My name is Roshawn Anderson and I was a patient at Frankle Dental Group on WAshington Blvd. I went into the office for a root canal and a crown. I walked out with braces on my teeth of which I can not afford. Then when I tried to talk to the office manager I was ignored and told she was not in the office and would call me Monday morning. today is Wednesday and I still have not heard from the office manager. I called back today tried to reach them again and was told they were not available that I needed to speak with Amanda or Monica only. Im frustrated and drowning financially and they are charging my bank account montly. DO NOT SIGN A CONTRACT WITH THEM! They want to charge me $1000.00 to remove the braces and I only have them on the top. I complained and then was told that they would go down to $500. That still doesnt make me happy. I want them removed for free! When it comes to orthodontics, this place is a scam. I got braces here in 2020 and they were taken off in 2021. I consistently came here throughout the years for dental cleaning, and then when I noticed my teeth shifting this year and went in for a consultation for a solution, the orthodontist quoted me for nearly triple the price of the original braces that I had and refused to take off the permanent retainer he put on in 2021 that was not working and causing a lot of pain. It took three visits over a span of six months to finally convince them to remove the permanent retainer without getting a new set of braces. They did not care that I was in pain. They only wanted to make more money off of me for a shotty job that they did in the first place. Not only that all of a sudden now I owe them $1000 for work that was done four years ago, which has never been brought up over the four years that I have been going there for cleanings. avoid this place at all they do not care about patients and they just want your insurance money. read more

Came here because of the great reviews but was sorely disappointed. They routinely lied to me and my insurance about costs and told me insurance would cover checkups every 4 months, which was a lie. The dental cleanings were fine, but the people doing them were messy and not very gentle. They always seem in a rush over here. I am most disappointed by the filling they did for me earlier this year, which I had consistent pain after getting. I went back to them to have it looked at, but was told the pain was going to be a new normal for me. I ended up going to a different dentist six months later and learned the filling had a hole in it that allowed for another cavity to form beneath it. The other dentist redid the filling and now my pain is gone! Terrible. If you're reading this, perhaps consider not trusting yelp for reviews on health professionals. I scheduled an appointment with Dr. Eugene Windom on Zocdoc, who unbeknownst to me is affiliated with the Frankel Dental Group. According to Zocdoc, Dr. Windom accepted my insurance. My appointment was scheduled for a Friday afternoon at his office on Venice Blvd. I received a call from a woman on Thursday, the day before my appointment, asking me if I could I come in that afternoon at 5:30 instead of Friday. I reluctantly agreed and was then told that I would need to come to the location on Washington Ave. First red flag. When I got the office, the atmosphere was chaotic and the whole process was rushed because they closed at 6pm. I prefer a more intimate setting when I go the dentist and this place was not that. Not a fan of the open rooms, especially in this day and age. I never met Dr. Windom. Apparently, he hasn't been in the office since the pandemic. Why is he still listed on ZocDoc and accepting appointments? I saw Dr. Moradi instead. nice guy but a fast talker who reminded me of a used car salesman. He suggested add-ons and treatments that I thought were unnecessary and excessive. I got the sense that this place really plays the "insurance" game. After my appointment, my provider told me that the practice was out of my network and I incurred unexpected fees. I was shocked with what they tried to charge my insurance company for routine care. Again, according to Zocdoc, Dr. Windom accepted my insurance. I checked the Frankel Group's website after speaking with my insurance provider and it says they do too. Wrong. Frankel Dental Group please: 1. Remove Dr. Windom from ZocDoc and stop accepting appointments on his behalf. 2. Don't schedule consultations to begin 30 minutes before you close. 3. Don't assume patients want to come to a different location. 4. Update the insurance information on your website and Zocdoc. This whole experience left a bad taste in my mouth and I will not return. read more

I would give them 5 stars for the final product but it took a lot of back and forth to achieve my wished-for look. Finally dr. Agaki and lab tech Cory produced the best crowns! I had 8 upper crowns installed with the goal of cosmetic tooth lengthening and whitening of the smile. I really appreciated all the staff, including dr. Korda, Sylvia and Frank. They worked well with me, including finances. My advice would be if you go to them for cosmetic dentistry, be precise! read more

This place is only concerned about the money! Stay away. They misdiagnose on purpose in order to over charge you and will send astronomical bills to your insurance. BEWARE. Always get a second opinion after going to this scam artist. They told me I had two cavities. I got two other opinions and they said my teeth were great and needed nothing, not even the deep cleaning this quack job said I needed to charge me an extra $100. I've only ever been here for dental cleanings and yearly check ups - luckily I've never had to visit for any other reason. The staff are all friendly and the dentists are great. I like the shiny artwork they have all throughout the building. The only thing I'm not a huge fan of are the open rooms because I'm more accustomed to private rooms. There are a lot of different dental hygienists over the years. A few of them I believe may not speak the best English, so sometimes it's hard to ask questions or communicate. Everyone is very friendly, though. I am surprised that I always get overly glowing reviews about my dental hygiene by the hygienist and the dentist. At my previous dentist who I used for 10+ years I always got some feedback on how I could improve. One dentist here even said that maybe a cleaning only once a year would be fine for me (this was during COVID when I skipped the dentist)? Honestly, my brushing skills aren't AMAZING nor have they greatly improved so sometimes I feel like maybe they aren't being that thorough? The location of this office is not ideal. The parking is narrow, but one day I had an appointment there was legit an In N Out car line RUNNING THROUGH THR PARKING LOT. It was the most ridiculous thing ever. When I tried to exit the lot people were blocking the exit waiting for their order. I wish there was another location! read more

I hate to write negative reviews but if you are not a patient yet I would recommend you do the research and trust the negative reviews. True that not everybody has the same experience with dentists or orthodontists. In fact, I'm very impressed by David Moradi's knowledge and interpersonal skills but unfortunately he partners with ruthless barracudas. Once you sign that ortho treatment contract there is no way out. They will control you and your insurance. They will continue billing your insurance even after you are done with all your treatments. I used to go here when I was a child never realizing how much of an amazing experience I had . After going to other dental offices as an adult and having the most traumatic experiences at those locations, I decided to go back to Frankel Dental .. and thank God I did ! They are all so nice and helpful- and even fixed the dental errors that was caused by another office . DEFINITELY A TRUSTWORTHY OFFICE . They treat you like family here ! My experience from A-Z was amazing. I was on vacation and one of my teeth started to throb in excruciating pain. I was able to make an appointment very quickly and I was seen the day I was back. Dr V did my exam. He found out what what wrong and fixed my problem in one visit and very effectively. I can eat and yawn with no pain now. Thank you so much Dr. V! Also, this office is very convenient because there are multiple dentists and an orthodontist Dr Moradi, who is amazing as well. Need a root canal? There's a doctor who's trained. Need braces? There's a orthodontist. It's very nice to have it all in one office. I live in Orange County and my sons and I drive here specifically for Dr Moradi and his professional staff. I am the Biggest baby regarding my teeth. I have sensitive gums so any type of work being done is quite nerve wracking. Dr Moradi is the best at making you feel comfortable. If you are a baby like me, Dr and staff will listen to you and they will understand. They will not be careless and rush through. Just tell them where you are at and they will accommodate to your needs. I had to extract two wisdom teeth and was quite nervous coming in. Sarah worked on getting the teeth out!
