Although he read the reviews, we really enjoyed going to Fratello's . We had their Square sliced pizza - we enjoyed the first slice so much that we got seconds. We enjoyed person making the pizzas as well as a young man. Is Co-op with his dad at the front. They were very polite and helpful. We would highly recommend stopping if you're driving up the Taconic at exit 38 to visit this pizza spot.. it looks like they have lots of other things on the menu although we didn't get a chance to try them this time. My and my family went there for lunch. After finishing lunch my daughter helped me clean up. So as she was walking to the garage she dropped a small container of sauce on the floor. The prices are now ridiculous and the main owners are very rude. Most of the workers are nice but there are too many good pizzerias around. Our friend ordered a chicken bacon ranch and cheese pizza. Food was good, decent amount; Took a little long to get my food, but I was on a short time schedule (that's on me, not them). Biggest complaint was that a couple people working in the kitchen weren't wearing face masks. The restaurant had signs advising customers to wear masks, most of the staff were wearing masks, but some of the main kitchen guys weren't wearing masks - seems like it should be one of the more important areas to be following CDC guidelines during a pandemic. read more

I got the Mozzarella, Basil, and Tomato salad and it was subpar to say the VERY least. I ate it solely because I paid nearly 8 dollars for it. It was THINLY sliced sandwich style mozzarella with some tomatoes and an uncut basil plant in the middle. The plate they gave me was dirty on the bottom, but I honestly didn't expect anything less from this place. I attempted to sit next to the window to eat but I was attacked by baby flies. Yuck... He States that for "this time" he will give it to me. "For this time"???? They need to adjust their online menu prices, he was acting as if he was doing me a favor. I wouldn't go out of my way to get their pizza. It's ok, but nothing worth raving about. Aside from the ok pizza, I ordered a coffee for my mother. After being told "It's there" (dusty Keurig) I said it's not working. Man came over, pulled out counter and discovered it wasn't plugged in. It wouldn't initially turn on, but eventually did. Then he got water and it wasn't warming up. I finally said just forget it and how much was the coffee (I paid online already). He was quite rude, and after an exchange of him feeling it was no big deal that it was just a dollar, which it was $1.50, but that's beside the point, I eventually left. Delicious pizza, not far from the Taconic Parkway. A great place to stop midway from NYC to the Berkshires. There were nine varieties of slices that looked freshly made. I had a wheat slice with vegetables which was delicious; my son had a sicilian slice which he said was good but nothing special. Oftentimes when I am traveling between Albany and Long Island, I take the Taconic State Parkway between the two locations. I tend to stop in Lagrange or East Fishkill as this is usually where there is the best selection of places to stop, get gas if necessary, stretch my legs and grab a bite to eat. The Route 55 exit seems to be where I usually take my break, and it was dinner time when I stopped at Giacomo's for some pizza. The food was decent, tasted good and there were a number of different options. I decided to have a couple of slices of square pizza, since it looked tasty, and it was. The price though, was a bit more expensive than what I was expecting. I may give Giacomo's another try based on the quality and taste of the food, but I may look elsewhere first for the food itself. read more

Rude as can be. I went into this place to get a couple of slices with my daughter. We stood there at the counter, along with 2 other customers, for at least 5 minutes and not one of the 4 people behind the counter acknowledged us before I got angry and walked out. They were too busy yelling back and forth in Spanish about a phone order. I can understand if you're busy, but an acknowledgement of the people who are standing there would've been nice. We love Fratellos buffalo chicken pizza! It is honestly the best we have ever had. The only issue is there seems to almost always be miscommunication on the phone. Even if you specify "round" you'll end up with the gourmet buffalo chicken pizza, which isn't the same because 1) the price is more expensive for the gourmet and 2) the gourmet has celery (I hate celery!). Other than the miscommunication, the service is generally pleasant. read more

Owner is extremely rude and when confronted he is belligerent. We will never do business with them again and recommend no one else does either.
