A good time. They offer a nicely curated, ever changing menu. Lovely cocktails, romantic setting. It's small but if you get there early you can score a seat with a view.

We were warmly greeted, and they inquired if we were there for a table/bar seating, or the retail shop. We sat at the bar, and there were other customers at tables enjoying a glass and engrossed in conversation. They offer a small snack menu, along with a selection of wines, and they have a good knowledge and will provide counsel on the options. We ordered the ricotta toast and the lonzo, a ham similar to prosciutto. Both were delicious! The lonzo comes with a drizzle of quality olive oil on top, and a sprinkle of salt, and a dab of mustard. The ricotta toast (no pic sorry) was also tasty. The space leans to industrial loft, but is warm and invites conversations and relaxation. The shop also has a retail space, and a monthly wine club subscription is an option. It is separated from the restaurant, but not a quirk of their shop, but archaic Vermont liquor laws. We decide to subscribe and picked up our first selections to take home.

We sat at the bar for glasses of wine with lots of treats: a bowl of yummy olives, fancy tinned fish, bresaola, mind-blowing new award-winning blue cheese from Jasper Hill (withersbrook) and a cherry, tomato, almond, burratini salad...all served with slices of excellent bread. Perfect accompaniments to each plate: lemon and garlic with the fish, cherry conserves with the cheese, etc... We'll be back again and again, with friends in tow.

Calling all Natural Wine Lovers! This must be the place!…read more As someone who is in the wine industry I always scope out wine bars when traveling and I am so happy to have encountered Bar Renee. This super quaint, but fun bar is the perfect place for a glass or two of natural wines. And, if you don't know much about natural wines the employees sure do. They can tell you about almost all the wines they serve and the best part...You can buy them right there as well. Yes, that's right! Due to their license you can sip and shop their selections. We enjoyed it so much that we ended up going twice. They had a tasting on Sunday where they opened up a few bottles and you get to try them all, for only $5 so it was a steal. I ended up bringing how a red wine from California. They also have small plates. We ended up sharing their olives and marcona almonds. This is also a great place for groups since they have plenty of tables towards the back of the bar. I can't wait to come back here. Cheers~

We did the tasting and all 3 wines that was suggested were absolutely delicious. The service was exceptional and the person who helped us with our tasting was kind, knowledgeable and made our entire experience fun! The wines he suggested were so good that I ended up buying a bottle from there. You can sit at the bar or they have plenty of seating to chill on your own! Would definitely recommend checking this spot out if you're in the area.

Nestled in the heart of Shelburne center, this is defiantly the local favorite. The rustic feel and charm when you walk in is inviting and cozy. The baristas are always friendly, asking all the questions I forget need to be answered before crafting drinks. I highly recommended any of the pastries at the counter, especially the scones! My most recent love for Village Wine and Coffee has been their Friday night wine tastings. The first night we went I was blown away by the wine selection, the ability that our server was able to articulate the different wines, regions and flavors as well as parings (or what not to eat so as to truly experience the wines). We also queued in that the tastings are 'bring your own food' as groups streamed in throughout the night with bowls of him made pasta, cheese plates, even take out pizza. Needless to say, we stepped up our game after that. Truly a hidden gem, being just beyond the Burlington boundary. Looking forward to next week's tasting! Pro tip: parking can get a little crazy. If it's looking super busy you can park just a little ways always at the plaza next door and walk. You will be glad you did!

They have an art gallery and wine shop as well and the coffee shop is a pleasant place to work. Part of me likes the fact that they don't have wifi as it's kind of old fashioned but it can make it a bit hard as a place to work. I usually just get the regular black coffees and I like that they have a selection of roast levels here. Pricing isn't cheap but it's what I would expect for the area. I wish they had cold brew as the ice coffee is not the same or as good. My wife loved the maple latte and that they do half caff. She recently ordered a matcha that wasn't great but they said it was the end of the bag and gave us a free iced decaf latte instead which was very nice. With the service, location, and dependably pretty good coffee, I will continue to patronize this business.

I ordered the Something Fun cocktail, which was fruity, refreshing, and beautifully presented with blue salt speckled around the rim of the glass. For dinner, I had the whole trout in a dill sauce with a side of purple cauliflower. Everything is locally sourced, and while the menu features a few staples, it changes daily. Each menu is date-stamped, which I'm obsessed with--it's a great reminder of how fresh everything is. Vermont generally has a great local food scene, and I really appreciate the thoughtfulness behind the ingredients, presentation, and overall quality. Frankie's is a restaurant I'd highly recommend for groups, family dinners, date nights, or even corporate dinners. I'd love to come back and explore more of their wine selection. The staff is incredibly welcoming, happy to chat, and very knowledgeable about the menu. Expect to spend around $75 per person for a meal, a side or appetizer, and one drink.

They helped take our coats/hang them for us. We were always closely attended to and given time if more was needed. The homemade pasta dish we got with greens and mushrooms was fantastic! My bf liked the shrimp appetizer/smaller dish and we all liked the trout, but it seemed a little mushy/overcooked. Cons: loud/bad acoustics, dim, portion size(only for one specific dish) A little hard to hear inside when it's at peak capacity. Was at dinner with a group of four and it was quite hard to hear the person diagonally across from me the entire night. Lighting was a little too dim for my personal liking but others may not mind(for example, it was darker inside than it was outside at 6pm). Food was overall very good. The disappointments were a clam dish we couldn't even first find any clams in and then the two people who got them when we divided up the dish only got two each! And the side greens, seemed overcooked and were over-salted. Would definitely try it again would recommend to others.
