Had to have it made twice since the first version was not up to standard. I get the concept but even hipsters in California get the pizza right. I had better pizza at the mall. YES! I love everything about Freak Bro's Pizza! I tried for the first time last night at Churchill. For one, I love that they offer vegan options - MANY THANKS! I also love that they use organic quality products, for their crust they use organic flour, their tomato sauce is made from tomatoes grown in Italy. IT... DOESN'T... GET... BETTER... THAN... THAT...!!! Also, they offer Follow Your Heart Ranch, which is a vegan ranch that is also non-gmo verified. AND... and... they also have hummus, which is homemade AND amazing. In a city known for having so many pizza places another one just opened. We stopped by here last Friday night after a night of drinking we wanted to grab a pizza to go and as we were at The Churchill we decided we'd try Freak Brothers. The employees were friendly, and noticing we were in a rush (waiting for our uber) they said they'd have it out quickly to us. They made our pizza entirely from scratch which was a cool experience to witness since you can watch them make it right in front of your eyes. And true to their word, we got our pizza within 5-8 minutes of placing our order! We got the Margherita, and once we got home we tried it and it was okay. Not the best pizza I've had, not the worst, just ok. For the amount of pizza we got and the price we paid, it's overpriced in my opinion. It's definitely a personal size pizza unless you're not very hungry and only want a slice to share. I do appreciate that they have vegan options, I know that's not always available around here but since I'm not vegan I don't intent to go out of my way to eat here. They do have some interesting flavors on their menu, if I find myself in the area and craving pizza I might come back to try their sriracha chicken. read more

This pizza place is alright, considering you're also paying for the atmosphere and the hip-vibe in this cafeteria construct. It's located inside a small block w/ several other food/drink services. Good place to chill w/ some alcoholic beverages. I was there on a Friday afternoon (6pm) and music was blasting pretty loud, so I wouldn't recommend the place for actual conversation. As for Freak Brothers Pizza, it's an entertaining thought. They have some very interesting options, creative and unique. Some good options if you're vegetarian, gluten free, vegan.. whatever it may be, so that's very considerate and nice. Not too many meat options. I do like that they text you when your pizza is ready- that's pretty cool. I ordered a La Miabella ($12), which had dried kale, those tiny (cherry?) tomatoes, half-sliced olives topped w/ almonds and balsamic sauce drizzle. Thin crust - awesome! I overall enjoyed it as the flavors worked well together. I will say, however, that portion isn't sizable for what you pay. It's a small pizza that I finished in 1 sitting (and I usually don't eat a lot..) As a comparison to other pizza places w/ similar pricing (such as Pizza Studio or Blaze), it's almost the same size - HOWEVER. These other places are cheaper and they allow customization of whatever toppings you want. But again, here you're paying for the atmosphere as well. Overall, if I was looking to really enjoy good pizza, I'd look elsewhere. But if I was to have relaxing time, music, enjoy some food, then Freak Brothers is pretty decent for that. read more

OMG! My friend and I were on our way to the Convergence Festival at Arcosanti and stopped by Freak Brothers. I am gluten free and the Mia Bella pizza was the Bomb! The crust was tasty--crispy outside--chewy inside and the toppings were unique and made my mouth do a happy dance with each bite. It was so good we made sure to stop by on our way back. The service were very friendly and attentive. They even created a half and half pizza for me because I couldn't decide on the artichoke spinach or the miabella the first time around. Went to donut festival and when it was my turn to order, gal comes out and says there are closing up and taking a 15 minute break. I had already waited in line for 20 minutes. Is this the customer service you provide in your store as well? The donut festival was only 4 hours. If your employees can't work more than two hours at a time maybe you should have scheduled shifts? I heard festival was sold out...you would think that fact would have clued you in that you would be busy. My only impression of you was that festival. If I could give this place negative 10 stars I would. This place almost killed my sister. She told them multiple times that she has a nut allergy as a food precaution like she always does and they failed to tell her the pizza she ordered had cashew milk cheese. Her throat closed up, her face puffed up, she couldn't breathe, she vomited, had to be stabbed with an Epipen. They are definitely personal size or maybe even split one as an appetizer. Unfortunately, I did not receive the extra cheese I paid for, the pepperoni lacked spices, and the sausage looked and tasted like a smaller version of what Pizza Hut uses on their pizzas. read more
