You would think being a loyal customer and buying over 5 cars with the family would at least give you good customer service. The only things I got was bad service, a damaged vehicle and being gaslighted. I went in for a fuel pump recall, routine oil change and to recalibrate the sensors from a recent accident. I had barely gotten the car back from the shop on 10/28 and installed the front diffuser that night. (Picture Evidence) 10/29 I come in at 7:50 AM and check in for the service. I do my usual walk around the car and decided to take pictures of the New Front Lip I had barely installed. (Picture Evidence) 9:11 AM Joe Woods calls me to his desk and tells me the sensor is not in the right place to recalibrate it. I call my body shop and see what we should do, he wanted to talk to Joe and work out a deal on getting the sensor in the right place and billing him but Joe adamantly refused to talk to my body shop guy and didn't want to help me at all. He only gave two options which was take it to the body shop next door or take it back to my guy to install a simple sensor. I just tell him to forget about it since I decided I will bring it back to my body shop guy because I did not feel comfortable there after the customer service I was just provided I was standing at the glass window watching him finish up my car and pull out of the bay. When he turned the car back on, the air management system went back to the preset ride height. As he backed out of the bay, I watched the technician catch the arm of the lift as he was backing out because there was not enough clearance. I should have confronted him, but I trusted the technician would have said something if he had damaged my car. Since he did not say anything, I thought the car was fine since the splitter is made out from aluminum composite. I trusted the integrity of my splitter as much as I trusted the Integrity of the technician. My car was finished at around 12:20 PM and so went back home. When I got home at around 1:10 PM, I inspected my car and notice the SPLITTER WAS DAMAGED AND BENT. I called the dealership at around 1:50 PM but Joe missed my call. When he called me back around 2:48 PM, he then says it is too late to bring it in, but to bring it back tomorrow. I told him I can bring it after work around 5 PM which he was ok with. When I called him the following day around 5 PM to tell him I'm on the way, I received notice that he was already gone. He then proceeds to dodge me the rest of the week and weekend as I continue reaching out to him. I was able to get in touch with him on Tuesday, November 3rdand told him I would bring the car in on November 4th for him to check it out and he agreed to do so after lunch. (1 PM) I arrived at 3:30 PM to try and talk to Joe about what happened, but instead of listening, he grabs the boss, Connie, and they come outside to look at the damages. She tries to gaslight me and says, "How do we know you did not hit something on the way home?" She then starts inspecting the splitter and immediately points at the small rock scratch and says, "looks like something went in between here" but the lip that was attached to it was not damaged or bent. I tried to get her to feel the bottom of the splitter to show her where it was damaged when the arm of the lift caught the diffuser, but she refused to inspect it anymore. We agree to have a word with the technician and talk about what happened. I told them I saw him back up and damage my car. He then lies and says that he did not damage it because he did not touch the suspension. (The reason it is damaged is BECAUSE he didn't readjust it to the height we set it to when we put it on the lift) He pretty much admits that he damaged it while lying out his teeth and saying he didn't do it. They all agreed on his story and then proceeded to tell me they are not responsible because they did not do it. I call Toyota Corporate and tell them what is happening and they Tell me to talk to Joe Salazar which is the head of the service department there The following day I get a phone call from Joe Salazar asking about my side of the story. After sending him my statement he calls me back and tells me they are not responsible for the damages and they will not be paying the damages. Contacted Corporate Toyota and they said since that dealership is not a branch from Toyota only a sole partnership they cannot help me. I just want to get the word out there that Fred Haas Toyota World on 45 In Houston Texas has no respect for your vehicle and will damage it then lie about it. Avoid this dealership at all cost! I just experience the world most RUDENESS & EXTREMELY BAD CUSTOMER SERVICES from both Services and Collision Center. Here is what had happened to me: - I brought my car to the collision shop for a rear bumper replacement due to an accident in June. When I dropped my car off, the technician name BERNARDO MARQUEZ has ensure me that he will contacts the insurance for me and have everything taken care of. With my trust to Toyota since I've had couple cars purchased from Toyota, I thought my car is in good hands with these people. The car was dropped off on the 11th of July for 3 days repair, but then I got a phone call from BERNARDO on the 12th to let me know he had found some other problems and had already requested additional payment from insurance and got that approved. He also told me that whenever the car is ready, he will call me for pick up. Then, on the 13th of July, BERNARDO called me again to let me know my car wont be ready until the 21st of July. At that time, I had questioned him about the extended rental days that I have to rent the car from Enterprise, and was ensured by him that EVERYTHING WILL BE TAKEN CARE OF, AND I'VE SHOULDNT BE WORRY ABOUT IT. Okay, that's all I've known and I did picked up my car first thing in the morning of the 21st. Walked out of there with all the paper works and was told I don't have to do or pay anything. A week later, I got several phone calls from ENTERPRISE asking me to pay for those 3 days extended on the rental. I was very surprised that I have to pay, so I told them to contact the shop, aka BERNARDO. In addition to that, my car got mess up with the closing button on the trunk. It couldn't be close automatically when I pressed the button and it just kept popping up when it touched the surface. So I contacted the shop to let them know and they told me to bring it back for them to check. When I brought it back, BERNARDO asked me to bring it back again in the morning so they have more time to look into it and still telling me that he will contacts the insurance to ask them to pay for the rental. A week gone by, I was so busy that I didn't have time to bring my car back to fix the issue, and still got phone calls from Enterprise asking me to pay. When I tried to talk to BERNARDO, he was very rude and very impolite to the point that he made me feel like I'M A LIAR & STUPID enough to not understand him. He also said that the shop is not reliable for my extended rental and that I was provided the information that MY CAR WAS READY 3 DAYS AGO, AND I HAVE AN OPTION TO PAY THEM UPFRONT TO GET MY CAR, AND THEN GET REIMBURSE BACK ONCE THEY RECEIVE THE CHECK FROM THE INSURANCE. No, he did not contacted me at all after the phone call on the 13th to let me know that my car was ready. He claimed that their policy is NOT TO RELEASE A CAR IF THEY DONT RECEIVE AN ACTUAL CHECK FROM INSURANCE. Well, as a customer, of course, I do not know this. So I've contacted the insurance myself, and they told me he requested the additional check on the 12th through email, and they responded and issued the check on the 13th and sent out on the same day. The check was sent out from SAN ANTONIO TX during regular business days, so it would have made it to them on the 15th but they claimed that they didn't received the check until the 20th and that was the reason why they kept my car that long. So now nobody wants to paid for those extra 3 days rental, and I am stuck with the amount of $100 that I have to pay. This is the most ridiculous scam I ever received from a big company like Toyota. I've put my trust to brought my car to have their service instead of other collision shop recommended by the insurance company. PLEASE STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE SINCE THEIR STAFF ARE SUCK AND REALLY RUDE TO CUSTOMERS. I HATE TO SAY THAT FROM NOW ON, NO MORE TOYOTA CARS FOR ME TO PURCHASE. read more

WARNING...CAVEAT EMPTOR...WARNING I bought a 2004 Toyota Tundra from Fred Haas Toyota World in late 2004 and have driven it for the past 14 years with only regular maintenance. The truck currently has 53,000 miles and it is in perfect condition. I have taken this truck to Fred Haas Toyota Country for maintenance instead of FHT World since FHT Country is closer to my home. FHT Country has been fantastic over the past 14 years. This is the first time I have been back to FHT World since I bought my truck, and I can assure you now I will never set foot on this dealership property again, ever. My Story: On the way out of town early on Saturday Morning 9/1/2018 I had a front wheel come off of my Tundra and I had to find a place to have it towed to get an estimate of repairs since my front fender was crunched when it fell on top of my tire. I called Fred Haas Toyota Country and they advised me that they did not have a collision center and recommended that I call the I45 location instead. My wife called FHT World and spoke with the receptionist who indicated the Collision Center was closed but I could have my truck towed to their parking lot and the collision center would look at it when they opened back up the following Tuesday. I had the truck towed to their parking lot and waited out the next 4 days for FHT World to get back to me. I received a call with the estimate of repairs at the end of the day on Tuesday 9/4. The estimate was broken into two sections; one for a new tire and new Fuel wheel and a front end alignment for a total of ~$1360. Since the Yokohama Geolander AT tire cost me $175 and the Fuel wheel cost me $204 (installed at Discount Tire where I bought them), I was being charged almost $1000 for the front end alignment. The second part of the estimate was for the fender repair which was over $1600. The total estimate was over $3000 (it ended up cost less than half that in the end from another collision repair facility). The first part of the estimate was a huge red flag as I knew the price I paid for the tire and wheel and what a front end alignment would cost at any other location. So I had my truck towed to a collision center that came highly recommended near 1960 and Cutten. But before FHT World would release my truck they required full payment for 5 days of storage at $40 per day + the $150 "miscellaneous administration fee". Total was almost $400. So I proceeded to politely escalate my concern up the chain (I haven't gotten with Gulf States or Toyota Corporate yet, but that is next). 1. Be advised of that Fred Haas Toyota World Collision will charge $40 per day to park your vehicle in their parking lot without informing you in advance. 2. Be advised that Fred Haas Toyota World Collision will charge $150 for "Miscellaneous Administrative Fee" for their "free collision estimate". 3. Be advised that the Fred Haas Toyota World Collision Center Manager (Matt) has no customer service expertise as observed by my interaction with him as a result of item 1 and item 2 above. 4. Be advised that the Fred Haas Toyota World Customer Experience Specialist (Joe Salazar) has no authority to help with the Fred Haas Toyota World Collision Center as he indicated this is a separate business outside of his influence although he was referred by Matt. 5. Be advised that the Fred Haas Toyota World GM VP (Nate Murphy) apparently does not have time in his day to return a customer's phone call (I left two polite messages) to review concerns with the Fred Haas Toyota Collision Center charges. Unfortunately there is no way to rate this dealership lower than one star. read more

I have purchased 2 trucks from Fred Haas Toyotaworld. The first was in 2007, a 2007 Tacoma double cab Prerunner. We went in at 630pm in August of 07 without a clue of what the truck cost or what exactly we wanted. At 10pm we were driving home in a brand new truck that we got for nearly $6000 below the window sticker. In December 2010, I received advertising mail from them about lowering payments etc, and I had been looking at the newer safety features of newer trucks, plus I needed more space with children. I emailed 2 dealers, one of which was Fred Haas. I told them what I wanted (VERY specifically), told them what I had, what I owed and what I was paying. Told them I would not pay anything out of pocket, nor would I accept a higher payment. They immediately replied with several trucks that fit my needs, at prices I was willing to afford and made an offer on the trade in on my truck. I had also told them i would not call or come in until i was ready to buy. I came in several days later, the salesman I worked with, Greg, was very friendly and personable, not pushy at all. We looked at several colors of the truck i wanted, and he insisted I take a test drive though I had no desire, I knew I was making a purchase. They inspected my Tacoma and offered me an additional $500 on top of their offer by email, and they came down by nearly $500 on the out the door price on the newer Tundra I was getting. Greg made the process painless, and he was followed by the finance rep who also was not pushy, and very easy going. We ended up buying extended service/warranty, got a great rate and dropped my payment by nearly $40 a month. Since then I have been back for all my service. Only have one incident of interest when i cam in for a minor service that included tore rotation. Driving home I saw something fall from the back of my truck and found a center cap for the wheel had fallen off. I called service back and explained what happened, and came in the next day. The service manager apologized to me, had a new part put on, checked the other 3 and filled up my gas tank. There was no need for me to get angry or pushy, they acknowledged the error on their part right away and resolved it in a satisfactory manner. To me that is what makes a business good, problems happen, but how they are resolved is what matters most. If I ever decide to let go of my Tundra i will be going back to Fred Haas to give them a chance to keep my business for a 3rd time. read more

There aren't enough horrible things I can say about this place. Tom Raymond was not only SEXIST and RACIST throughout the 3+ hours we interacted with him. This is the kind of person who is a MANAGER at Fred Haas. My husband and I were interested in purchasing a 2011 Honda Accord this car was going to be my car so I took the lead speaking with him. Right off the batt Tom asks me " Oh it's your car? And you're going to pay for it?" When I replied "yes sir" He laughed and walked away to take a call in the middle of our conversation. While he was on the call I placed a call to a local Firestone to see if I could get the vehicle checked out when I asked if they accepted walking on Sunday's sweet Tom asked me if I was on the phone with a nail or hair place because "that's what women do". Fast forward to when we get the car inspected and bring it back the first thing Tom says is " Oh you're back but I see you didn't get your hair done." When I replied " you know us women can do other things he said "Welll.... " and shrugged his shoulders. Then he proceeds to tell us we are wasting his time when we are trying to negotiate with him respectfully and says why don't you have a taco while you are waiting, after repeatedly telling him no thank you he asks my husband (who is noticeably darker skinned than I) " You sure you don't want a taco ... aren't you Latino" then walks away AGAIN to have a cigarette!!! When he comes back he put the icing on the whole RACIST AND SEXIST cake by telling us a sweet story which he assured us is true by the way, about his sweet Colombian wife who he met while being her landlord at some apartments. He said "One day she couldn't pay her rent and she came over to my place and we had to work out a deal" AND THEN LITERALLY WINKS AT US. What a horrible disgusting person this is now his wife of 47 years. How does this man live with himself. He is a pig who openly deemed his wife for the purpose of having a story that relates to "being Latino". I am saddened and repulsed by the absolute racist and sexist remarks this man made through out our entire visit with no provocation. You best believe this will be reposted everywhere. Astounding! Again and Again! Fred Haas Toyota World has got to be the most friendly dealership in town..hands down. I received a phone call a couple of days ago (from a real person) to let me know that it was time to get my Rav 4 serviced. I asked her what appointments were left...she responded with.."What is a good time for you?" I said, "Maybe around 10ish tomorrow, and she said, "Great we will see you tomorrow around 10ish..we laughed." I pulled up a kind lady greeted me and Kevin waived(my service guy). She told me to go ahead and leave your keys in your car...so I went in and Kevin was like ..hey Bianca! Wow! So I said I have this scratch(that I keep making somehow) inside my car...He says, " No problem we can get that fixed." I know your thinking...yeah how much did that cost? Answer....nothing... that is the way they are at Fred Haas Toyota World. I go inside this amazing "World" and sit down. I popped open my laptop and asked an employee walking by..what the wiii password was....yes it was really that easy! I sat back and wrote my lesson plans while another employee said, " Can I get you something to drink?"(I was not wearing any make-up, in sweats and looking horrible).. He brought me a bottle of water, but they have a guy who makes your drinks there for you...not adult drinks...now that would be super cool huh...nope you have to drive your car home....lol... I sat there and wrote lesson plans and then in comes Kevin and he said, "Ms. Woodruff your car is finished, detailed..yep!! and it will be brought around to you." I walked up and took out my wallet...the lady said, "Just sign your name and your done. " Free!!! yep...that is how they do it at Fred Hass Toyota world. I purchased my Rav 4 from them and they ALWAYS TO THE EXTRA MILE! ALWAYS!! I love this place...when you don't have anything to do...just walk through the doors and sit down...watch how happy the employees are and so are the customers in the waiting area...They will not put you on radar and storm over like a group of unfed dogs! You can just sit and people watch...but I bet you end up purchasing a car from them and saying the same thing as I did above. It is simple...when employees are happy so are the customers! I bought 2 vehicles from this place, all on the same day so you would think the loyalty would of shown here but it does not instead they decided to lie to me. They may be number 1 in sales but are last in service after the sale. They lied on the mileage saying it had a different mileage when it arrive and also lied on the mileage when i picked up the vehicle. the reason why it was done is because they stated the vehicle was driven to test and see if the problem would show up and they Lied about driving it. I took a picture of the mileage when I dropped it off and a picture of the receipt showing more mileage than what it actually had.... If the lied about mileage how much more they will lie in order to charge people or Toyota more money for things they did not do. This place lied to me about the added maintenance package telling me that a vehicle would be given if the car had to be kept overnight and in fact was also a lied. Please look at the pictures below and you tell me if there was intent to be deceptive to me as a customer, this is a flat out lie they got caught on and if they do this image what else you paid for that you shouldn't have. I brought this Incident up with JOE SALAZAR who is the Customer Relations Manager and he apparently had been lied to by their service Manager because he could care less what I told him. He could care less that I drove from Dallas to work in Houston and that I would have to miss another days work and his only concern was that the Dealership would not pay another $35 for a rental and that I had to bring the car the same day....Yes $35 this Dealership would rather lose a customer than spend another $35 on someone who purchased 2 vehicles from them. He hung up on me after I placed him on the spot. Then I contacted NATE MURPHY the General Manager for the store he said he would look into it on Monday 4/29/19 and call me back either that day or early Tuesday 4/30/19. Guess what? here it is Wednesday 5/1/2019 and still no phone call, as a General Manager you would think he would take care of it and instead chose to avoid the issue. Excellent customer service! I just put purchased a 2014 Toyota Corolla from Fred Haas Toyota World and I could not be happier with my experience. I am a young adult and usually have my father with me when making this kind of decision/purchase. I was worried that by going alone someone might take advantage of the fact that I'm not a car expert or experienced in negotiating. But my father was out of town and my mother had to work so I went in alone. I already had a deal worked out with Internet Sales Manager Jimmy Nguyen through email and phone on the price of the car that I wanted and was pre-approved for my loan through another company with an interest rate of 4.75%. Jimmy was extremely nice when I got to the dealership and had my car freshly cleaned with a full tank of gas, ready to go. He never once tried to confuse me or change the deal, but he did ask if I'd be willing to finance through toyota if they could get me a better interest rate. Then I moved on to Finace Manager Newell Peck who helped me to to get financing through toyota at 0% interest! He was very kind and thoroughly explained all my different options for financing and warranties. He didn't even seem irritated that it took me a few phone calls and a bit of time to make a decion on everything. I really appreciate the time he took to explain everything to me and the savings I am going to get by financing through Toyota. Every person that I came across was extremely helpful and kind. I drove all the way there from Pearland because of a great deal they offered me and found them to not only be giving me a much better deal financially, but the staff was also much more knowledgeable and friendly than a previous dealership I had gone to that was closer to home. Just bought a new RAV 4 last night and had a very good experience. My previous car died on Monday and could not be repaired. My wife had discussed getting a new RAV 4 previously. But a number of pressures were conspiring against us, including end of the month bearing down in which vehicles are less available, rebates may change at the start of the new month, not certain on model and trim, and my wife, who will be the primary driver, leaving town until Sep 30. All to say both the salesman, Jordan Kocinski, and we had a lot to overcome. But Jordan was terrific. He was very knowledgeable and was able to explain all the listed features so we could understand, he was patient as our desires changed during the process and had to search for available vehicles in the area that met our changing desires. I was amazed he found the one that finally met our needs and had it available for us on the last day of the month! Finally, he lowered his price several times to make the cost the lowest he could for us. Can't ask for better than this. We narrowed our choices down and Jordan managed to get the two favorite trim vehicles in house for us to view on Sep 30. We chose one and the pricing was even a little less than what Jordan and I discussed the previous Friday when my wife was out of town! The woman (sorry forgot her name) who worked the Blue-tooth car customization (she worked for Leonard) was also terrific. We could not complete the process because of my wife's phone limitations but plan to return to do so. She was very patient and helped us as much as she could. Fred Hass Toyota World in Spring, TX, has been the worst dealership I've ever dealt with. In June 2024, I purchased a 2022 Nissan Armada. I live in Mississippi and have been buying vehicles since I was young, but this experience was far from satisfactory. The only positive aspect of the entire process was the service provided by Salesman German Rivera. However, my dealings with Rolando Arrieta in finance were extremely disappointing. He was rude, dishonest, and inconsiderate. Despite scheduling a pick-up date of June 17th, Rolando delayed forwarding my paperwork until the day I was supposed to collect the vehicle, causing significant inconvenience. After driving six hours to Spring, TX, I was informed by Rolando, through the salesman, that I couldn't take the vehicle home, forcing me to return the following week. This mishap cost me an additional $600 in travel expenses. Furthermore, the vehicle had several issues: the passenger mirror paint didn't match $150 later to have mirror painted, the driver's side floor mat was missing, the running board was uneven, and the fuse panel cover was missing. Despite my repeated attempts to contact the sales director, finance department, and salesman for reimbursement and resolution, they have not responded. In my opinion, I strongly advise against purchasing a vehicle from Fred Hass Toyota World in Spring, TX. read more

I have read so many bad reviews and it just shocks me. I bought my first Toyota 2 years ago and I had challenging credit. Carlos didn't give up on me and send me away and continued to work on it for a couple weeks until he got me into a car! Now I went back 2 days ago and traded it in for a beautiful new 2015 Corolla and my experience was even better than the first. Carlos was busy with another client so he quickly got his brother to help me and he was incredibly nice and wasn't pushy at all. Excellent excellent excellent experience. The finance gentleman pushed the extra service plans but that's his job. I will continue to refer friends and family to them and I will be back for my next purchase! Now for the service center they have always been easy to deal with and I have waited a couple hours before but generally it's about an hour wait. That really isn't that bad. The one time I was going to be there for an extended period of time they put my in a Toyota rental free so that I could run home or go get lunch. So really shocked to hear such bad reviews for them too. I guess you can't please everyone but I have high standards when it comes to customer service and when I spend good money. First, lets start off that I love my Toyota. This is the second new 4runner I have purchased. I started off my search online. Researched the newer options available on 4runners. I went to Fred Haas Toyota Country on the other side of town. It was HORRIBLE. Bullying tactics and a demeaning sales manager who tried to "educate" me on trade values and which book they used to determine trade almost made me buy a different brand all together. *Background* I come from a car family. I didn't go to daycare as a kid, I went to my dad's used car lot. In my family we start working on and selling cars as soon as we can pick up a socket wrench and screwdriver.* So I drive to Fred Haas Toyota World. Victor is a good salesman. He is polite, professional, and charismatic. He worked with me on my trade and helped me get a great price on a 2015 4runner. I feel confident I got a great price for my trade and a great price on my new SUV. Jennifer in finance was a gem. She got me 0% for three years and was not pushy with any extras. What I appreciated the most from Jerry was that he was on the up and up with me on the Email, phone, prior to me even coming to the dealership. I was getting the run around with other dealerships and began to get pretty tired of wasting my time going to dealership after dealership. When I spoke with Jerry and told him what I was dealing with, he simply told me the truth, had me come to the dealership and on the first attempt, I was riding out with my new 2014 RAV4. After that within 45-50 days we bought 2 another Same Vehicle with same Sales person Jerry Kempenski for my family and friend for 2015 Rav4. First off, let me start by stating that I don't do reviews. However, my experience @ Fred Hass yesterday was awesome! My sales consultant, Lydia Farias, was refreshingly easy to deal with. None of the awkward pressure and wrangling I was used to and expecting. She even worked with me to make my numbers work despite my trade in not being what I thought it was. It seems that the "low miles" 2012 Camry I bought from Don McGill in 2013 had been wrecked and repaired unbeknownst to me. "CAUTION", "always" get the car fax. Lydia was very kind in light of my obvious shock and embarrassment. As we were closing the deal on my new Corolla with 4 miles on the odometer (no car fax needed) Lydia's husband arrived and the environment was more like a neighborhood night out get together than a business venture. The finance lady, Jennifer Welch, had my 0 percent/ 72 months/ 0 down paperwork done in no time and in less than 3 hours I could have left but I chose to socialize a bit with Javier, Lydia's husband awhile. In conclusion, everyone I dealt with at Haas was very friendly while professional at the same time. read more

This was my first car buying experience with Fred Haas Toyota and both my car sales representative, Anthony Truong, and my finance representative, Newell Peck, were very professional! I was very impressed with the dealership and the level of service I received. Throughout the process I felt the staff at Fred Haas Toyota only wanted the best for me. Anthony was great in that I felt he was going to bat for me in getting me the very best deal on my new Toyota 4Runner Limited and after finishing up with financing he spent time with me inside the car setting up everything and teaching me what all the buttons do. Newell was not pushy at all and was very thorough in covering all the paperwork and finance documents. I walked in to the dealership with my financing in place through my credit union and Newell set me up through Toyota Financial beating what many would think is a competitive interest rate by just over a 1/2 point. Okay you guys, what's sad is that you KNOW the only people who write reviews are the very few (like 1 in 1000) people who have a horrible experience that want to trash a company, and then the people who work in retail who know that a review means something. I am one of those who works in retail. I understand that there are some other reviews on here that aren't too hot, but Fred Haas Toyota probably works on over 100 cars per day, and there will always be times where something might not get done properly, but they do an overall amazing job, and have unmatched customer service. I have been there a few times, I believe a gentleman named Sparky helped me out, and he is amazing. There was a sweet, older (but not old) lady who helped me out when I got my oil changed a few days ago, and everyone and everything about the process is pleasant. If there was 0 star, that's what I would rate it. My personal experience wasn't good at all. The internet sales manager was very rude. Did not make eye contact or greeted me. I was looking at a 2017 Tacoma trd 4x4 and sales price on it is 38567. So we negotiated but, nothing happened. Out the door price was 41598 and I told him I'll give him 39k, he said no. So I walked away, Had the true car $1000 off certificate that it was acceptable at there place. So went home seen the price on the internet was 37467 so 1000 dollar difference. I gotten a message the next day saying they will do it for 39k drive out and I event got the text message. I told him I don't want to drive and hour if you are trying to negotiate. Well went there and he said oh, the best I can do is 39500, I was like wtf, you wasted my time lied to me and told me the best you can do is 39500. freaking ridiculous. I had been looking for a newer car and had been researching several options. On Saturday I found a White Toyota RAV4 at another dealer which was almost what I wanted. I looked in the newspaper and noticed that Fred Hass was open on Sunday. I asked my boyfriend to go with me and look at cars with no intention of buying one today. We drove into "Fred Hass Toyota World" and almost immediately I saw the car I wanted. As we approached the White RAV4, a salesman, Mauricio Coto came to us and began introductions. As we talked, the White RAV4 was driving off. I asked Maricio about it and he said it was just sold a few minutes ago. I was disappointed but Maricio said he thought they had just taken a White 2009 RAV4 Limited trade-in a few days ago. It happened to be exactly what I wanted plus it had all the bells and whistles that I didn't even know I wanted. I bought the car and drove it home Sunday evening. I hate salesman. They spend all day practicing the craft of separating you from your money. They know how to read you. It's tough to go in and try to negotiate with a professional negotiator. Then I met Manuel. He was professional and seemed honest. Everything he did confirms this to me. We negotiated all week and My choice was down to a Dodge 2500 or the Tundra. The Dodge 1500 was too small to compete witht the Tundra. I nearly went with Dodge but the larger backseat in the Tundra and Toyota reliability won me over. Don't believe me? Wait 5 years and see which truck holds its value. I know I traded a 2008 4 years ago for a new Land Rover for my wife. I was hungry as our negotiation and paperwork took some time. A tamale vendor came in and seeing that I was hungry Manuel bought about 40 of them for me and my wife. Manuel was doing everything he could. In the end I was happy. Manuel was easy to work with.
