I hate giving bad reviews, but what I hate even more is horrible customer service. It's sad when a waitress can't multi task or evenly distribute their time between tables. We spent almost 2 hours in Fratelli's with water that was never refilled, had to wait 30 minutes each time we requested anything (straws, bread, check, to go containers). I mean it was ridiculous. I actually ordered the Salmon Michelle and a pepperoni large pizza for the kids. But they brought the Salmon out with fettuccine instead of mashed potatoes. At that point I'd already waited forever on it and I knew it would be another eternity so I just cancelled it and had a slice of the pizza. The pizza was good. Large slices but nothing special if you'd had real pizza. It was like a slice at Johnny's pizza. I tasted the Salmon that hubby ordered and it was cooked nicely with jumbo shrimp and some smaller pieces as well. The sauce was more like an Alfredo with spinach so it wasn't bad. Garlic knots were buttery and warm, but hard on the bottom. Like they needed a little less time in the oven. If you're dining in note...the service ruined the entire experience for me. I mean to the point that I wouldn't return. Not all factors are the servers fault...I get it. But have enough decency to apologize to paying customers that have been more than patient and nice. Nice local pizzera I didn't sit and eat I got my food to go. I got the fried ravioli the cheesy garlic knots, the 14 inch buffalo chicken pizza and the spicy fried fish Poboy. The service was pretty fast it was ready to go by the time I got there from Decatur. The fried ravioli was OK. I didn't really have too much flavor to it. It came with marinara sauce so that added a little bit of flavor. It wasn't too bad The end was kinda crispy while the middle was soft, so it was kind of difficult to chew the ends. The cheesy garlic knots were pretty OK as well. The pizza didn't taste too bad not really what I was expecting, but it tasted OK taste like buffalo chicken. It wasn't too spicy the fry fish. Poboy was a little disappointing, the fish wasn't as crispy as I would like and the creamy, Cajun aïoli sauce was so watery. So I'm a first-timer and this restaurant already doesn't have a good look for me. I ordered a linguine dish with chicken and shrimp added. I get home and there's no meat. I call and explain the issue. I get back up there and the same girl that took my order initially says, "that will be an additional $14." Uuummmaren't you the ones that made the mistake in the first place? Since I wasn't charged for it the first time, I begrudgingly paid even though I drove all the way back there for a mistake YOU made. To make matters worse, I tip her $3 when I paid the first time!!! The cashier said that they don't mix the chicken and shrimp with the pasta and I would have to do it myself. Went for a quick lunch special as I was running errands and ordered the 1 slice 1 topping pizza and caesarvsalad. I called ahead and was told 15 minutes for readiness. These guys were my Friday go to when they were down by 78 and Highpoint. Had them again for the first time in years due to COVID. Pizza was just as good as I remembered, NY style, great sweet sauce that isn't overdone with sweetness, and a great handmade dough. Delivery was earlier than posted which was awesome, unfortunately the pizza was cold. Can only blame that on third party delivery service I guess, but super bummed that it wasn't even warm. Yep! Just like the other reviews says about this place that started out so great and I had I hopes for! No glove wearing, no hair covering, but hair pulled back if that counts and will tell you a time to pick up that's off when you get there. I went to a different place today and loved to see them with their hands in gloves. They are in a new location now and I started going back and giving them my business, first few times things were great food was good and so was the service. How ever that was short lived. The owner is a jerk! I have watched how he interact with his customers and he picks and chooses who gets great customer service who gets average service and who gets poor service. I Ordered a piZza by phone but when I picked it up it was not made right. I asked for a refund he gave it to me but without sarcasm and subtle comments. If I was any of or looked like the customers he chooses to give great customer service to, that pizza would have been unacceptable. I'm convinced that this man is racist! He lost a very loyal customer tonight but he doesn't care. read more
