Well...I was pretty impressed with the store and goods up until about a month or so ago when some "big wig" thought it would be a good idea to make it look "better", well you messed it all up and it makes no Da** sence now how things are arranged; no rhime or reason to the location of items. The Deli is consistently and frustratingly understaffed. The idea of waiting in line for 12 - 15 minutes to make a purchase doesn't fit into my schedule. This week alone, I have walked away twice after waiting way too long to get some of their premium expensive sliced meats. I'm ready to buy but they aren't ready for me and other customers. In most cases Fred Meters is 5 stars with me. But three times I have had terrific fails with their staff in the deli and special meat department. In deli one staff member (same one twice) took my order and proceeded to prepare the wrong thing and was very hard to communicate with. Had to request another staff member to prepare my order correctly. Last week I pre-ordered 12 pounds of short ribs 5 days in advance went to pick up this past Sunday and my order was not even started. I was told that in the five days they were short of staff to fulfill my order. Very disappointed in these services. read more

I am in love with my home town Fred Meyers. I miss Fred Meyer's so much, now that I am in Seattle with all the QFC's and Bartells. This place has everything, starbucks, amazing fresh produce, clothing, shoes, sport equipment, gardening, seasonal items, home decor, all types of supplies, really good bulk food section, and a bad ass deli! (turkey, cranberry sandwiches are the bomb). Oh and they have gas! and if you are a loyal customer, like me, you get 10 cents off the already cheap gas! My one stop shop in town. Clothes, food, electronics, and home/garden. Cleaner than Walmart. Better selection than Albertsons or Safeway.

The selection of food is amazing. The olive / antipasto bar is the BEST! A little bit pricy, but that's what you will expect for good food - especially foods that have been imported from Europe. The deli selection is extensive, as well as all other departments. You will never have to wait in line, more than a minute or two at this store. Great food, excellent customer service, and an amazing selection of food - gives Fred Meyer 5 stars. read more

This place always seems more upper class than other super stores, clean and modern. The prices tend to be more expensive than Wal-Mart. They do have better quality items like shoes and clothing. They have a good food court and the salad bar is great (but can be pricey). I get lost trying to find grocery items, but I don't frequent the store often. read more

This is the best Fred Meyer I've ever shopped in, when I go to other Freddy's, I feel so lost. The natural section has been expanded, they now carry lots of gluten free products, and loads of frozen meal options. This store was recently remodeled, and I think that it's beautiful, and very well laid out. If you're a Starbucks fan, you'll love how big an area they set aside for tables to enjoy your yummy coffee from! The cashiers are so nice, especially the ones in the self checkouts, Victoria is a long time employee, she ALWAYS greets me with a big smile, asks about my family, and has remembered my name from the day I met her! Where else have I been treated so well? Not anywhere but my favorite stove, Fred Meyer on Sedgwick!! FRED MYER GAS STATION: I never knew there was a time limit at the gas pumps ( with- in reason) especially after 1:00 on a weekday. Right as I parked at the pump to fill my very empty tank I received an extremely important phone call on the health of a family member who had been declining rapidly. This call was unexpected and normally I wait for all phone calls until I get home no matter what. This one how ever was important. The gas pumps were not extremely busy but traffic flow was consistent. I Was on the phone for 5 mins before the attendant (an older lady with white hair in a pony tail) stood in front of my car hand signaling me. I was confused but opened my door to see what the issue was. In not the nicest tone and ever so loudly she tells me " if you want to talk on the phone you need to move out of the way, there is a person behind you who has been waiting!" At this point I was instantly offended and baffled. I instantly told my phone call I had to go do to being rushed. I then took a second to look around and there were open gas pumps around me despite the person waiting behind me. At this point I said rather irritated," OH IM SORRY!! I had NO idea there was a time limit!" Her response was again SNOTTY, LOUD AND VINDICTIVE IN TONE. " Well there's not!! But if you want to speak on the phone you can move over there !" Again she was even louder with this response. She had absolutely 0 respect, nor care. She just wanted to throw her power of running the gas pumps around and she made it known. I responded "No problem I'll move!" As I'm pulling out I notice the person in front of me who was there before I even pulled up. You know if I had been "window shopping" their snacks or checking my oil, cleaning out my car ect. She would have never said a thing. I could have taken 20 minuets to do that with no problem, but because SHE DECIDED it wasn't ok, she spoke up while being extremely rude and out of her place. Queen of the gas pumps or not. I have no doubt because I'm a younger girl with the side of my head shaved that she assumed what I was doing was not important. That was pretty clear from her attitude. I also parked by the pumps and just observed other gas customers take twice as long as I did - not involving any gas or car related issues and she never approached a single person!! Matt at the deli is the best sando maker ever. I got the sweet and salty. It was amazing. You walk in and the dude is so nice and listens to the mood your in. Made a sandwich to order and it was incredible. Fast, perfect. Made me so happy. I will come here for lunch more often. read more

I do the majority of my shopping here, groceries and more. They have the best organic selection in Port Orchard, I love the variety of cheese they offer, they have so many great home goods, the cashiers at the front & employees in the electronic department are friendly, they sell very cute clothes. I also appreciate the ClickList service for those busy weekends. Here are my complaints: SOME (not all) of their home goods are overpriced. The lines can be pretty insane sometimes.They have good clothing sales but their clothes are definitely overpriced and the things I buy there don't tend to last as long as I would expect for what I paid. My biggest complaint about the store is the employees in the clothing department. One day, while waiting for a dressing room, I kept calling the attendant. I could HEAR my call but she kept ignoring me & another customer. This other customer didn't even wait it out like I did, but ended up just leaving. After a few minutes, I approached her & she told me she would be right with me. She never came. After several more minutes of continuing to try to call again, and still being ignored, a different employee finally helped me. On another occasion, I saw another employee from the clothing department talking to an elderly woman and her tone was unacceptable. They didn't have the specific product the customer was searching for but the delivery of the employees words left something to be desired. On yet another occasion, I was in line in the clothing department, and they customer service I was provided was mediocre at best. One of the girls behind the counter had just become engaged, and the employees behind the counter were showering her with attention, while barely engaging their customers, even as they rang them up. I haven't even bothered to buy clothes from there recently, for these reasons. If I have three examples I can think of just off the top of my head, I'm quite sure others are having similar experiences. If I do decide to buy clothes from Fred Meyer again, and if I am treated so poorly again, I will find the highest ranking manager available and complain on the spot, with names. I have the name of the one who ignored me at the dressing room but am choosing not to name her on here. I don't know if their clothing department has a department manager or how it all works in that store, but whoever is in charge of this department needs to get control of their staff and expect more from them. I spend AT LEAST $150 (if not more) in this store EVERY SINGLE WEEK (no exaggeration) and deserve better customer service than what that department offers. They would get even more of my money if these particular employees provided halfway decent customer service. Fred Meyer is definitely my favorite grocery store in town, but there are some serious areas of opportunity here. If it weren't for the clothing dept employees, I would have given this store 5 stars. I do all my shopping and gassing up here. Affordable prices and friendly workers. I've only had a couple issues at this store: In the clothing department last week, a woman asked me if I needed help and I asked her to help me pick out an outfit for a funeral. I was expecting her to go above and beyond but instead just told me that Chinese people traditionally wear white. I told her I was not Chinese, and then she went on to add that in medieval times people wore black to morn. I was really weirded out by her odd history lesson, when I had asked for her to maybe point out a couple good options for me to wear. Ended up wandering the store for an hour trying to find an outfit instead. Another issue I have is that the counter where they duplicate keys and sell guns... every time I have gone up there, if there is a gun sale going on, they will completely ignore your presence even after you have been waiting around for 5 minutes. It would be thoughtful to maybe call in another staff member to help another paying customer! Last time that happened, I needed a key made, and someone was filling out paperwork for a gun. The man at the counter was just rambling on about some personal story about hunting and completely ignored me. I thought it was very uncharacteristic of this great store. I had to track down another store clerk and I told her I was being ignored, and she just made excuses for him. I work in retail and ignoring customers is NEVER an excusable thing. I went to put my prescription in last March 6 and they said it couldn't order it until Monday the 9th and it will available the following Saturday. So today is Saturday and my husband goes and picks up my medication because I'm on bed rest and he gets there and they tell him they didn't order it the person who took my prescription the first time didn't tell anyone about it this is the worst pharmacy I've ever been to I will never go back. read more

I stopped in last week for organic cucumbers and they didn't have any. When I inquired, they tell me they didn't come in on the truck. Went back a week later, still no organic cucumbers. The only issue i have is they seemed to have a device that blocks 4G network and phone signal once you enter the store..I believe majority of merchandise prices are a bit pricier than the ones I mentioned above..if you compare to do price check on your smartphone it won't let you do it..cause it's blocked.. read more

I love shopping at Fred Meyer but I hate this store! They never have ads available at the entrance so you have to wait in the customer service line to get one, and the cashiers give you attitude if you don't have the coupons or if you don't rip them out of the ad. They have a policy regarding how many customers they allow to wait in line before they open up additional registers however they do not do that with their customer service desk. I waited in line almost 20 minutes while this poor girl had a steady line of no less than five customers at a time yesterday. The girl at the desk did a great job trying to move the line, but her manager came over TWICE and did not help her with the line. Sometimes I do get a friendly cashier, but this store has awful customer service overall. read more

I highly recommend Fred Meyer in Port Orchard. They have a great selection of clothes, actually did all my Christmas Shopping here. They have a great selection of meats, fresh produce, whole foods, and the store is easy to navigate and being disabled it is a preferred place to shop as they provide riding carts. Most other stores don't have enough carts but I never have to wait to do my shopping. Additionally, they are my preferred pharmacy. John, one of the pharmacists, has been particularly helpful on several occasions. I have always felt well taken care of and respected. One last thing, they have a jewelry and electronics store that I have used several times and gotten sales and deals and jewelry appraisals. Really, this is the best place to shop and their quality is superior to Walmart by far. read more

This Fred Myers has the worst parking lot in Kitsap County. It takes so long to get parked here that I would rarther walk there then try to drive in and park. You can't hardly even drive thought it takes so long. Once inside (usually after 15 to 20 min. Of frustration) its ok. But I would rather go to any other grocery store than FM. Love Fred Myer in Port Orchard. We had a great experience a few days ago. We had bought a 20lb bag of bird seed a few days prior then bought another bag at a different store (same brand) at a much lower price, when in the store that day mentioned it to the duty manager as just an observation but he gladly and cheerfully offered us a bag of seed at the lower price and gave us a refund on the bag we had bought, do not expect this every time but all the same it was great customer service, we were well impressed and will always shop at Fred Myer and pass on the great customer service. Aside from this experience, all Fred Myer employees are polite and courteous and always helpful. Love the new remodel, especially the deli area. read more

Love the produce here. Always fresh and taste great. People friendly and helpful. However, I hate the olive bar. I bought some olives, didn't realize they had pits until ili broke my tooth. Next time I was in the store the olives I purchased had no sign saying there was pits, ask management to put one up. They still haven't. read more

The Starbucks needs new people that can help each other as teammates. One person was doing all the coffee (Angela) hopefully she was new because it took her 17 minutes to make a hot chocolate! I asked cashier how long before mine was done because I had to catch a ferry to go to work. She said she is working on it next. 3 employees there but no one would help this girl. I don't understand why someone didn't help her get caught up. So I missed my ferry thank you very much. I will never order anything from this Starbucks again. Talk about lack of teamwork. What can I say...the review left by Roxy was so ridiculously unfair that I feel compelled to post the opposite. I live here in Port Orchard (not Elk Grove like the troll named Roxy). I shop at this store very frequently and am a regular customer at the Starbucks in this Fred Meyer. Every time I frequent this location, daytime, nighttime, weekday, or weekend; I have been to this Starbucks and the folks that work here are some of the most professional and friendly Fred Meyer associates I've had the pleasure to experience. Doesn't matter the day or time; the wonderful people that work at this Starbucks are CONSTANTLY doing work. Doesn't matter whether the customer that comes up to the counter is sweet as candy or rude and bitter; these people GO OUT OF THEIR WAY to make their customer experience a 10. It's true, they desperately need a second machine to help alleviate some of the longer wait times one can experience on a busy day. They have no control over that and when their ONLY machine malfunctions to the point that they cannot, in good conscience, serve a subpar Starbucks experience; there should be some understanding on a customers part because I KNOW that if they could go out tomorrow and get that second machine; they would. And again, THEY GO ABOVE AND BEYOND to ensure the customer leaves happy and satisfied. It's too bad Roxy felt the need to post her negative experience on here with zero regard for the fantastic people that have always made mine and hundreds of other people's Fred Meyer Starbucks experiences phenomenal. And if anyone with the power to get them that second machine and a hotbox too (breakfast sandwiches and paninis...yum); this frequently satisfied customer would wholeheartedly appreciate the effort and would "highly likely" recommend this location to friends and family! read more

At the meat market, Bobbi has been a great help. However, when I asked for River smelt she said they haven't had them in a while. I wished they would carry the RIVER smelt. The Fred Meyer store in Port Orchard offers a pleasant shopping experience. The produce is the best to be found in Port Orchard, and the staff seems to be very friendly. The regular prices tend to be high - but there's something to be said for atmosphere, and they do have a nice atmosphere. However - their coupons tend to have so very many exclusions that you will feel cheated any time you use them. This includes their much touted "Senior Discount" that doesn't apply to way more merchandise than it does. Buyer beware....... read more

My whole family knows that I am very particular when it comes to cold cuts. I was in Port Orchard visiting some family, and I was told to go to Fred Meyer to pick up some salami because of their high-quality meats and friendly service. Being the stickler that I am, I asked the name of the person who prepared the hard salami that I ordered. They said his name is Jeremy, and I made sure I remembered that name because I believe that feedback is always beneficial. When we got back to my sister's house, I swear to goodness that I haven't enjoyed a sandwich like that in a LONG time. The salami was sliced perfectly, and I personally went in the next day to thank Jeremy and shake his hand for appeasing my normal paranoia when it comes to meats. This is one of the better Fred Meyer's I've been in. I've been in several in Washington and Oregon and I like this one the most. To see the other reviews putting this store down is wrong. OMG Freddy's sells guns!!!!! Wow, who cares. So does Wal-mart and nobody says anything about it. The other review says they have no ads up front. Not true. I've always been able to get an ad unless it is in the last day or two before the new ad is due out. The people who work there are very helpful and friendly. By the way any store that has coupons in their ads require you to at least remove them from the paper and provide them to the cashier. Do you really think you can just toss your ad at them . Come on give my a break ! I've shopped here since it opened. This is a very good store. Period!! read more
