The portions are large here. We were able to split the Signature Hand-Pulled Stir Fry Noodles with Beef ($18) between two people. Spiciness is customizable on a scale of 1-4. The scale sounded intimidating so we opted for 1 as a mild. It was very mild and we will definitely go for 2 next time. The food came out quickly. You could taste the difference since the noodles were hand-pulled as opposed to not. It was a great stop for Asian food while we were in Oregon. Our server was very attentive. There was a jug for water at our table. Our server brought out two water jugs when we requested more water. A regular came in the store and there was good rapport. Stopped by this place while walking to powells after hearing so much. It was pretty much empty at the time i went but i can see this place getting packed. There are only a few tables from what i can see. Good the veggie spring rolls and spicy noodles that i cannot remember the name of. The spring rolls were very very greasy. It was a simple flavor, great crunch but very greasy. Also i have never see a sweet and sour sauce so red. Very interesting. The noodles has the perfect file and satisfying texture. The noodles? Oh my dumpling-loving ancestors... these noodles are so good I nearly filed adoption papers so they could legally become part of my family. They're bouncy, silky, and so perfectly chewy I'm convinced they have a personal trainer. When the server delivered my bowl, the steam rose up and slapped me across the face like, "WELCOME TO FLAVOR, FOOL!" The portions for add-ones are paltry, the spice levels are wildly inconsistent, and their level of care on their takeout packaging is abysmal - it's twice now I've been covered in leaking chili oil within the 5 minutes it takes to get home. Wife and I enjoyed crispy (not over cooked) string beans, mushrooms and onions with brown sauce along with a dish of hand pulled flat-wide chewy noddles with cabbage and tofu - next time I'll ask Frank JR, who served us the food and history of noodles, to add on more cabbage. I was really excited to try this place but ended up pretty disappointed. The place is very clean and they were welcoming when I came to pick up my food. I thought the food for the value was very underwhelming- the crab puffs for 4 small puffs was $8 and not nearly the best I've had of these, they were quite soggy and we ate them right away. The sesame chicken was $17 for a not even full container and it cost extra even to get white rice on top of that. And it was just okay chicken. That was pretty disappointing. The signature noodles were lacking flavor and seemed a little undercooked. Overall, not my favorite place and really expensive for what we got. I love noodles! I had looked forward to trying Frank's all week. The wait was worth it. First, they let me plug in my phone behind the counter so it could charge. Service was super fast. Noodles were chewy. The beef was so soft I could cut it with a fork. It was a perfect level 2 spiciness too. The spring rolls were very light and crunchy. The menu offers a variety of options without being overwhelming leading to a plethora of delicious combos. Take note, all entrees can have hand-pulled noodles added to them for $6!
