart SAILED!! They have the best lattes, I prefer the oatmilk and lavender- but honestly anything I've ever ordered has been amazing! Can we talk service? Sal or Salvador, working the drive-thru window is a total charmer! He was bubbly and helpful and has beautiful eyes that smile at his customers! Lots of tables and seats to work at. Only a few spots along the wall for power outlets though. I like that they have an employee recommended special menu for their drinks that you can choose from along side their normal selection. I typically get a flavored cold brew. If you're there over lunch, they do offer a small selection of sandwiches they can heat up for you which aren't too bad. I do think it's a little over priced and could be slightly cheaper but I still enjoy the coffee, atmosphere and location. Decent parking lot in back. read more

I came in on a Saturday afternoon, and it was so quiet. I intended to come in to study for a bit while I had some time between 2 events. I have only been to one other Foxtail once, so I'm not entirely familiar with the menu. Still, I made it known to the barista that I was interested in a 12-16 ounce hot drink that tasted like a cortado with milk. I was looking for something a bit stronger than a typical Cafe-con-Leche. So he suggested 2-3 espresso shots with milk and their old recipe of 1.5 spoonfuls of sugar. I did exactly as he told me to do, and it was AMAZING! Starbucks has been replaced with Foxtail. They can keep their overpriced drinks that genuinely do not taste as they are supposed to. read more

I came here for a work meeting. Service was obscenely slow here when I came - this was in August 2021, so not sure if it was related to hiring issues. Some customers and I stood at the counter waiting and looking around for someone to greet us, it took about 10 minutes for us to be spoken to - not good. It was time for my 400pm iced coffee break and I wanted to stay away from the mermaid. We found this coffee house nearby as we were visiting the Greenwood cemetery and the Pulse nightclub. I have been working on frequenting coffee shops other than Starbucks. Today I went to Foxtail in SODO. Their shop is super cute, very cozy and inviting ambiance. There is ample indoor seating, perfect for getting some work done or meeting a friend for coffee (post-Covid person. They also had some outdoor seating. I ordered the large (24 oz) nitro cold brew with milk for $6. I normally go to Starbucks for their nitro cold brew with sweet cream (16 oz) for $5.28. The Foxtail nitro cold brew beats Starbucks out of the water!!! The fact I can order a large for a few cents more is a huge win. I also ordered the chocolate chip cookie pack for my kids, very cute packaging and nice that they're in a sealed baggie instead of a loose baggie. When juggling the coffee and kiddos, I didn't have to worry about their cookies accidentally falling out. Big kudos to this Foxtail location having a drive thru! I haven't come across many local coffee shops with drive thrus and this was a pleasant surprise. It totally makes sense where they're located too. We didn't use it today but super convenient and definitely will use in the future when we come back. read more

Driving by one day, and I could have sworn this was the old Starbuck's Coffee. So this morning, I open the coffee canister to load up the coffee maker, and it appears the coffee is getting low. Being in the area later this afternoon, I decided to stop in and buy some coffee to take home. And yes, it is the old Starbuck's. I have been to Foxtail Coffee before, but not this location. This location in SODO is nice. Windows all around to let the natural light in and watch the world go by. And the natural wood interior makes the dining area an inviting place to do that. There are plenty of neat coffee mugs and other merchandise for sale. I have plenty of coffee mugs, but I did see a mug my niece would love. I purchased a twelve ounce bag of the Columbia coffee ($16) and had them grind the coffee for a drip coffee maker. Love that aroma of freshly ground coffee beans! A Farmhouse blend aroused my curiosity. I will have to buy that on my next visit. The service is friendly and helpful, and the dining area/counter area is kept clean. And there is a drive thru window to get you coffee on the go. Along with the coffees and other drinks for sale, there are pastries and breakfast sandwiches available. Having worked in the area, I would most likely come here often. But being retired, I am not in the area like I used to be. But if my morning coffee is a good brew, then I will most likely return when that canister for coffee should run low. read more

My wife and i traveled to the FOXTAIL on south orange @ SODO on november 15th 2021 around 615pm. Just two patrons sitting in the store. To preface my review, my wife and i told the counter person that whatever price he was going to charged us would be fine. We understood because not all locations speak the same coffee language or menus. IT WENT DOWNHILL FROM THERE !!!!!!!! I asked for 4 shots of espresso in a short cup with 4 agave and a side or splash of half $ half. He immediately and arrogantly told me that he was not allowed, that it had to be in a demitasse cup. I replied, since a demitasse cup will not fit 4 shots how was he going to do that ?? He rolled his eyes and told me that he would "LET IT GO" this time. My wife ordered her large MACHA with similar pushback. I went to the bathroom and when i emerged to sit with my wife i opened my cup to my surprise ("Ha Ha Ha") to find that such a simple drink was screwed up. No agave, no half & half. Went to the counter, showed my cup to the store manager and told him that after much discussion with the counter person it was not what it ordered. He was visibly angered like i was trying to get something for free. He looked at the counter person and they both rolled their eyes.
