Disappointing that place would not be honest about losing the order. When I called order in, she said 20 minutes., but when I showed up at that time, they couldn't find the order and switched to spanish to ask cooks if they had the order, and they said they never got it. I ordered the spaghetti and meatballs and unfortunately I didn't like it but my bf had already paid, I asked if I could just exchange for what he ordered since I liked his meal and they said I would have to purchase a whole new meal that don't do that. There was an employee who was sitting at a table, who was likely a supervisor or manager, maybe even Frank, who was talking all the talk. Not surprisingly, none of the employees were wearing masks. In regards to the food an service.... There was little to no service. My son had to walk up and ask for our drink refills and later the check and boxes for our leftovers. The pizza crust was nice. Most excellent pizza. I love the Greek salad too! I get a whole specialty pizza from Frank's at least twice a month. Whenever I go to Dixieline across the parking lot on the weekend, I'll stop in and get a couple slices. The slices are great reheated, because the crust gets nice and brown and crispy. Frank's Pizza is a family owned business. The owners plus their kids work there. A small pizzeria that serves big cold beers and delicious pizza pies. One big screen TV located behind a small bar that has 5-6 bar stools plus tables and chairs throughout. The service that day was 'meh'. That's what you get sometimes when you hire millennials. The pizza is the main attraction though. The dough is chewy, crispy to perfection. The topping aren't heavy handed but evenly placed to have every bite consistently flavorful. I am sold on their pizza. Definitely crave worthy and worth another visit. Having the works. I want that again. Support your local businesses especially the good ones. My family has been eating at this restaurant for years. Their pasta, salads and sandwiches are good. However, We are very disappointed with their pizza. The dough was rubbery, thin and chewy. The restaurant is decorated with New York City nostalgia, which my native New Yorker mom enjoyed. I also lived in NYC as an adult for some time and the decor brought back great memories. My husband likes the pizza; he would continue to buy it. However, my mom and I agree the pizza isn't a true representation of New York City. We also tried the Greeh Salad, which is often made incorrectly based on our instructions. The available manager has always offered to accommodate us, but it had to happen only when she was working. I do not give poor reviews often, however what I do appreciate is a business that tries. We all make mistakes. Tonight my husband ordered a pizza to bring home for a late dinner. We debated ordering Frank's again because last time the toppings were sparse, very little sauce, and all so unevenly distributed on the slices it looked like the cook just did not care. Tonight we ordered ham, pepperoni, mushroom and extra sauce. No ham, sparse sauce, and few mushrooms down the center. Some pieces did not have pepperoni on the upper half. We called and nicely explained we were disappointed. We asked what we paid for providing the check number only to be told she must have misunderstood the order and we would get a free pizza. No response to what we paid for only a promise of a free bad pizza? She never even asked why we were dissappointed, perhaps to better the service for the future? She did not ask for our name! We had to ask how we should refer to our "free pizza". We have been ordering and eating here for a year. The last six months or more we have been disappointed in our pizza, the spaghetti, and never have we been asked how we are doing while dining in. So based in recent reviews, the owner that cares is no longer there. The rest are either not trained, do not try, or are unable to understand. I thought the takeout pizza that I picked up the first time was a little under baked, but then I though that maybe it had steamed in the box. So I came back to give it another shot. I tried to ask for "thin and crispy" crust the last time I ordered and the guy said "all our crust is thin and crispy".
