Atmosphere: My group ate inside and no complaints. Decorations were somewhat minimal but enough to fill the walls. The place was pretty busy so noise level was to be expected and staff running all over. Food: The food was good. Not terrible but not the best I have ever had either. I got combo fajitas, chicken was meh, and the beef was pretty good. The salsa though..... it was good but they need to up their game on how much they give you. You only get the little plastic condiment cups. Which if you love a good salsa it needs to be a bowl. Service: Our waiter started off good but it quickly faded. Several times throughout dinner we had to grab other people to help for refills, get extra salsa, and even to get our check. Not sure that I would seek out to go eat here but if the folks we met wanted to go back, we would go. read more

Service is great! A-1! And our waiter was very attentive, making sure our chips and dip were consistently filled. I can't deny everything was delicious and very filling! As for the guacamole appetizer, it's definitely not worth the $9, for 4 tbsp of ordinary guacamole. However, because everything else was so tasty it made up for that, lol! Keep in mind the Brisket Enchiladas and most speciality dishes do not come with rice beans, it is an additional charge if you would like it. The Mexican lasagna was delectable, as were the brisket enchiladas! The caldo de res had a nice flavor, but the meat was underwhelming and small. I've ordered from this place multiple times. Chipotle salmon is very good. Salmon was moist on the inside with a nice crisp on the outside. The Chipotle sauce is the best I've ever had, I'm not a fan of the sated veggies that comes with this dish so I usually double on the rice but that's my preference. Thier cheese enchiladas are also good. My son loves their Mexican rice as do I. Their ceviche was the best I've had in DFW so far. I ordered their Pollo Gordo Specialty this past week. Although the dish was good, the chicken was moist , love the spinich and mushrooms. It was over seasoned so on the salty side. Overall I would keep ordering from this place, it's very good and food has been consistent. I'll be coming in with my family soon to try out their brunch menu. Came in here for dinner and drinks and was so glad we did! They had a great variety for Mexican food as well as some surprise menu items like fried rice and pasta options which were fantastic! We sat at the bar and Carlos was very kind and took the time to give recommendations even when it was busy. All I ordered there while visiting the local Herman Marshall was their Nachos and the chips and salsa. Their portions for a $15 nachos was approximately 8 chips overloaded with Shredded cheese and a tiny bit of beans along with tiny bit of brisket. The cheese did not even stick to the chips. Which means they did not use real cheese. This Nacho plate was horrible. Strangel that a restaurant fails to compare to the Nachos at a Cigar bar. If you want great nachos visit Industrial Cigar in Frisco. If you need a proportionate order of nachos that. are not over priced and taste so much better try 7-11. read more

My 88 year old mother in law is still talking about this place 2 weeks later. Great margaritas, good chips and just about anything I have ever ordered is good. It does get crowded, we went on a Friday at 5 pm and was already crowded. We also had the sopapillas with ice cream and it was delicious. Frankie's is great! Solid food, great margaritas - only thing I don't like about this particular location... they put too much orange juice in their house margarita mix. The other locations have 100% fantastic margs! I typically don't do house margs... I do at Frankies. Queso is white queso which I love. You can get the brisket added to the queso which is good to. So there's another Frankie's in Sachse. Talk about great service and amazing Mexican food. Their street corn is actually roasted so you can taste all the grill goodness. The queso and chorizo was also phenomenal. It's served on a hot iron skillet so your queso stays hot longer. Chips and salsa are also commendable. I finished off a whole serving all on my own. My favorite was the Clemente's Enchiladas. It's 3 chicken enchiladas with Chipotle (or verde) sauce topped with 2 eggs any way you want it. We had them over medium. The decor is rustic and quite charming. We went on a Sunday and the restaurant was hopping. There's covered patio dining with lots of windows. They're actually expanding their patio section, and with the south winds, it feels absolutely lovely to dine outside. read more

Amazing downtown Wylie spot for authentic Tex-Mex food. The staff here is very attentive and kind and the food is wonderful. We go here very often to grab food to go and enjoy sitting on the open patio. The crew here does a great job of following COVID protocols, too, wearing masks and keeping as much distance as they can given the space available. Every table even has a bottle of hand sanitizer. My favorite entree is the Clemente's Enchiladas, but I also love their steak fajitas, quesadillas, and brisket enchiladas. Definitely stop by and grab some food to go if you haven't been vaccinated against COVID-19 yet, and - if you have - enjoy your visit by sitting on the open patio (with a mask until you get your food). read more

I finally was able to visit Frankie's. Fairly busy at 6:15 on a Saturday night but we were able to get seated immediately in the bar. Queso with beef app was good. Got the combo fajitas which were also pretty good! I just forgot the pic. Serving staff was quick. There appears to be no fountain drinks, though. I just realized I have never done a review for Frankies Casa. This is the absolute best restaurant in the neighborhood. When we discovered the other location, we knew there is no other Mexican food place to ever go to. When they opened up the Casa, we found the same great food much closer to our home in Wylie. They have really fixed up the little house that it is in, it is cute, and has a nice little bar. Seating area is fine. Outdoor seating is really nice when the weather permits. If you have friends in town and want to take them for real Texas Mexican food, there is absolutely no better place than Frankies. Skip all the rest and get the best! read more

My only complaint was the guacamole. About 4 ounces for $9 was outrageously expensive. Response back from waitperson is avocados are expensive. If true, there are $100 worth in my refrigerator! This was my 3rd time eating at Frankie's and it's still such a good meal. The staff greats upon arrival, no matter how busy, and so far we've never had a wait. Food is amazing, chips and salsa never go empty, or drinks. One thing I love about a restaurant that offers chips and salsa - every person getting their own salsa.. that's a big plus - Frankie's does that! Drinks are great - especially margaritas. My one negative - They don't have fountain drinks. If you ask for a soda to drink, it comes in a bottle with ice to go with. I particularly don't like drinking soda from a bottle with ice, so this is a negative for me. I do believe they chill the bottles, but it's not the same as fountain soda. But, don't let that take away from trying Frankie's if you haven't. read more

We have been going to the one in Sachse for many years. Just found out about this one and it is closer to home. Been there 3 times now for lunch and each time it was excellent.
