A great place to eat when you want good food fast. Pros: Fresh food, fair prices, friendly atmosphere, and plenty of parking. First time here. My husband had the fried haddock french fries and slaw for $5.95 and it was wonderful he said. I had a tuna patty melt with coleslaw for the same price and it was wonderful. Pretty decent selection of standard bar food done fairly well. They serve breakfast on the weekend, which we tried on New Year's Day. My wife had a chorizo and avocado omelette and I had potato pancakes with scrambled eggs. Both were decent. I think their afternoon/evening menu is a better option- lots to choose from. Have not been to Madeira Beach in several years. We were excited to be back and go to Foxy's for dinner! On Saturday night, crowd was good. Our food was wonderful. Great hometown restaurant with very reasonable prices. Breakfast was so good we came back the next day for lunch. Everything from the waffles and french toast to the grouper sandwich and roast beef sandwich was outstanding. Small place but fast and friendly service. Also very close to the beach and other hotels. It was my father in-laws 89th birthday. His wife is in hospice care and we are stranded in Dallas, unable to visit because of COVID-19. I tried to order a birthday dinner celebration for my father in-law. Owner refused to take my credit card over the phone. It is outrageous to not have online ordering in this modern world and during a pandemic where the elderly are homebound and could use a warm meal and a bit of happiness. SHAME ON YOU FOXY's. You are more worried about getting stiffed over a slice of meatloaf than helping out two elderly people who need compassion and feel they are not alone. We will order down the street at your competitors for now on, and when we do get to come back to Treasure Island, your breakfast will be off our list. read more

This place was recommended to us by a local. The staff seemed very harried, confused, and chaotic. The table service was slow. The order was delivered incorrectly, but I did not want to risk notifying the staff...if you could even get someone to stop long enough. The food was edible, but not great. I recommend the owner/management/staff take a field trip over to The Frog Pong in St Pete's to learn from the pro's. That place had way more action and had their system down and the food was on point. I would like to see them succeed. They've got a prime spot! read more

I have been going there for 20 years. Last week I ordered a pizza for pickup. I dropped by to pick it up and the server asked my name. I told her my name and she said the bill came to 12.24. I gave her $13.00 and she handed me my pizza and said thanks. I stood there looking at her and she said "Oh, do you want your change"? I replied "Yes" She tossed her pad on the bar with an attitude and told me very rudely "Don't spend it all in one place" I was appalled. I called the manager the next day and the manager told me that the server was just kidding. (Not the way it came over to me). The server also said I used a profanity word toward her which was a total lie. I will never visit this restaurant again. Nice way to treat your locals !! read more

Worst service ever! We had the "pleasure" of having the owner wait on us. He seemed annoyed that we wanted to know what they had on tap and making him run through it after we asked for a drink menu first. My sister and I order the island shrimp. But instead we got chicken. The owner quickly had our replacements out but instead of sautéed shrimp as the menu stated we got a shrimp patty as the in what they use for their shrimp burger. It actually wasn't bad and I'm sure the shrimp burger is pretty good. It just wasn't what the menu said (sautéed shrimps) or what we wanted. When asked, the owner just said that that is all they have a shrimp patty or the fried shrimp. My sister didn't want it so he took it away and took it off the bill. I am sure there are good items on the menu as the grouper sandwich was decent and another diner said the chopped steak was good. This maybe a bad example of this place but thought it was worth the warning. read more

First time we came in was during the week. We sat at the counter and with Kathy (I think) we had a good breakfast and great time. It was a good visit. Today, we drove the eight miles from our house and it was definitely not worth passing all of the other breakfast places along the way. 1. Sat again at the counter. No less than five servers milling around and talking to each other. After about five minutes, the server waiting the tables behind us asked if one of the employees would wait on us. Five blank stares before one walked over. 2. It's really unfortunate that the servers don't wear name tags. The one that came over was pleasant enough although she never offered refills on coffee or asked about the food. Didn't interface with us until the check came. 3. The check was $15.27 and we paid with $20. We were given $4 in change and she walked away. Had to get her attention to ask about the $0.73. She stated no less than three times, "your check was $20 and I gave you your $4 change." Finally, when we specially asked about the $0.73 she said "oh, most people don't want the coins....." Reached in her pocket, jingled the money and said She didn't have enough. Then after a dramatic sigh, asked another server if she had change for a $1. Hel-lo?!? Is this really condoned by the management? 4. My husband actually gave her a generous tip although I wouldn't have done so. But he also said this is the LAST TIME HE WILL EVER GO THERE. 5. This is the very first time I give this low of a rating. Let's start with walking into this restaurant. I didn't get any greeting and finally when I grabbed a waitress attention I told her there was just two of us. She looked around and said there would be a wait, so I told her that's fine we want to sit outside (which was empty) so we sat there. Then we noticed on the menu that it said no substitutes or changes. My husband is allergic to avocado so we asked for a tex mex omelet with no avocado and they said absolutely no changes!!! Even though he's allergic! So at this point I am already ticked off but want to give them the benefit of the doubt and wait for our food and see if it was good. I order the eggs Benedict with home fries, #1 it was just very bland and not very good. #2 they gave me a few pieces of home fries which was fine since I didn't like it anyways. Foxy's is T.I.'s version of a diner. They have a big menu with lots of offerings. Today we had breakfast. The price was right. I had potato pancakes, wife had the hash. Both came out hot. Good place for breakfast or an inexpensive lunch if you're passing through, although there are a lot of other options if you're looking to really get a good sampling of the food available in the area. It FEELS like a beachside diner, you get the sense that they see a lot of sandy, sunburned hungry people shuffling in, looking for air conditioning and something to cure their dehydration. My first visit, lunch with some friends, I ordered the Beef on Weck (because how often is that on a menu in Florida?) The bun was very good but the meat was pretty low end, lots of fat bits and that hard, cartilage-like stuff that you sometimes get in a bad cut of roast beef. It came with a side of au jus, which helped a bit. For breakfast on the way out of town, our newlywed friends wanted to go back to Foxy's. So we met them there. I ordered a breakfast sandwich with home fries. It was a good sized sandwich with egg, cheese, and thin slices of deli ham on toast. Worth the reasonable price -- I would come back for breakfast, definitely. Skip the orange juice though, it's not that great. Curious, every time someone at our table ordered the breakfast sandwich, the waitress asked how we wanted the egg cooked. I was momentarily confused, trying to picture how a breakfast sandwich would work any way other than the normal, 'scrambled into a patty' style that makes a sandwich possible... Hmmm. read more

Foxys is a great breakfast place. Fast friendly service. Huge portions and good quality ingredients. For $8 I got two eggs homefried corned beef hash and 2 slices of toast and a drink. Massive breakfast. All tastes amazing. I have never eaten there for dinner but they are supposed to have great dinner as well. This is my go to for breakfast. We spotted Foxy's Cafe near our hotel where we were staying and decided to give it a try. We decided to have breakfast here on our last day during our stay and loved the food. We were given a table pretty quickly despite it being a bit busy when we went. The staff was super friendly and our waiter stayed on top of things. It was your typical breakfast type foods, but everything was delicious and very filling. They do open for breakfast, lunch and dinner.We will be coming back here the next time we visit the area!
