I got stuck in traffic and ended up driving 1.5 hours just to get there only to be told that the salesperson assigned to me is missing! Anyway, I see 5-6 other salesmen standing around doing nothing so I asked one of them to help me with my purchase. They said they can't help me, need to find Jimmy. I told them I had to leave and then an old salesman came to help. While he was helping me, I could hear someone holler 'we found Jimmy'! Ok great, he didn't look too happy to see me. Anyway, he shook my hand and then told me to wait another few minutes because he's servicing another customer. I was like, I'm done waiting!! I was looking for 2 new cars, one leased (company car) and to buy the other one, contacted the internet sales department, I was very straight forward about what I was looking for, they asked me for credit score and my "dream deal", I am above 800 credit score so I ask for my "dream deal"....... never heard back from them, I even tried to contact them to be sure that they got my email with the requested information, one week later I got an automated email from them asking me if I was still in the market, I wrote back explaining the situation........silence. Fred Hass Toyota must certainly is making a lot of money and I am happy for them, I rather deal with the small and more "hungry" dealerships around. read more

Here's the deal. For two days my driver side car door lock would not stay locked after exiting the vehicle. Then after those two days it started to work again. I'm afraid it could break again at any point in time, and my warranty expires in 500 miles. I brought it in to have that part replaced (the actuator) because it is covered in my platinum warranty. I explained the situation and told them I just want the part replaced. After being shuttled to and from work I come back to find they couldn't recreate the issue and charged me for a diagnostic fee. Which I'm very upset about because I didn't not want a check up, I wanted it replaced because it WILL fail eventually. And with my luck it will fail after the warranty. They basically told me that the warranty people denied waiving the diagnostic so I had to pay. So I did, and gave the warranty people a call. The first gentleman said there was nothing y'all could do. So I sat in the parking lot and made it do the weird stuff it was doing. And took TWO videos of it. I offered to show the manager on duty and he said there is nothing they can do but to open a claim with the warranty people. I gave the warranty people a second call, and the second gentleman was much more accommodating and explained that they are probably just giving me the runaround and that the DEALERSHIP has to open the claim. So here I am, door is still acting funny, and I'm out 150 bucks and my car payment is due tomorrow. My final conversation with the manager was that they opened a claim and that got denied, AFTER he told me that I, myself had to call and open a claim. I don't understand why nobody can just give me a straight forward answer. All I ask is for reiumbursement of the fee and to fix the part. but NOOOOO, after the $2,000 dollars extra I spent to warranty my vehicle is completely wasted and I ended up paying more in the end. Thanks a lot Toyota. I referred two people that have bought vehicles also, never got my referral checks. Will never buy from here or refer anybody ever again unless this issue gets resolved. I flooded my car early December and turned out it was repairable so I got it towed to Toyota to be fixed. Thanks to my insurance I got a rental. For weeks the dealership told me they didn't have my car as I was trying to get the ball rolling and figure out what all was going to be fixed. Finally my car was found right before Christmas Then the axel they got in was beat up so they had to order a new one which I'm grateful for but I finally get my car back after 39 days only to have my door locks still not work. I immediately call up there the next day and was told Raymond wasn't in until Monday but John James would be able to help me at one on Saturday. I show up to him not even working that day and then was passed over to a guy named Joe in the service department. Joe basically told me I needed to go to the collision department back to Raymond basically... I'm a single mom and to manually unlock and lock my car is not the safest these days. I came in wanting to test drive just 2 models. A old Mexican guy was told to help me in the new car section since I came from the pre owned parking lot with a pre owned rep. Ok, that's fine. he just asked which model do I like out of two. I said I don't know that's why I want to test drive both to feel the cars. He asked again which one do you want to see more? I said I don't know one more time. Then he changed the question to which one I want to see first, I said either one. Then he said which one? I felt like he just gonna make me pick one. I said ok the white Prius it's right in front. He made me walk out pick a color even though I said white. Assumed he didn't hear me I repeated the white one. Tried to turn one the Prius, didn't work, battery is out. Tested another one next to it, battery didn't work either. He said I don't know what to tell you, he then said if you are really interested then I can have people come and jump start it. I asked if there is any other working Prius around? He said yes but ignored answering it, then said: if you are really interested I can have it jumped start to test drive. I was like, man, am I supposed to say: "yes please my Lord, I have been dreaming about Prius so please let me touch it" ? Then I said to if I can test drive he RAV4 he made me walk all he way out here, pick a color to test drive, even when I asked him if he had the key to the RAV4 before we walked out there, he ignored. I was so annoyed and say thank you I'm done, while I was walking away, he yelled: I was trying to help. Help me? You meant help me to help you make money? Then nah I don't need help. Same experience with Joe Moyers Toyota on 249, so it makes me think this is the Toyota way of selling. I have been to Munday Chevrolet and Honda of spring, I was treated like human, or an extra human. They helped me to make a decision, not trying to shove the car in my mouth and rob me. I received an offer of credit from Alliance Direct Lending / Fred Haas Toyota World offering me the opportunity to explore a lower rate than I am currently paying with the option to refinance or purchase a different vehicle. On Thu. 05/22/2014 I called and spoke to a young lady at Alliance who ran me through the standard Q&A and set an appointment for me with Steven Swad at the dealership. She informed me that my credit report would be run and Steven would be ready to meet with me on Mon. 05/26/2014. Between Thu. & Mon. I called Steven twice, but only got to his voice mail, with no return calls from anyone at the dealership. Today, Mon. 05/26/2014 I went to the dealership, but Steven was not available so I was serviced by Michael and Gloria. I explained my situation and that I had completed a credit application over the phone and was at the dealership to talk specifics - new or used, purchase or lease. No one at the dealership had any idea about my credit being run and had less than acceptable answers for why that was the case. While completing the credit application again, Gloria made the comment, "That must be a nice house!", after I gave her the amount of our rent. The house I am living in rents in the middle of the current market rate for similar homes in our area. What? Am I not supposed to live in a decent house because I have less that a 900+ credit score? What possible difference could it make to her? She had no right to make a comment. After allowing myself to go through the credit review process again, I was told that nothing could be done until Tue., as Mon, is a holiday and the banks are closed. I did not feel that Michael or Gloria had any empathy for my situation or what I was attempting to accomplish. I should have gone with my gut instinct after reading the other reviews on Yelp and not bothered to apply for credit. Now my credit report has a ding on it that did not yield any positive result. I do not feel this dealership cares about people unless they have very high credit scores and/or come in with a wanted trade or cash. I recommend you shop elsewhere for a vehicle. -- Dave read more

So the salesperson insisted I meet the "salesmanager" he, I believe his name was Tony (younger bald-head white guy)came out and said the price I wanted was no where near possible, and I said it is, dealers in Houston, Dallas, and San Antonio all have the vehicle listed for the price I wanted to pay. I said I would show him the listings. He kept raising his voice saying it was impossible. He continued to disrespect me. Before I walked out he said very rudely, "The front door is that way." I have called 4 managers today and no response, not even from 1.... I purchased a used 2010 VW Eos on Friday 4/17/2010 at 6pm. I found what I wanted online, but when I called in I was told it was promised to someone else. I had spoke with Bo and explained that I really wanted this vehicle, but as I was driving from Austin, I did not want to waste anyone's time. He promised to call me by 1pm the next day and let me know either way. He never called, and I had to call him, as I am driving 4 and a half hours, I needed to make plans with another driver. Now, this could be typical of your salesman, but since I work in sales, I know that when a lead calls and sounds like a good lead, the customer should not have to call back. I understand that the driving part is not your problem, however I am explaining how everything got started and why I feel so disrespected. The car available, my driving situation all taken care of, we drive up from Austin to pick it up. When my mom and I show up to look at the Eos, which we did on our own, we found several things wrong, the drivers side door panel was falling off, the drivers seat had some electronic issues, and there was liquid in the trunk under the spare tire. When Bo was finally ready to show us the EOS and we pointed these issues out to him, his only response was "Well the door is cosmetic and we sell the car as is" and the seat issue he responded with "I didn't know the seat wasn't working, I don't know anything about these cars" Bo had the same response with the leak in the trunk. At this point, I have to ask him "Does anyone at the dealership knows anything about this car?" Bo said, no not really but he took the car into the service center to have someone look at it. Maybe he just wanted to waste my time, wear me down or make the sale. I am not sure, but I know at this point, he was acting like he did not even need to do anything to make this sale. Yes, I did my research, there are very few used EOS available. Yes, I know that the price for the mileage was great, and Bo had previously knocked down $500 because he was aware of were I was driving from. But there was very little respect for us as customers, maybe because we were women, he thought that he could do this to us. The service center said "That they could not figure out why there was liquid in the trunk, they could not work the electrical and the door was cosmetic" So despite all of the run around I recieve from your salesman and service center, I go ahead and purchase the vehical with the issues, every used car it has it's minure dents and digs, I still feel that purchasing from a dealership there is a certain amount of pride and ownership that goes into each vehicle you sell, so cosmetic issues I can handle. The seat is easy enough and the door can be fixed, so we wait for the car to get the lojack installed and Bo said he would let us know when it was ready, so my mom and I go have a quick cigarette, while we are outside I noticed the car was parked in front of the dealership, Bo was nowhere to be found so after 20 min of waiting we ask another salesmen if they could contact Bo, the salesmen told us the car had been ready and gave me the key's, Bo had just left without saying anything to us. I understand I purchased a VW from a Toyota dealership, but that doesn't matter, good business is good business. This was not good business. And, because of all the delays, we were forced to stay in Houston for the night, now that is a decision we made, but again, this is the experience as a whole. I return to Austin on Saturday around 1pm, a 400 mile drive up and there was no issues with the drive, with the electrical, it has seemed at this point that the whole car buying experience was terrible because of the crappy customer service we received, and not the actual car. Which I loved. On Sunday, as the bad weather had cleared up and it was sunny and gorgeous, I go for a drive in my new car, drove around town running errands and really get a feeling for this car. That night, I go out to dinner, get in my car and all of a sudden, as I am trying to put the car in reverse the car make a weird sound and won't reverse!! Then the CHECK ENGINE light comes on. I turn the car off wait a minute, when I turn the car back on it finally reverses but the check engine light stayed on. I am extremely upset that after 48 hours of having this car the check engine light comes on. Oh, and to top it off as I was leaving the dealership it started to rain, I noticed the drivers side window was leaking because the window wouldn't close... read more

When I bought my car they told me that my current lease would end and remaining fees would be included in a new lease. So the monthly lease cost seemed fair. After I signed everything and turned in my old leased car they said I would need to make two remaining lease payments even though I turned the car in. So I was without my old leased car and still had to pay and had to also.pay for the new lease. Seriously messed up. These guys will do anything and tell you anything to sell a car sooner even if it's only two months. I lost around $950 in the deal. If you are leasing make sure they do not screw you like I got screwed. read more

Communication has been horrible since the sell with Fred Haas Toyota world dropping the ball and ignoring requests since the sell. First I was suppose to send in Documents the day following the sell for the finance company. I did this first thing Tuesday morning to the email given to me by the finance manager. I received a call on Friday at 5:30 that there was a problem because I never sent in the paperwork. They had the paperwork for 4 days but I resent and moved along. Now we are going on 2 weeks and my trade in has not been paid off. Not the biggest issue in and of itself, but i have called and emailed to see if the check had been cut and if not when. I need to know If i need to make a payment, but nobody will answer my simple question. Bad business practice. read more

Previously Purchased battery for my car from a Toyota dealership. warranty expired 2 days earlier , which I understand however the establishment website Claimed since I purchased the original battery there the cost would be 60% off parts no labor charges but I was charged 50% and had to pay for the labor. I was told the exchange of batteries would be an hour... after two hours I asked when the car would be ready and I was told the car was sitting up front ready, for quite some time however no one at the customer service desk felt the need to tell me. I was told I should have been standing outside waiting for the car. The manager was asked to be seen, even after showing him the website advertisement he still refused to honor the difference in charges. I will NEVER nor will I ever recommend anyone to this place for NOTHING. Not even to for something as simple as a fuse change. The staff is horrible. read more

I was very disappointed, I usually take my car to Sterling McCall I love them, but I moved to the north side and Fred Hass is much closer so I decided to give it a try. It took 2 hours for an oil change and they came back charging me for stuff that was not really necessary. needless to say I will just drive down to Sterling McCall next time, they have never tried to up sale me and It never takes longer that 45 min for oil change or inspection. read more

I'd preface that I have purchased from the new car side before at Fred Haas Toyota and it was a great experience. I recently visited the used car side to shop for a Prius as it fits my commuting needs. Spoke with a guy named Shaw, an Indian man that was right out the box rather disrespectful and moody. I was up front and honest with him that I was looking at the Prius on their lot and another at Tejas Toyota. When he inquired about the other vehicle, three lies came out of his mouth almost immediately. He said that Tejas was an affiliated company and that the other car I was going to see was no no longer available. He continued to say it had a lower trim package and that the car had been through multiple owners and had been in an accident anyhow. He said this after I showed him my phone as if he knew exactly what car I was talking about and that he had put eyes on it last week when it was sold. After calling Tejas Toyota and going to look at the car, I know for a fact it hadn't been sold until I got there because I bought it. The Carfax said it had not been wrecked and that it had a single owner. There was only 9k mikes on it. My point is if you are going to Fred Haas Used then definitely avoid Shaw as he's a lying piece of shit that will try to tell you anything including lies to try to get a sale. read more

3+ hour wait. Got here at 9 and it's already past lunch time! They have free coffee and Fountain drinks but that's it. No vending machines or other food. Toyota dealerships usually have free donuts or popcorn but not this one. I also tried walking to Golden Corral and Taco Cabana but there was no sidewalk or an easy way to walk to get food. Guess I'm going to wait another 3 hours like the 30 people who are also waiting... Update: After waiting for 4 hours, the service desk called me to tell me they didn't have the part. read more

People from this dealer are a bunch of liars who are trying to make an extra buck, customer service and business ethics be damned. From the salesman to the sales director to the general manager, all of whom can not be trusted. Ive gotta a written quote from the dealer but did not agree on the price and so i decided to pay the dealer a visit to check out the car before agree on the dealer asking price. This was for a used car so i wanted to make sure that the condition justify the asking price. So i called the salesman to let him know that i am on my way, only to be told that the car was sold 15 minutes later, while im sitting at the dealer parking lot. I could not believe they could have sold the car that quickly. So the next day, i checked their website, and the asking price for the car increased by $2000 ($3000 over the quoted price). My sister and i called in and checked out the car that day, the car was still available. We went to see the sales director and the general manager about the issue, basically " WTF?? Why did yall lie and not honoring the quoted price". The sales director was extremely rude and was not helpful at all. So we escalated this issue to the general manager (Nate). We were told that "the car was sold but if you can buy it at the asking price". WTF ? So apparently they didn't want to sell us the car at the quoted price and lied that the car was sold. The car is still sitting in their lot at the time of this review. I would have appreciate it if they could just say that they have misquoted and could not honor the lower price instead of being lied to after i wasted my time driving to the dealer. I was told over the phone that a part I was enquiring about was on recall, so I scheduled an appointment to have it replaced. I come in to find out that I was lied to about said recall, but there was a different recall on it. I'm then asked if I want to pay $130 for them to run a diagnostic on my car. Seriously? You're gonna charge $130 to pull codes, pop my hood and double check. No thanks. They offer a free shuttle service for when your car is going to take some time, but they offer it to so many people that I have been here for over an hour waiting for a ride back to my own house. This dealership obviously operates on the "get them in and sell them when they get here" philosophy, which is shitty. If you're with this dealership and you're reading this, what you're doing is repulsive. I genuinely hope this dealership goes out of business soon. read more

We have gone to so many dealerships but the Fred Haas system is the worse We got the run around at both country and world, world was awful the sales person for one Bogarded another sales person who was approaching us claiming we were his customers, we were not, never laid eyes on this guy. Couldn't understand his name he mumbled, next we tell him what we are looking for. I advise had spoken to a manager but couldn't remember their names he just kept insisting I remember kEpt throwing out names. Finally I just told him to stop. He copped an attitude, then my spouse found something he liked and at this point the salesman was like it is out of your pricee range and we don't Hagle our price is our price period not discussion. He never invites us in to go over numbers or to talk about anything , so unprofessional.
