I love discovering coffee spots with this kind of atmosphere. We ordered two drinks: the Pistachio Latte and the Honey Cinnamon Latte. Both were excellent--different from the overly sweet drinks you often find at other coffee shops. Here, the sweetness was just right, perfectly balanced to my taste. The presentation of the drinks was impressive as well. We missed out on the baked goods, which were sold out by the time we arrived. Fast and friendly service! They were able to give me suggestions for the coffee and told me the pistachio cream latte is very popular so I wanted to give it a try for my afternoon pick me up! The perfect balance of sweet and salty! The cream is airy and light and delicious. I would 10/10 come back. This place is poppin even at 2pm on a Saturday! Everyone loves Frame and I see why. I'm unsure how this place has such high reviews. The drinks are mediocre at best, space is tiny, staff is not that friendly, and tip requests are ridiculously high. DRINKS (2/5): Got the matcha iced latte and a coffee drink. The coffee drink was good, but it's a bit difficult to mess up on coffee if you just don't burn it. Matcha iced latte was mostly just milk and ice. I don't think I've been to a single Korean opened cafe in the east coast that serves good matcha. it's mostly for pictures. It was real expensive. can't remember the exact price but I remember thinking this must be a luxury item. Unfortunately, you're paying almost $6-8 for milk and ice and a splash of matcha. I didn't even take a picture because it was not good and I tossed it but it was not green. I should have known from the color. AMBIANCE (?/5): Can't say too much about ambiance because there is almost no seating. I think this is mostly a place for people to come in, grab and go. SERVICE (2/5): Not sure what you're asking tips for. You don't do anything outside of your jobs. We wait in line, we look for seats, we clean our own trash. Small coffee shop with a camera and film theme! Interior is almost industrial, with several small tables against the wall, which has a built-in bench for seating. There are also some seating options outside in the parking lot. The menu was somewhat limited, for both food and drink, but my boyfriend and I both enjoyed our drinks! He had a hot chai latte with vanilla and I had the iced Milky Way latte, which is your basic latte but made with half & half instead of milk. It was pretty busy when I went, maybe a bit understaffed, but we were able to receive our drinks in a short amount of time. I have been dying to try Frame's croffle (croissants and waffles are my 2 favorite breakfast treats) and finally made the drive from Herndon on a Sunday AM. Parking was easy with a dedicated lot. I arrived around 10 with the intent to order my husband an almond croissant but they were sold out (so I recommend ordering ahead if you're not flexible). I ordered my husband a kougin aman, myself a Nutella croissant, and a croffle to split. They offer to warm up the pastries, but since I was doing takeout I warmed them up at home. The croffle was made to order and the smell on my drive home was SO tempting! I also ordered a cappuccino to go which was visually appealing but weirdly Luke warm. I ended up not drinking it. The coffee was the only miss. The croffle itself was worth the drive, and the Nutella croissant actually had plenty of filling (my pain point with most chocolate croissants) and was oozing Nutella! I will definitely make the drive again and re-order both (but probably hit the Starbucks up the street). read more

Honestly, I can't go to other coffee franchises or otherwise. My go-to is Vienna coffee; good to the last drop, including the foam ( use as a sort of cream for the next day's drip). Order via the Frame app and timely preparation. Notice that when the owner is present and in front of the establishment, the same drink tastes better. That is certainly the skill level of the barista. Indoors and outdoor sitting areas ate nice and quaint; however, due to close proximity it to others, conversation should not include TSI/CCI. This is a super cozy cafe right off of Chain Bridge Road in Vienna! I came in here on a cold rainy Saturday and this place was super packed, but everyone had super quick service and the seating turnover was excellent. My friend and I selected the pistachio cream latte with oat milk (regular is with whole milk) and grabbed a bacon egg and cheese with everything bagel to split. The lattes were delicious (that cream is divine!) and the bagel was savory and toasty. The staff are super nice and efficient. This place has some very solid coffee!! I loved the pistachio latte because they use actual pistachios and generally everything is super delicious. That being said i will take 1 star away because i dont love the vibe of the space. The space feels a little uber modern and the black and white aesthetic feels kind of cold. The staff is also generally polite, but they come off as indifferent. I prefer coffee shops that feel more cozy and welcoming, but dont let that keep you away. I've tried all three latte's and as much as I enjoy all three, their pistachio cream latte is my fave! They also have rotating seasonal flavors. The most recent time I went I got a matcha Forrest latte which was good! I will say the shop is fairly small and the parking lot can get busy too. We swung by Frame for our quick coffee run. The place is small with only a few tables and chairs. The menu is very exciting though, especially their specials menu. Our eye caught the pistachio latte and the pistachio cream latte on their menu. The pistachio cream latte was the most delectable iced coffee beverage I have ever had, and I swear I am not exaggerating. It was like a pistachio cake in a cup. The pistachio latte was also really great. The ambience is very edgy, in the sense that the decor was all black and white and the cups were all colorful (my friend noticed this and I want to give her credit). The barista taking our order was extremely patient with even though there was a long line behind us. I have been a barista in the past and I know the stress you get when you see a large queue and you have a confused customer waiting at the counter. The place can get a little loud during rush hour so if you are expecting to go here for a quiet study break or to do your work, be mindful of the noise and decide accordingly. We also tried the avocado toast and it was so good. Loved the fact that the bread was still crunchy and they had added a very interesting savory jam on the toast as well. After one visit I was HOOKED. This real strawberry matcha is an amazing and refreshing summer drink. I don't live in the area but I return weekly and grab one. We also tried the lavender matcha which is also a hit! I have not tried any of the pastries yet because they are usually sold out or limited when I come later in the afternoon on Saturdays. Staff is kind and patient. And the wait time is short for drinks every time and they have mastered consistent quality. Again, I mostly attend on Saturdays and it is usually pretty busy as far as the seating space goes. There's often limited, if any, seating. I don't think that I would go to frame for working purposes because it is quite small and I was looking around for outlets and I didn't see many so I don't think it's the most conducive as a workspace.
