Great food. Absolutely amazing hand pulled noodles. We are big fans of the Franks noddle chain. This location has really sweet employees. It's a small little spot. You absolutely must try if in the area.

Had such a good experience at this place! We went for New Year's Eve when a lot of other restaurants were closed or too busy. We got seated right away and our waiter was incredibly nice and energetic. Some items were hits and some were pretty good, but overall we'd be back. Here's what we ordered: Pork belly hand pulled noodles (mild spice, would recommend spicier if you like) - 5/5 Mongolian beef - 3/5 (decent but not regular Mongolian beef, more of a gochujang flavor) Short ribs - 4/5 (could be more tender) Honey walnut shrimp - 4.5/5 Salt and pepper calamari - 5/5 Beef Fried Rice - 4.5/5

From the moment I pushed open the door at Franks House of Noodle, I burst out laughing so hard the host thought I needed medical attention. The aroma hit me first like a warm hug from a Chinese grandma who thinks you're too skinny and must eat now. I swear the air itself tasted like broth. I almost ordered oxygen as an appetizer. The noodles? Oh my dumpling-loving ancestors... these noodles are so good I nearly filed adoption papers so they could legally become part of my family. They're bouncy, silky, and so perfectly chewy I'm convinced they have a personal trainer. When the server delivered my bowl, the steam rose up and slapped me across the face like, "WELCOME TO FLAVOR, FOOL!" You can hear the kitchen staff cooking like they're auditioning for a kung fu movie. Pots banging, flames whooshing, someone yelling in Mandarin probably saying something motivational like, "IF THIS BROTH ISN'T PERFECT, I JUMP OUT THE WINDOW!" It's poetic. It's beautiful. It's slightly concerning but in the best way. Even the chairs are funny. I sat down and it squeaked so loud it sounded like a dumpling screaming for help. The table wobbled like it had too much bubble tea. I laughed so hard I burned half the calories I was about to eat. Why four stars instead of five? Simple: My chopsticks were too slippery. I spent ten minutes trying to pick up one noodle and ended up catapulting it across the table like a tiny pasta missile. The couple next to me ducked like they were under attack. Hilarious for me, traumatizing for them. But overall? This place is a comedic, noodle-slurping masterpiece. You walk in laughing, you eat laughing, and you leave laughing mostly because you're full, happy, and your chopsticks betrayed you again. Highly recommend if you want amazing noodles and a free ab workout from laughing.

One of the best to ever do it. I had been to the OG Frank's a few times but was on the west side and decided to try their new location. It did not disappoint. Franks signature hand pulled noodles are still as delicious as always. This location is also in a fun area and the staff is very friendly.

The service and food delivery is so quick. All of the food is very fresh! I had the chicken noodle soups (vegetarian). There was so much bokchoy, celery, carrots and mushrooms shrooms along with tons of perfectly cooked noodles. The bowl was huge! I ended up taking half home. My spouse had the chicken stir fry noodles. So much marinated chicken, crisp vegetables and of course noodles. Also a huge portion that half came home with us. The tables are closed together with tennis balls on the legs - maybe to keep from scratching the pretty floors.

Very average...All our dishes were lackluster in flavors despite being freshly made and generous in portion. Nothing really jumped out or drew us in to eat more. The House Dumplings had skimpy fillings. While the Hand Pulled Noodles with Beef had a nice texture, the dish lacked seasonings. Similarly, the Mongolian Chicken was bland. Felt like they're catering more towards Western palette. Staffs were friendly and space was nice though.

A great more casual and cozy restaurant in the pearl. The seating surrounds part of the kitchen, so you get to watch the chefs cook from your table, which I enjoyed. I received welcoming and kind service from our waitress, who walked me through the whole menu and gave recommendations. I got the signature hand pulled noodles and the house dumpings. The noodles came with a massive portion, easily enough for 2 full meals and were perfectly thick and chewy. The sauce they came in was lightly spicy, but honestly not anything too special. The dumplings were filled with juicy pork and fresh chives and the dipping sauce was bursting with flavor.

I've been to other locations and franks noodle house is good, but this location by me is EXCELLENT!!! The food was amazing but the service..... the service was absolutely incredible and made the experience memorable. Will absolutely be coming back.

    Hand pulled noddles and tofu!
    Roger M.

Hand made daily - the noddles are fresh and so delicious. Servings are big so show up hungry. Wife and I enjoyed crispy (not over cooked) string beans, mushrooms and onions with brown sauce along with a dish of hand pulled flat-wide chewy noddles with cabbage and tofu - next time I'll ask Frank JR, who served us the food and history of noodles, to add on more cabbage. Add chili oil to take up a spice notch. Junior Frank has been eating noddles all his life and can guide you through the grandoise menu! Cooked in an open kitchen with very contemporary and convivial setting. If you love noddles, try Frank's Noddles!

Food came out fast! Saturday nite was not busy around 7, then perps started showing up. This is a new location and a first time here for my gf and I. We ate by the window on a nice afternoon. The bulgogi is a little sweet. My gf said it reminded her of yoshinoya. The general tsao's chicken you can tell they use thighs. Better than the orange chicken imo. Fun location, hand pulled noodles were fantastic once again. Thanks!

go try this place! we went there on a whim because we were all hangry and everyone left happy! the noodles are amazing and the service was great too. it had just opened up for lunch when we stopped by so it was not busy, but i'm not sure what the crowd is like near dinner. would def go back

I'm sorry that we ate the dumplings so quickly so there's no picture of them. But the dipping sauce is delicious. Plenty of food to share.

We were warmly greeted at the door and shown to a table. Excellent recommendations were made for what to choose for first timers, and we can strongly recommend the homemade dumplings, The other wonderful dish has the long, handmade noodles with pork belly. We asked for medium spice, and that was perfect; we could even have a little hotter. The room is a little noisy, that's because the kitchen is right there making all these dishes fresh. We will be back. If you like noodles, this is a good place to come.

It was so delicious that I brought my spouse back for dinner when he arrived later in the weekend. When I went the first night I got the shrimp pad Thai and it was the best pad Thai I've had in a long time. So full of flavor and fresh ingredients. I also got the hazy IPA from the local brewery, Backwoods. When we came back later in the weekend, my spouse got the shrimp pad Thai since I sang its praises. I got the million dollar shrimp tom kha ramen and it was DIVINE! I literally cherished every slurp and bite, it was so incredible and flavorful! My spouse got a different local IPA and I got a unique twist on a Negroni. The staff were extremely friendly helpful, ensuring that we had an impeccable experience from start to finish. Prices were also reasonable for the high quality ingredients, quantity, and presentation. The ambiance was wonderful, offering a clean, welcoming, and modern-green chic aesthetic. Not only did we have an amazing dinning experience, but also an amazing service and ambiance experience! If we are ever in town again, Buranko Cafe & Bar will be our top spot to stop!

The crab wontons were really good , crunchy and filling are well seasoned it wasn't just stright up cream cheese, I enjoyed them a lot with the sweet chili sauce. Two bibimbaps to go: one was tofu and the other was spicy pork. Spicy pork is not spicy but looks like it is. Good taste, so it's marinated well and the meat isn't tough to chew, like some other places. I loved the spicy pork bibimbap though. All fresh ingredients! They give a lot of vegetables, which is so nice, because other places are very sparing with their ingredients. I'm usually left with so much rice at the end. However, this place did a good job giving the right amount of ingredients. They also gave a small cup of miso soup - thank you! Would get this again! My husband enjoyed his tofu version. If you're someone who wants spice, add some of the red sauce they give you in a cup. I was very happy the spicy pork wasn't spicy, but I liked being able to control any spice with the red sauce.

Location: This bar is on the first floor of the Hyatt House Portland / Downtown. Ambiance: Pretty quiet and chill. There weren't a lot of people there so it was really easy to get a drink. Drink options: I really loved how they circle around different local beer on tap. They also have a few bottled beer too. They have a cast amount of liquor too. Surprisingly, they had a new bottle of Hennessy when we finished the first (during our stay). Usually a lot of bars in hotels don't have it, so that was a major plus. Bartenders: We met three while we were there. All of them super kind, friendly, and informative of the surrounding area. They gave us lots of tips on what to see, eat, and drink. They were really down to earth people. Pricing: I thought it to be fairly reasonable for a hotel, however I might just be jaded from Bay Area pricing (yikes). What I loved about this bar is that we were able to just chat with the bartender. I didn't feel like I had to go back to my room with my drink (which is usually the case). I was able to talk to a few other people sitting at the bar too. Of course all from out of town, but still nice talking to other friendly strangers. They do serve food at this place, but I didn't really get a chance to try it it since there was soooo many other food joints in the area.
