Donuts are good, but they come with a lot of attitude... I'm not sure the owner likes working with the public. He was sarcastic to me, not a big deal, but I would think the owner would set the example for the people working there. While I'm waiting on my donuts, the ladies who are also not familiar with the flow of the "donut ordering process" begin getting hard core sarcasm that I would of pushed back on if it were me. Pros: the donuts, presumably while you are here, are definitely better than Dunkin. They offer lattes and they offer alternative milks. Also, if you expect there will be a long line weekends mornings or summer time after 9 am, call ahead and get it to go order and then just go up to the cashier when you get there and that will save you a lot of time. Cons: the donuts seem ok but they pile up with a bunch of gloppy stuff that seems unnecessary if you have a really good quality doughnut. I'm a baker and it doesn't taste like homemade. A cute donut place, but quite pricy and was annoyed with their paying system. We bought a couple of the breakfasts sandwiches n coffee, and came near $20. And the cashier/owner said the tipping screen is optional as showing me, but she's standing right in front and staring me, so it's hard not to tip, but that's not even the annoying part. The tipping option was 15, 20, and 25%. It's not even the restaurant and these are the only choices other than declining the tip while the owner is standing in front of u. So I picked 15%, and was over $3. While if I paid in cash, I normally won't pay $3 tip while picking up the breakfast stuffs. So for anyone wants to try here, I recommend of paying in cash. They make the donuts the right way, fried in oil. Now I don't have to schlep to Brown's to wait in that sun scorched line! My suggestion, get either plain or a Brown's topping. They have honey, cinnamon sugar, powdered sugar and vanilla and chocolate glazes. I first ordered a Rolo which is chocolate chips and caramel glaze. Dumb. I only tasted chocolate chips. So I went back for plain. It was hot and tasty and truly at the Brown's level of awesomeness! The next day I tried the OC Sand (cinnamon sugar and honey) and that was great. I had a bite of my wife's French Toast (cinnamon sugar and maple glaze) and it tasted exactly like a delicious French Toast. Here are the negatives (and they don't cancel out delicious donuts made the right way): They have a million glazes and toppings and there are people who bring their kids there and ask for input into a dozen donuts. Not cool. The children are overloaded and it takes forever to order. My advice to adults with kids: send one adult for a dozen and get simple Brown's flavors. You come back with those and you'll be a hero without taking an obnoxiously long time to order. The dozen and half dozen boxes are cardboard so I assume they are recyclable but if you order a single donut it comes on a Styrofoam plate. Can we get a compostable plate up in here? One other minor complaint: they play Sirius country music a little too loud. One day it was kick-ass country about all the killing we Americans are going to do to you. These donuts are delicious! We went at a good time because we didn't have to wait at all. We did hear the manager saying that an hour before there was a 40 minute wait so it definitely depends on when you go. Their donuts are made fresh to order which is awesome. My favorite was the O.C. Sand donut, I am not crazy for all the extravagant toppings on donuts so this one was perfect. We did also try one with Oreo crumbs and the Peanut Butter Cup and my husband loved those. This is for the 34th and west location: I tried to delete when I saw it was for the other location but it didn't allow me to. So, onto the review....these donuts are very good and freshly made so are warm when you get them! They are extremely sweet and obviously unhealthy but if you have a craving go and try one of their many flavors! Orange, lemon, birthday cake, etc. The location has karaoke and sock hop dance nights a lot of weeks in the summer which is great for kids. It also has ice cream but not served until the afternoon, and I'm not sure the hours for the donuts, they may be breakfast only? Call them if needed. Their orders were filled before mine. Their "card" was called before mine, and the two left with their completed orders before me. Only AFTER the orders of the 2 white gentlemen who had clearly come into the store AFTER me and had placed their orders AFTER me did the girl who was putting together the donuts start working on my order, dipping the donuts in the various glazes and toppings to fill my order. I was there in the store the entire time seated in my chair with my child watching this. In fact, when the second white gentleman came in, another female worker (the one who had been cashiering and had taken my order) who had been milling around picked up a box herself to work on the additional order from the second white gentleman (I assume that this is what is supposed to happen when there are multiple orders to fill). She had not bothered to do anything to facilitate filling my order. Maybe you should retrain your workers. I do not know how else you expected me to interpret what transpired. As for the donuts, my wife liked them, I, my children, and friends did not. Whether you like them depends on how you feel about cake donuts. I am not a fan of cake donuts. The appeal of your place is the large variety of toppings to choose from. I did not like the toppings. It was kind of like having your choice of leftover undesirable Halloween candy.
