I had one of the worst experiences I have ever had at a restaurant. From the moment I walked in, I felt completely unwelcome. The staff was extremely rude, dismissive, and unprofessional. Instead of treating me like a customer, I was spoken to in a hostile and disrespectful manner. During my visit, I felt that I was treated differently because I am Latino. The interaction left me feeling humiliated and uncomfortable. No customer should ever leave a business feeling disrespected or unwelcome. On top of that, the restaurant appeared poorly maintained, the atmosphere was unpleasant, and the service was incredibly slow and disorganized. The staff showed no interest in helping or resolving the situation and instead made the experience even worse. I left feeling disappointed, frustrated, and shocked by how I was treated. Last week I crashed a post Valentine's Day date with my parents and dined at Frankie & Augie Z for the 1st time. We went early and were able to have the restaurant basically to ourselves aside from one or two people at the bar. The waiter was knowledgeable and patient and allowed us to dine at our pace and enjoy conversation. For starters we had two types of calamari that were tasty, but we wished the calamari was more crisp. Beware of healthy size portions ;) Definitely shareable. I shared a dish filled with scallops, shrimp, mussels and clams served over a buttery saffron risotto. The seafood was one point, but the buttery saffron risotto stole the show for me. The seafood with mushrooms and asparagus didn't disappoint my father either! read more

We just ordered through the slice app a large pie half onion and garlic half plain and a cesare salad. The pizza came quicker than expected but I'm going to assume that's because they didn't take the time to cook it. The dough was pretty much still just that, dough, with what seems like a quart of oil on top. The cheese was in the corner of the box because I'm fairly certain the delivery guy just put it sideways between his seats. The "caesar salad" which consisted of wilted semi green leaves was swimming in so much dressing that the croutons were wet pieces of mush but no worries, they gave us an extra side just in case we couldn't drink it. We contacted slice and they were super helpful and gave a refund immediately and let the restaurant know to which they sent their sincerest apologies. Over the many return trips to Frankie and Augie'z my family and I have really enjoyed it, and it's become a staple (although I still thing that Z in the name needs to go far away..) We love the pizza, family style salads and the hot antipasto platters. Every single hot dinner menu item we have tried as been tasty and well portioned too. Great aspect is that you can sit on the casual side for pizza, or do takeout, or sit in the restaurant side and enjoy your meal for longer with full service and bar. read more

Absolutely awful!!!! I ordered shrimp scampi with linguine. I received shrimp soaking in a scampi sauce and a separate container of linguine with marinara sauce. What???? Is this how you serve it in your restaurant? Unbelievable. From now on I will order from 4 Brothers. They know how to make shrimp scampi!!!! I went in tonight pick up a slice of pizza. They did not have the slice I was looking for so l took about 30 seconds to look at what else they had and ended up ordering a chicken parm roll. The owner was impatient and got annoyed . The owner is miserable person who acts like he doesn't want to be there . The roll was large so I asked for an extra container of sauce. The owner gave me a slow eye roll and asked another employee to get it . I paid the bill and said thank you. The owner didn't say anything , he just closed the register and turned around. It seems to be contagious as the rest of staff behind the counter appeared to be miserable also. I won't be going back !!! read more

What a bummer to see a fantastic restaurant like Frankie & Augie'z with such a low average Yelp rating! Well, ignore that, and get yourself to this awesome spot for dinner if you find yourself in Westchester with a craving for great pizza, huge salads, and creative cocktails. My boyfriend's family has been coming here for years, and I was lucky enough to be introduced to this restaurant the first time I visited during the summer. His mom comes here so often that they know her takeout order right when she calls in! It's the fun, personal, and homey feeling of this restaurant that keeps us coming back again and again. The staff is friendly, and we've never had any issues with the service. In fact, I think this is one of the better restaurants service-wise that I've been to while visiting this area. The food is impressive, too. Whether you're ordering pizza from the casual takeout side or sitting down for a full Italian feast in the more traditional dining room, you're in for a treat. Last time we were here, I started off with a bowl of Tortellini en Brodo, and loved the flavorful and meaty chicken based broth brimming with cheesy tortellini. The portion size was excellent, and I almost didn't even have room for my entree.. but thank goodness I did! The Chicken Romana was tender and perfectly cooked and served in a light pan sauce with tons of yummy sautéed veggies, like mushrooms and sun-dried tomatoes. It's definitely worth ordering again, but the menu is gigantic and full of so many tantalizing options that I may have to try something new next time. Like the homemade gnocchi.. or the chicken cacciatore.. or.. and the list of things I want from this place goes on and on! Their pizza is also wonderful, everything from a simple Margherita to the weird in theory but amazing in practice Baked Ziti Pizza. Get it. Trust me. I didn't think it was possible... but this place continues to slide further and further down hill. The bread, hard as a rock. The house salad dressing is disgusting. Waitstaff is hit or miss, some are great, some are downright rude and have no place in the service industry. The entrees are flavorless and their chicken is so hard it's impossible to cut. The potatoes and side veggies taste like they were thawed from a frozen bag. Nothing tastes fresh. Everything has a stale/processed feel. Everyone in my party felt sick after leaving. Also half the items came out wrong. NOTE TO OWNERS: You raised prices in your system but never updated the menus. We noticed our check was higher than what it should have been. We were told management hadn't gotten to updating the physical menus yet. Not only is that deceitful but it's illegal. If you can't get your menus updated in time, you can't raise prices in your POS system first. Your deceit is costing you lifelong customers. Quality is plummeting while your prices are skyrocketing. I understand inflation is taking it's toll on all, but you do not seem equipped to handle it. read more

They're giving 50 cents on the dollar for gift cards that were purchased. Old owner sold gift cards and now new owner refuses to let them be used at full value. This may or may not be legal (depends on what parts of the business were sold/bought) but at the very least it's a bad look to punish customers who bought those gift cards in good faith. My wife and I split the hot antipasto and it was excellent. I had the filet of sole Francese which was superb. It is fresh, firm and properly cooked. All the other local pasta joints use frozen sole which always comes out mushy. My wife had the shrimp marinara, substituting spaghetti for linguini. It was, as they say in The Godfather, "the best on the City." My only complaint was they ran out of Compari, so my Summer cocktail of choice, the Aperol Spritz, was not available. read more

This was my first food from this restaurant. People are always saying it was good and I was in the mood for a REAL meatball parmigiana wedge. I placed a takeout order for the wedge with extra sauce. It was awful. There was barely any sauce (I even called them to be sure they understood I wanted extra sauce). The person confirmed my order. It just got worse. There were two, large, hard, tasteless meatballs, cut in half on the sandwich. Tasted like cheddar cheese, not mozzarella and in my opinion, sauceless. It was not warm and while the bread was soft it was not even toasted. Sorry, but it was the worst I have had. I toasted the bread with butter and trashed the rest. This is one of our regular go to restaurants over the years. We primarily come here for dinner and everybody LOVES their Calamari Calabrese (extremely recommended). Each of us then has to choose an entree amongst the myriad of choices, which is made easier after sipping on a cocktail. The '10' count of wings were missing 2... tonight we got 8 wings (with NO blue cheese dressing)... I'm sorry but I can't eat hot wings with no dressing... . . . . One of our favorite restaurants in town! Delicious Italian food and amazing pizza with a very very extensive menu. Frankie, the owner is so nice and works with his parents and family members. We have been ordering food and taking out because of Covid and it's just as delicious as if you were sitting there in the restaurant. Every order comes with fresh baked bread right out of the oven, yummy. Prices are very reasonable for what you get. Some of my favorites include chicken Parmesan with a side order of broccoli and garlic and oil and the Chicken delight salad which is one of the best salads that they make! Some slices were half - not fully - topped and ridiculously small and thin for showcase slices.
