    Cheese Ravioli

This is one of the first times I've been to this place. I enjoyed the atmosphere, I don't know if we came on a slow day or what but it was just us and one or two other tables. Our server was really nice and in the end we were given a small piece of cheesecake with caramel to share with the table. I had ordered the cheese ravioli, and honestly, I had looked at the menu (not noticing it was outdated) and was devastated to learn they didn't offer manicotti anymore. The meal itself was alright, I just wish I would have gotten something a little more flavorful.

Absolutely delicious! The service was amazing. We had the Calamari al- appetizer, the Chicken Marsala and Lobster Ravioli as our meal.

Amazing food and the service was 5 stars. Thanks for a great date night. We had calamari as an app and chicken Marsala and lobster ravioli for our entree.

Fratelli's large Sausage and Mushroom pizza missing the sausage

Three strikes and you are out!!! I ordered a large pizza with sausage and Mushrooms out carry out in the restaurant on Wax in central. Hot Pizza came out boxed and drove home to find a Pepperoni and Mushroom. I took it back as I do not like greasy pizza. They remade it and I checked and saw a very uncooked pizza in the box so I asked to please cook it. This pizza looked so white and undercooked . Third time pizza came out I looked and went home to easy a mushroom pizza without sausage. Tired of driving back and forth trying to get what I ordered. I guess this is just a three strikes and I am never to return restaurant.

Stopped in for dinner. Had high hopes. Staff was so sweet and their service was prompt. Strip mall restaurant. Food was average or less - wine was served at room temperature as in Italy; however, this is outside of Baton Rouge, Louisiana - not Italy. The veal in the veal piccata was tough. The table knife given to cut it could not have mastered the task in its dreams. The sauce lacked depth and was thin. The pasta was cooked well though. Skip the focaccia bread as well. It's just mozzarella melted on bread with unripened, flavorless tomatoes. Maybe I ordered poorly, but there should be no poor items on a menu. Especially, not for the price of the veal dish they are charging. Lots of kids running around. Disappointing.

I found Fratelli's this weekend when I was looking for a new place to eat truly good food. I was very happy with my dining experience. It's a small but quiet little gem of a place with booths and tables and a bar. Kind of old fashioned on the inside, quiet and welcoming. I ordered the cheese ravioli with sweet tea and rolls. Then asked for a slice of their lemon cake. It was all very very good and my waiter was really wonderful. The service was perfect. He let me sit in a booth even though I was dining solo too. I will definitely be back to try some of the other dishes on their menu.

Pictures of the pizza in previous reviews caught my eye and looked outstanding, so I paid a visit. Seems to be The Real Deal Holyfield Italian spot, plenty wine choices on the shelves. Some decor around the small restaurant, plenty of booths and some tables. Music playing in the background, don't remember a TV. They had a woman serving us that was real nice and a man serving a different table that looked like he may have been the owner. A woman did walk in with a small dog on a leash and he asked for a card, I guess for proof of the dog being a service animal...she was asked to leave when she didn't provide that card. They start you off with the complimentary bread knots which are good but kinda lack taste. Some dipping oil on the side pictured. My dad went ahead with the shrimp and crawfish fettuccine and he said it was really good, and it sure did smell amazing. I went with the supreme pizza and it was also very good. I personally would enjoy a meat lovers pizza over the supreme but by no means does that say anything bad about the supreme pizza. The total was $88 for a medium pizza, 2 other entrees, and a piece of cake to go, and 3 drinks of course. Thinking about it now I guess it is a little pricey but not too bad being we enjoyed it as much as we did. I'd recommend this spot if you're looking for any Italian dish

Chocolate pie (I forget the name) rich, thick & delicious but dare I say the lemon cake (no pics) is even better!

What we ordered was pretty good but the building is a little ran down. Overall that's not a real issue for me but this might not be the place to bring a Valentines date. I'll definitely go back and try them again. The fresh bread was great but the chicken parm poboy & lemon cake were superb!!! As far as service goes everyone was polite & attentive. Overall this lil hole in the wall is worth checking out.

We went to fratelli's for supper tonight and we were seated right away. Between the four of us we ordered a pepperoni pizza, chicken Alfredo, seafood 3 which is shrimp, mussels and clams over pasta with a cream Alfredo sauce and lasagna. The pepperoni pizza was the best I've tasted, it's handmade crust OMG YOUVE GOTTA TASTE IT. The pastas were all 3 made from scratch pasta and sauces. The seafood 3 elwas loaded with fresh seafood. They also brought out fresh hot rolls and a olive oil and her dipping sauce and fresh butter for the rolls. Our waiter kept our glasses full and the owner came by the table to make sure we liked everything but what's not to love at Fratelli's everything is amazing including the desserts, we had lemoncello cake and it was Devine...

Not sure why we never tried this place sooner. Both times we have ordered takeout, the food has been great. This most recent order we just ordered a large pepperoni pizza and 2 side caesar salads. Pretty good pizza and the salad dressing had a hint of sweetness but very good. The first time we ordered takeout, my husband and I both got the chicken parmesan but we could've shared a plate, the serving size was huge! Very good food and one day we will make it inside to eat. Nice to have this option in the Central area.

I started off with that melt in your mouth Caesar carpaccio (raw ribeye but make it fancy) and those crispy crab arancini with the rich smoked tomato hollandaise; straight flavor bombs. For the main, the squid ink spaghetti with shrimp + jalapeño pesto was DIFFERENT in the best way! And that veal milanese over red wine risotto? Crispy, tender, and packed with flavor every bite. Dessert sealed the deal! King Cake panna cotta with orange curd was smooth, creamy, and perfect for Mardi Gras season. Plus that mascarpone cheesecake was light, rich, and straight dangerous. $62 for this whole experience during Restaurant Week is a STEAL! They had a vegetarian menu - which had a variety of pasta options. In addition to the vegetarian menu, other items like salads on their regular menu are vegetarian as well. Then the vegetarian baked ziti - of good size and definitely shareable, I ended up bringing a box home, also delicious. Their wine and cocktails list was pretty extensive as well. Ample free onsite parking. Whether you're looking for the perfect date night spot, girls nice dinner spot, or elevated family dinner - this is the place. 12/10!!!

The ambiance was nice and quiet, with dim lighting for a more intimate vibe. For appetizers, we ordered the crabmeat cheesecake and calamari. Both were good, but the crabmeat cheesecake was AMAZING! I think the sauce for the calamari could use some improvements as it tasted a little too light for pairing. They offered complimentary bread service, and the olive oil/ balsamic mixture had tons of freshly grated cheese which tasted amazing compared to other places. For drinks, we both got bloody mary's, but mine was so stiff that it tasted like a double compared to my partner's.. They also didn't do the spiced rim and were out of pickled green beans. The drink experience was quite disappointing overall, so my partner finished it for me, and he agreed mine tasted like straight up alcohol. We decided on the 16 oz. ribeye and Rufino's bolognese for our mains, and upon arrival, I was EXTREMELY disappointed to see that they served the bolognese with rigatoni instead of tagliatelle. The pasta was also served warm, not hot like the roasted potatoes which was weird. Looking back at the menu, I regretfully did not read the entire description because it's bolognese and I expected the traditional pasta to be used in it. The pasta sauce was still delicious as well as the steak, but the roasted potatoes tasted so strongly of peanuts so I wasn't a fan at all. We noticed that they offered complimentary cotton candy for dessert, but we decided to splurge on the crème brûlée and it was so yummy! Overall, I would come back, but I would not get the calamari or the bolognese again. The service was friendly while still keeping things professional, but it definitely slowed down a lot once we received our entrees.
