Came here for an early lunch but I think this is a place that you're meant to come to for Happy Hour/Dinner. It was DEAD when we walked in. There was one family dining but otherwise it was empty. It's an Irish themed pub so the bar is insane! Like I said earlier, this would be a cool Happy Hour spot if you happened to be on this side of town or are on vacation. Not to mention this would be a better option for a meal than the food court at the outlet next door! I ordered the fish and chips and my hubby ordered a regular burger. The menu items came out in record time. My eyes popped out of my head when I saw the size of my fish. It was huuuge! The breading was a bit heavy for my tastes so I ended up peeling it away and eating the fish itself which was delicious. It also came with a side of steak fries (perfectly fried), cole slaw, side of tartar sauce and some malt vinegar if needed. Hubby was happy with his burger. There are also flatscreens all over this place. They were showing a soccer (futbol for Europe) game on tv. The waiter that seemed to be manning the entire restaurant of 2 tables was good. Husband and I came here while on anniversary vacation. I got bangers and mash and he got Shepard's pie. Everything was good. My only complaint is that my bangers and mash definitely needed more gravy. It is a little bit over priced for what you get but nothing we didn't expect. So I have been to Frankie Ferrels twice, and have to say I am a fan! It is in a somewhat uncommon location for an Irish restaurant located under some timeshare and in the back of the outlet center. The first time I came there were virtually no people there on a Saturday afternoon. the service and food were both great. Well, the second time, I decided to try them on St Patty's day since I knew the other local Irish pubs would be slammed. It was definitely a good move. While they were packed, they handled the crowd well, and I was seated within 30 minutes. The four of us ordered the fish and chips (ginormous), Guinness stew, chicken curry, and a burger. Everything was amazing. it was all fresh and hot with lots of flavor. I will definitely be going back as they do have local craft beer as well. read more

The picture I posted doesn't do it justice. This place is a little hard to find. We passed it and had to turn around. Worth the hunt, though! Even locals don't seem to know about it. On vacation and this was in our hotel complex. Ate lunch here when we arrived and was so impressed by the menu selection, we came back for dinner on our last night. The Fish dinner (my first meal) was Excellent! Large, perfectly battered, wonderful fish! My second meal was the Shepherds Pie, which rivaled my favorite of the same name from Cheesecake Factory. It's St Patty's Day so we were a little confused that the place was fairly empty. We chalked it up to the fact that it was only 5:00 and decided to go in and sit at the bar. We were immediately approached and given menus. Then the bartender took our drink orders. We ordered Guinness of course... That's where the service ended. 5 minutes went by and the guy that gave us our menus came over and asked if we want to order drinks. We told him that the other bartender had taken our drink order. He went over and said something to him and walked back into the kitchen. Same guy came back 5 minutes later and told us that he was " working on our drinks" . We could literally see him Not working on our drafts. We waited another 5 or 7 minutes and then left. Again, I would have understood if the place had been busy. NOT WORTH A SINGLE STAR. The Manager (John) at the Davenport location threatens customers and owners of the resort very often. He has no respect or morals and definitely should not have this position. He treats the staff unfairly by taking all tables/ customers away from regular servers who most certainly earn the tips. I was trying to order a drink and was asking for a recommendation, while being given a recommendation I was rudely interrupted and the regular server was sent to the back. I will not be giving my business to this place.. There are multiple other restaurants that will appreciate your business and give you great customer service. I'll start with the service since that was the only thing worth talking about. Our server, Amber, certainly deserved more than the automatic 15% gratuity that was added to our bill for a party of four...an unfortunate side effect of being located in a tourist destination. She was clearly invested in our dining experience. Regrettably, despite all her efforts, she couldn't make up for an awkwardly arranged restaurant and less than mediocre food. When we walked into the restaurant, there was no one to greet us, and we walked around aimlessly trying to find a hostess until Amber met us in the middle of the restaurant floor, noting how lost we looked. I asked if perhaps we came in the back door, and she replied that there were four entrances and no "front" door....a less than welcoming approach. The food... I suppose I could have been tipped off as to the authenticity of the Irish pub with a name like Frankie's. Shepard's Pie is a classic Irish dish and a "signature" of Frankie Farrels. I was hesitant to order it since our family makes a very traditional Shepard's Pie recipe. I asked several questions about the dish, which Amber was so gracious to answer, and admitted to her I was a self-professed "Shepard's Pie Snob." This being said and knowing it would be difficult to satisfy my Shepard's Pie craving, three words for you: instant.mashed.potatoes! SMH. The same could be said for the fish and chips. So glad we decided to give this place a go! Tony, the bartender, is an exceptional person. Very friendly, quick to change out flat tonic, recommend great food and just an all around great guy. The pretzel appetizer was delicious. After seeing the fish and chips that several people ordered for take out, we are planning to return before we leave so we can have that amazing looking dish! Super happy to hear about the 2nd location in Davenport at Regal Palms, as we have stayed there 2x over the past few years. The service is to be commended and the food is good. So I had a window of 45 minutes to have lunch the other day and based on location, I chose this place to dine. I was not impressed at all. First of all, the service was not that great. I sat at the bar for a good 8-10 mins before someone asked if i was being helped. It was not that crowded at 3pm on a Thursday afternoon. I'd say maybe 4-5 tables with 3 servers available. I went with their Rueben Sandwich and I felt that the corned beef was overlooked and a tad greasy. I also asked if they had WiFi and was told it was not available to the public. Ok so I used my hot spot so no biggie. The biggie issue for me was they charged a 15% gratuity. I understand if they charge that for a parry of 6 or more but just to add it for a party of one? That is lame beyond belief. There is a parking lot here with plenty of parking available. I do not recommend this location at all as there has to be better options than this spot. read more

We moved an empty beer glass away to sit down and the bar area looked dirty. Of course, we're worried about COVID-19, but they didn't seem too concerned the way they went about touching our glass and food. After we finally got our Bangers & Mash and Fish & Chips, we had to ask for utensils (mind you, there were only three at the bar, we were two.) If you've ever been to a Bennigans or any so called Irish pub you've been here. Decor and design is familiar. Menu is too. Nothing especially Irish about the menu, it's all Americanized. I got the black and blue burger. Asked for medium, it was closer to well done and yet still very greasy. A little pool of grease collected on my plate. Exterior was over seared. It was just a standard burger with blue cheese. Nothing special about it. Server was cool but wait time was quite long. Sunday at 8pm shouldn't be peak hours. Came in to town on vacation... The restaurant was conviniently right under my room. Had a great time with my family and friends. Very nice environment. Food was very good and plentiful. Wings were very good, as was the Cesar salad. It's a little pricey, however if you're a resort guest they hook you up with discount gift certificates. The sad part is I did not see any leprechauns. STOP! DO NOT believe any of the reviews that are four or five stars, these reviews are obviously family, friends or employees. I trusted all these incredible 4/5 star reviews and OMG they couldn't be farther from the truth! Took several minutes to be greeted & sat, no host/hostess. I believe the bartender/manager finally acknowledged us and basically told us to pick a table. No server ever greeted us at our table, the same bartender/manager came back to ask our drink order and then returned several minutes later to ask what one of the drinks was...a coke, diet coke and ice tea. A server finally came to our table but was grabbed by another server and told our table was covered, she just smiled and walked away. Three servers were on the floor and it was a cluster. The bartender/manager took our food order, seemed shocked that we were only ordering two meals...sampler appetizer platter and the fish/chips. Appetizer platter: wings, good - potato skins, tasted like store bought frozen kind, terrible - mozzarella sticks, also frozen kind, but decent Fish/chips: two HUGE pieces (perfect for sharing), hot & flavorful - chips, terrible frozen fries that came out lukewarm at best. Empty drinks sat until we flagged down another server. The bartender/manager came back to our table for the first time since food had been dropped after two of us were already done eating. GREAT! Brandon was our server. Really enjoyed a late lunch here. These folks deal with a lot of tired, cranky families and lots of kids. They were patient and gracious. This place is a bit like a rambling Irish diner, if there was such a thing. There are a couple of dining areas winding around the bar, a small arcade area. It's clean like a family restaurant, a bit dark like a dive-y old bar, comfy and full of families. The shepherd's pie is awesome, has a great thyme-oregano thing happening. We heard several other customers raving about it too. The Guinness stew was phenomenal - sirloin tips in a rich gravy. We hoped to make it back for the shepherd's pie again but ran out of time. The chef is inspired - yet there are truly down-home mama's kitchen touches, like the garlic bread made from a slice of white bread toast. We would totally come back here again! read more

While in Orlando, we were looking for a spot for lunch before escaping out of town. Found this place on yelp! Tried to locate via yelp for about 20 minutes.to no avail. Address and directions take you to the mall office of the outlet mall next door when they are actually on the 1st floor of the hotel/ timeshare next door. Called the place twice to assist and they kept telling me they were next to the Nike store or near this store..................... I almost purposely crashed into a tree when I realized they could have easily mentioned that they were in The big ass 3-story building next door!! Anyway, let's try and move on... My son got the chicken wings and they were just OK, my wife got the shepherd's pie and said it was a little better than OK and I got the fish and chips and they were pretty damn good. What a great place to eat! The ambiance is true irish, the burgers are juicy, and where else can you get a sandwich consisting of french fries and eggs! Looking for something fun, go for the Santa Fe wrap! I sometimes have a problem with ranch dressings, but this one was great! Plus, any place that has Strongbow on tap is great for me! For dinner I ordered the Fish and Chips. Our waiter, Dalton, told me it was a big piece of fish and showed me on his arm, elbow to wrist, how big it was. Well, when it came the fish almost covered the plate. It was huge. With fires and coleslaw it was a lot to eat. My wife had a Philly Cheese steak sandwich. It was also very big and delicious. Tucked away in the Lake Buena Vista Factory Stores and on the edge of the Lake Buena Vista Resort Village, I was super surprised to find that this place was pretty nice! Outdoor seating is available, along with AMPLE seating inside (this place is huge!). Although it was empty when I first arrived, it started filling up rapidly as the dinner hour approached. I was waiting for a friend, so I started at the bar and ordered a shandy... It was so tasty that I had to have another! Barmaid/Barman were super friendly. After my friend arrived, he decided that he wanted to order some fish & chips. What was delivered was the largest fillet of fish I have ever seen. It looked like half of a coelacanth! Friend declared the fish super tasty and the chips that I snitched were perfect. $15 for the Fish & Chips... not bad for the extremely generous portion. Strongbow cider is on tap, along with seasonal ales. TV's showing the days games were peppered around the seating area. Laid back feel. The service was awful. The waitress seemed like she was rushing us through our review. When we asked about the specials, she said there were none. I asked what the local brew options were which the menu encouraged, the waitress pointed me back to the menu, making me feel dumb for even asking. I asked for a Funky Buddha Floridian and was told they didn't have it. I asked for a Sam Adams Seasonal (Summer) and was told they didn't have it. I ordered the Blue Burger and when it was presented, it looked burnt (I ordered well done, not burnt). It was over-seasoned to the point I couldn't get passed 3 bites. I asked the waitress to substitute the burger for a salad at that point as a palate cleanser. My husband's bangers and mash was a sad presentation and bland. The place was empty. I have been to this restaurant a number of times and it never disappoints. It appears to be a simple bar and expect typical bar food. What you get however is fresh food that is perfectly prepared. Yesterday I had a delicious rib eye steak that was fantastic. Today however my meal topped it by far. My advice is GET THE FISH AND CHIPS. Unbelievably delicious.
