The croissant French toast was fresh and light! The biscuits and gravy were decent, needed a little more flavor but overall great. Service is okay, you order at the counter and they bring it out. Had to ask for plates 2 times and then eventually had to walk to the counter to get myself so that was a bit disappointing. Everything else is self serve... water and silverware. Outside is smaller picnic style tables. The parking is free in the lot!
Fratelli Cafe is one of those brunch spots that checks all the boxes. The decor has that fun hipster vibe that's trendy without trying too hard, making it feel both stylish and welcoming. The food is absolutely delicious! The chilaquiles were packed with flavor and quickly became my favorite part of the meal. Pair that with a fresh-squeezed orange juice, and it was the perfect brunch combination. The menu has plenty of great options, so there's something for everyone, whether you're craving a classic breakfast or something a little different. The staff were friendly, and the service was quick. Add in the family friendly environment, and you've got a place that's perfect for meeting friends, bringing the family, or just treating yourself to a great brunch. Parking is very limited so you will have to park in the neighborhood but other than that it is a total must try spot if you're in the area.
I really wanted to like this place, especially with the location being right in the heart of Melrose and all the hype around LA food spots, but unfortunately our experience was pretty underwhelming overall. I ordered the F Burger, and while it looked promising, it lacked the savory flavor and seasoning I was expecting. It honestly tasted like a very basic burger with little personality. The patty had juices, but not that rich, flavorful, satisfying beefiness you expect from a good burger. It also wasn't very juicy or memorable. It's smashed and it's probably why. My wife ordered the avocado chicken sandwich, and sadly the chicken was extremely dry. It just wasn't enjoyable to eat. The fries that came with our meals were lukewarm by the time they reached the table, which added to the disappointment. Service-wise, the food also took longer than expected considering how simple the order was. Maybe they want all our order to come out at the same time? I don't know. The Smoothie "Rooty Tooty" wasn't even refreshingly cold. We actually had to order some ice. We visited on Mother's Day, so I understand places can get busy, and parking on Melrose is always hit or miss, but we still left feeling pretty disappointed with the overall experience. I'm giving 3 stars because the place itself has potential and the staff was fine, but the food quality just didn't match the expectations or pricing. Hopefully management takes feedback seriously because with some improvements in flavor, consistency, and food temperature, this place could be much better. Unfortunately for us, this may end up being both our first and last visit.
Incredible Place to have breakfast! French toast with strawberries, blueberries! So delicious! With side of syrup . Great Service, polite , and very helpful. Clean environment, inside seating with bright lights , decoration is outstanding! Positive vibes , great energy to have friends and family to eat . 10/10 well recommended. Will be back soon !
Enjoyed a delicious brunch here with my husband, who showed me this place. I like the casual atmosphere and cozy interior. Although we sat indoors, I noticed that there was a ton of outdoor seating available. Apparently this restaurant is super popular on weekends, so we were able to avoid any waiting by visiting on a weekday. There are very many beverage and food options on the menu, including all-day breakfast and lunch. This restaurant even offers full vegan and vegetarian substitutions as well as dairy-free and gluten-free options. Everything sounded delicious, but we ultimately ordered these 3 dishes: Crunchy Croissant French Toast: Very delicious and indulgent. A buttery croissant is used instead of a typical slice of bread, making the dish extra rich to eat. The bananas, strawberries, granola, powdered sugar, and white chocolate drizzle brought the entire thing together. I really liked the crispy outer layer and soft interior. Green Eggs & Ben: Served with a side of potatoes, this is a twist on the classic eggs benedict. The 2 soft-poached eggs were covered in a creamy hollandaise sauce. The runny egg yolks mixed very nicely with the english muffins, applewood-smoked bacon, and sautéed spinach. Crispy Fried Shrimp Tacos: My least favorite of our 3 dishes, but still tasty. There were 3 tacos stuffed with fried shrimp, cabbage, carrots, cilantro, and chipotle aioli. Because of the sauce, there was a small kick of spiciness. We had the option to pick fries or house saladon the side, in which we decided on the fries. The fries were nice and crispy.
Cute atmosphere, great food, quick service, and reasonable prices! I've been here twice and tried the Crunchy Croissant French Toast and the Chicken Club Wrap. * The croissant french toast had more of a softer french toast texture than a flaky croissant texture. I liked the fresh fruits and the crunchy granola as toppings. It was filling and a fun sweet breakfast. * The chicken club wrap was delicious and filling! It also comes with either fries or a salad on the side. The chicken was tender, the cheese was melty, and it didn't feel heavy for lunch. It tasted exactly like I expected it to. I would recommend this restaurant for an affordable and easygoing meal. There is street parking (easier to park in the neighborhoods) and indoor and outdoor seating.
Arrived on a Saturday at around 11 am. There was no wait and there was plenty of seating. We ordered the huevos rancheros, signature croissant French toast and the bacon hash. The huevos rancheros were pretty good! It didn't taste too greasy/heavy and had a nice balance of flavors. The bacon hash was mediocre. I wasn't sure what I was expecting but it just tasted like bacon, eggs and veggies mixed together. There wasn't anything that stood out about that dish. Lastly, the signature croissant French toast was delightful! I thought it was an interesting concept and it tasted yummy! Kind of reminded me of pancakes. Would recommend ordering that if you have a sweeter palette. Service was excellent! You order with the cashier first and then they bring your food over to you. We received our food pretty quickly and the workers there were kind. Parking might be a bit difficult since it's on a busy street but we were able to find parking right next to the cafe. Not sure I'd come back since there are several other brunch spots to try but it's worth a try!
It's a very cute cafe, nice interior. It was so hard to choose what I wanted to eat but I got The Chicken croissantwich. My friend got the Smash Burger. I think my sandwich was good with the first bite however as I kept eating I realize that i wanted more flavor. I wish there was more chipotle sauce. The sweet potato fries were pretty good! Very crispy. For the smash burger, I was surprised to see that it didn't come with lettuce or tomato but peppers. For this restaurant, you would order at the front and they bring out your food to you. Very kind staff and good service. I would come again if I was in the LA area.
Of all the brunch style restaurants around LA, Fratelli is one of my go to spots. From their menu range to the high quality food, I was able to show my wife this amazing brunch spot. This spot is a "order then get seated type spot." Before arriving, I suggest getting on the Yelp waitlist if the restaurant is busy. Highly recommend this to avoid long wait times. Parking here is street parking only as they don't have a dedicated lot. There's plenty of street parking around but watch out for some metered parking. There's plenty of indoor seating but it's a bit cramped I'd say indoors, many prefer to sit outdoors as they have more outdoor seating than indoors. It's shaded which is nice to avoid the heat. Restaurant is pretty clean overall. However, there's only one restroom and it's pretty dirty in there, manageable but look out for that. As stated before, it's a order then get seated type restaurant. Water cups can be filled on the left indoors by yourself, so service aside from ordering is kind of nonexistent. Staff would still check up on you but they mostly are just doing work and wouldn't bother you and your food. Their menu is quite extensive but my wife and I ordered the Green Eggs & Ben, Crunchy Croissant French Toast, and the Crispy Fried Shrimp Tacos. All 1-2 serving type dishes but we mostly enjoyed the dishes together. -- Green Eggs & Ben -- Pretty standard to your usual benedicts at any brunch spots. Not too salty and it was perfect to share. The eggs were cooked perfectly, poached and very soft. Highly recommend -- Crunchy Croissant French Toast -- Filled with bananas, strawberries, granola, and served with white chocolate drizzle, it was the perfect dish to conclude the meal. Surprisingly, it wasn't super sweet which was a good change. Portions are huge so this is a great dish to share. The various fruits is a nice touch to the French toast and certainly adds tons of flavor, love it as a whole. -- Crispy Fried Shrimp Tacos -- Came with 3 tacos and a side of fries. I'd say, the tacos are pretty basic, a food truck taco tastes better and is cheaper. The whole taco itself is a bit dry but still fairly delicious. The side of fries is a nice touch to the dish. Very similar to fish tacos. Overall, a wonderful brunch spot, always high quality food whenever I visited, love the standard brunch options and excited to expand on their menu the next time I visit.
Came here on a Saturday for brunch and it was very lively and packed here. It's located right on Melrose Avenue, meaning parking can be difficult. Love that this place is dog friendly and has patio seating. I got the Lobos BC smoothie and the taste was delicious, but it was not blended enough. There was too many thick pieces of ice and peanuts, and it made it too hard to drink through a straw. Honestly kind of upsetting because it's not too hard to make sure a smoothie is fully blended. My friend got a chicken sandwich and it was just okay. Nothing special, and the fries were pretty basic as well. The staff were all super friendly though. I might need to try something different off the menu next time.
Ambiance - It was very chill and welcoming. Very spacious inside with patio dining. Plenty of seating especially since we arrived 30 mins before closing. Hardly anyone was there. A young boy sitting on the other side of the water station and an older woman seated against the wall waiting for her order. As well as 2 gentleman sitting at a table outside. Service - The customer service was great. No complaints. The associates were real cool, professional and knowledgeable of the menu. We were able to order at the register then grab us a table in the patio area. Our orders were ready in about 10 mins. Food - I ordered the chicken and waffle just cuz I wanted to try it out and the steak omelette for my girl. The waffle is a thick Belgian waffle with 2-3 pieces of white meat chicken depending on the cuts. Chicken pieces were thinner than expected. The steak omelette comes with square potatoes and 2 pieces of wheat bread. Everything was cool, she just expected more seasoning from the steak omelette that's all. And the OJ was really good. Tastes like fresh squeezed orange juice. We can see ourselves returning in the future. I did say I would come back one early morning for some coffee. As far as for brunch; I would like to try something else on the menu, maybe their croissants pancakes. I heard they were popular.
Absolutely delicious lunch. Good price point. Really nice chill patio. Super pleasant. The service was just ok, felt unnecessarily stern. It wasn't crowded. Our food came out very quickly and was prepared well. The Benedict with crispy potatoes was excellent. Big menu, I'd go back anytime to try more things.

This place offers both indoor and outdoor seating with the views of a busy Melrose street. There is a sign at the front to wait for the host to be seated but this doesn't make sense because you have to get up from your table to go back to the front to place your order. It would just make sense to have people order their food first and then choose their own table. The cashiers came off very weird and nobody comes to check on your table during the duration of your meal. You pay for everything when you go order your food and they still flip the screen for the tip option. The only thing I can think of that goes to tip is the person who walks you to your table. The whole system was new to me but it looks like it works for them. Anyways, the food was really good. I recommend you try the steak burrito. The reason I ordered it was because it had mushrooms and broccoli (two of my favorite vegetables) and it made the burrito delicious. The steak was also flavorful. I specifically came for the French toast crossiant and it actually worked well. The bread was a bit dry but the fruits were fresh and sweet and the syrup also helped. read more

After a long flight that started early from the east coast, we needed a good refuel Brunch. We searched and this spot, in the Melrose District, came up. A good amount of outdoor seating maybe about the same as indoor? They were semi-busy on a Wednesday morning around 10:30. We lucked out and found street parking right across the street. (2 hours free). Order at counter and food is brought out to your table. Some ordered Breakfast/some lunch. Create your own omelette with Spinach, mushrooms, goat cheese, Lox and avocado was delicious! The Wagyu Smash Burger and the New Breakfast Burrito (filled with eggs and Chorizo) didn't disappoint. We enjoyed a Cappucino and an Iced Mocha. Maybe the coolest bathroom ceiling ever. As we were wrapping up, they started to get busy for Lunch. Would imagine the weekends get busy also. Friendly and upbeat people working behind the counter. Solid Brunch spot. read more

Located in the heart of melrose this is a great brunch spot with a loaded menu. There is definitely something in the menu for everyone and the food s great quality. Seated by the hostesss and then you order at the counter and they will bring to your table. The staff were superb.The coffee was good as well ! This place was absolutely popping on Sunday afternoon. I was thankful I was able to add myself to the waitlist ahead of time. They also seem to turn tables quickly and it didn't seem like anyone was waiting too long. I personally made a big mistake by trying to order light and healthy-ish here. This is not the place to do that. By the looks of it, it's the heartier, richer, and sweeter dishes that really thrive. I'm looking forward ordering correctly next time! YAYs: Biscuits & gravy- were tasty. The gravy is chicken based which was great for me since I don't eat pork. NAYs- Bagel 'n cream cheese- pass. The bagels are nothing to write home about. May have even been store bought. I personally didn't love the cream cheese either. Smoothie- these smoothies are in the pricier side if you plan to modify with preferred ingredients, and it just didn't taste that great. It was very watery, and I'm used to a thicker mix Side of Avo and turkey sausage- Avo was ripe, turkey sausage was interesting. Not my favorite. * I still gave 4 stars cause clearly I ordered wrong. Got seated right away thanks to yelp waitlist. We were greeted by a friendly host/server and ordered at the cashier. All the staff here was welcoming and kind! Reason for the extra star! My friend and I got the Samson bagel sandwich and Chicken Croissandwich. Considering it was not busy, we waited almost 30 mins for our food. Maybe because we waited so long, we had higher expectations.. The food was just OK. I'm a big fan of lox bagel sandwich but not this one. The bagel itself was so tough and hard to chew and the potatoes weren't really seasoned. The croissandwich was better but nothing special. Might be back for another try and order popular items. Chicken Salad Sandwhich- ingredients chicken, celery, candied walnuts, apples, Cranberries lettuce tomato and onion. Outside we were greated by a QR Code and a sign wait outside until seated. Scanned we scanned the code and started to read the menu. A few minutes later we were asked inside or outside inside of course it was already 100 degrees so air conditioning is a must. He showed us our table and said orsr at the counter when your ready. I shoukd have ordered the Chicken Avo sandwich like my daughter and wife but me thinking we could try something else and share bites.. 2 Chicken Avo and 1 Chicken salad sandwiches wife went for the soup daughter and went for the fries. When I asked the girl at the counter how much onions were in the chicken salad sandwich she said not much... Smart counter waitering because your tipping ahead of your meal not knowing if your going to enjoy it or not.... So our order was complete and we sat down eagerly waiting to try our food. Both Chicken Avocados looked amazing and both said they enjoyed them buy this review is about my experience and sorry to say they fell super short. ....When I recieved my Sandwhich this what I got , Onions onions and more onions so much red onion my stomach still hurts 2 hours later... Here we're the ingredients in my sandwhich Onions X10, chicken finely chopped, mayonnaise, celery & tomato. This is what was missing chopped apples, cranberries and candied walnuts... The seasoned fries were good but can't measure there grade on French fries.. Cost $75.54 that included tip. My recommendation: Go extra light with the chopped onion and don't forget adding the candied walnuts, apples and cranberries. What pulled me away from the Chicken Avo was how refreshing the description of the chicken salad reads in the menu. Not sure how soon I will come back, but maybe I can give them a second go if I can get what the menu describes... Inside did have a different kind of vibe which seemed appealing for everyone dining inside. read more

The burrito was very filling, the juice was just what I needed, the potatoes so crispy, the croissant toast as a sweet treat, and the peanut butter smoothie was so creamy. Jason is the best server ever... banana waffle with Nutella were delicious, Bacon Hash skillet is the best thing ever on Menu, chorizo burrito salty but good, chicken wrap was delicious and refreshing. Service is on spot, you order at the booth and food comes to you, their hot salsa is so good for spice lookers, ambiance is pretty hip, clean and cool. Worth coming back for kind of place. read more
Love this restaurant! Located on Melrose Ave around West Hollywood, this little restaurant is quite popular. I went around 10am, and had to wait just 10min before getting seated for a party of 2. We got a small table inside by the window (NOTE: the outside was too hot for my comfort). Once you get assigned a table by the host/server, you need to stand in-line to order the food, get a number, and then go back to your table. I got the napoleon crepe and the steak burrito and let me just say that they were delicious. The steak burrito really hit the spot! Great flavor, done medium which was a good texture and chew for a burrito I think (steak should otherwise be medium rare, IMO). The napoleon crepe was also quite good, lots of blueberry and strawberry on top, albeit a little too sweet for me, and the crepe was a little overcooked and not as soft as it should've been; but if you like a chewy crepe then this is the stuff for you! However, the orange juice that my friend got was a little expensive for what it is, so buyer beware if you order drinks. Parking was easy to find on the street, despite the busy morning of brunch goers. Make sure to look at the signs, you have to pay at most of those street parking spots even on Sunday because of the location. Overall, great food, solid burrito, efficient service/friendly servers, space a little small but cozy enough, and parking was not too bad. Would go back if I'm in the area! Definitely worth a try if you haven't been, and worth a second try if you didn't like it the first time. Solid brunch place. read more

I recently had delivery from Fratelli Cafe and zero complaints! Everything was packed up nicely and promptly for me. I ordered a breakfast burrito and it had the perfect balance of egg, cheese and bacon on it. I did need to add a little sauce to spice it up but it was delicious! Good sized portion, price wasn't bad, plus it came with breakfast potatoes. Plus when I ordered, they were doing BOGO - um a deal!? I'm in~!!! Excellent cafe. Beautifully structured corner spot that seems like a converted garage. Lots of natural light for their indoor tables and plenty of shade for their outdoor tables as well... Standing outside in the sun for the servers to come grab you for a seat is a bit unorthodox but luckily we didn't have to wait more than a couple minutes for an indoor table on a Thursday morning. The service here was very quick and friendly. I liked their menu and decided to try their shakshuka, my sister ordered the chocolate crepe and we had a couple sides and a honey latte. Everything came out rapid! The bacon was so sweet and pleasantly salty. Cooked to perfection according to my preference (not overly crisp) i liked the shakshuka as well. Giant portion served in a mini skillet and a heart shaped bread slice split in 2. My sister liked their crepe, nice presentation and very good/sweet plump strawberries topped the crepe. We enjoyed our meal a lot! The honey latte was delicious as well, nice sweet flavor and good jolt of espresso to start the day. Cute cafe :-) read more
Came on Sunday morning for brunch. Joined the waitlist on Yelp then checked in when I arrived. Didn't have to wait too long. Scan the QR code outside and get seated. After getting seated, we looked through the menu then got in line to order the food. (You won't lose your table). Ordered Smokey Ben, Sweet & Savory, vanilla latte, and caramel latte. The coffee was not good. The coffee tasted pretty burnt which is disappointing. Friend and I both took a few sips but didn't finish them. I really didn't want to get in line again to ask someone remake them. The food was decent and I like the range of options on their menu. But I don't live that close to this place so I wouldn't make it out here again for this spot. A con of the place is that they only has one restroom. 3 other people in front of me left the line. I waited in line for about 5-10 minutes and decided to leave. There was a line of 5 other people after me. There's not a lot of space in the restaurant for people to line up so they were standing between tables. Wasn't the restaurant's fault for the line but it is an inconvenience. read more

The food is sooooo delicious, I see why they stay busy all the time. Great spot, right on the corner of Melrose, near labrea. We had croissant French toast which was Devine; light and fluffy and they give you a lot of mixed berries on top , delish! Pancakes were so good and fluffy. breakfast is served. We were on searching for an alternative breakfast place since our first choice was a major fail...and slight disappointment. Thanks to the Yelp app for helping us find this gem of a restaurant. NOTES 1. Parking is street....unsure if there's a dedicated lot. We found street parking fairly easily. 2. One of the staff will seat your party, please follow the instructions on the signage posted. 3. Indoor and outdoor seating available. The staff will seat you at a table, BUT one must get in line (please follow the signage on where the line begins) to place an order(s). FOOD / DRINK We were quite famished, so really everything on the menu looked very appetizing honestly. I eventually chose the Huervos Rancheros, while my friend chose the California omelette. Coffee was our drink of choice....of course. I slightly regretted my choice when I realized that perhaps the might be too spicy. I was greatly mistaken. I enjoyed the dish very much, and found the portion size just right for me. My friend also enjoyed his food, as evidenced by its near disappearance from his plate. SERVICE I appreciated the staff checked on us periodically to see how we were doing, and for coffee refills (thankfully). They were all friendly and personable. I appreciated the owner/manager bidding us a good day as we rose from our table. BOTTOM LINE A positive first-time visit at Fratelli Cafe. Came here for brunch on a Sunday! It was busy but the wait was not long at all! I got the streak hash and it was super good, very creamy and meat cooked well. We also had the chilaquiles, it comes with hash brown as well I had an iced coffee with my meal. Their service was attentive and quick, you get seated but order at a kiosk which is strange but hey works for them! It's very busy in there, but it is inside and outside which ever you prefer. Since I moved to LA, Fratelli had been my favorite cafe in the Hollywood area. This is the spot where I always take visitors and guests. Why? Because it's that good. Ambience is beautiful. Small and quaint in the inside with hanging vines and plants. Outdoor seating for the ones who like a bit of fresh air and people watching while dining. You place your order at the counter and the waiters will bring you the food to your table. Pretty simple. Must try: the signature lattes, the croissant French toast, and the breakfast sandwiches! Trust me--you won't be disappointed. read more

Hi! We have vegan chicken, vegan cheese and a ton of veggie options in every category. Our most popular is tofu scramble. :)

Hi! It’s only first come first serve. Try our waitlist via yelp though. It’s not a reservation though.

What is the maximum amount of people you can take in for a party on a weekday?
Hi! We typically can only do 6 per table the most. It all depends on timing as well. If you can come in early, we would be glad to accommodate more than that.
Sunday brunch: can I make reservations for a party of four?
In our experience, you are better off calling ahead. They are prompt to answer the phone and will let you know if they are taking reservations ahead. In our case they were so busy that we had to put our name there when we arrived and be at the booth… Read more

Hi! Yes we are. We have tons of options. The only thing we can’t make vegan is our sweet stuff like pancakes etc...

Hi! Yes we can. Our limit is 6 so you’re good :)

You can purchase a bottle of champagne with orange juice for about $20-23
Can you take a party of 6 on weekends for patio dine-in service at this time?
Hi! We can. Just before 10 only. After that we only do parties of 4 as we have very very limited seating due to COVID
