After our trip to Italy, we've been on the search for the perfect Affogato in Las Vegas--and I think we found it! The Gelato here is amazingly satisfying. Dulcet de leche with oreo hit the spot. It goes perfect with the waffle cone for that crunch sensation. I first discovered Freddo at a friend's birthday party where they had their gelato cart--and after trying the pistachio gelato, I knew I had to visit the actual shop for more. From the moment we walked in, the staff was warm and welcoming. They immediately asked if we had visited before and took the time to explain how everything worked. They happily offered samples, which made the experience feel even more inviting. My daughter chose the Amarena in a waffle cone, while I went with the Philippine Coconut and Extra Creamy Strawberry in a to-go container. Every flavor was rich, smooth, and incredibly satisfying. I'm a big supporter of local ice cream shops, and Freddo is close to my house, so I gave it three tries. Unfortunately, all of them have been disappointing. I've tried the dark chocolate gelato, regular chocolate gelato, and hot chocolate drink. Both the dark chocolate and regular chocolate gelato flavors were pretty stale (?) tasting and just not that good. It feels like the chocolate flavors are not well formulated, just pretty dull. As for the hot chocolate, the worker made the drink with off-tasting milk that I think it may have been expired. He tried to rectify it with oat milk, but the drink ended up tasting pretty terrible and I threw it out. The workers are super nice, but service needs to streamlined. You basically wait until each customer group has tried and tested all the flavors they want until they move on to the next customer. I think that multiple customer groups can be testing flavors at once, with some making quicker decisions than others. Last time I waited 10-15 minutes to be served with just 2 customer groups ahead of me. read more

I had such a delicious first visit at Freddo. Honestly, was I even living before this gelato? I always appreciate a great dairy-free option, and the mango tasted like fresh mango scooped straight into a cup....absolutely divine. Adorable gelato shop (cute Vespa by the back wall!) with a wide selection of enticing flavors. We got an affogato with Dubai Chocolate ($10.95) and it was delicious! The espresso was delightfully smoky and bold, and it paired beautifully with the Dubai Chocolate (I don't know what the little crispy slivers were but they were delightful!) The portion was a little small to split between the two of us, and it left us craving for our next visit. This place hits the mark for gelato, they are from Argentina and making their mark here in Vegas. The workers are super friendly and they offer samples of any flavor and as many as you want. Yes I tried about 7 flavors and I landed on mango. This was super refreshing and mango is very good. Damn I tried almost a third of the flavors with their samples and I had a challenging time picking one lol. It was a small cozy place, good spot for taking the lady on a date. Plenty of flavors. I ended up with cup with Pistachio and Dubai Vanilla. The Pistachio is what sold it for me, most places will give you that flavor but you can tell it has that artificial taste, this place made it taste like real pistachios. I loved the cherry flavor and pieces of cherry in the gelato. The banana split was fine, but it didn't really seem to have any banana flavor. I tasted more chocolate and caramel with the banana split. I did like that neither flavor was overly sweet but was still delightfully creamy without being as heavy as ice cream. Their waffle cones are made fresh daily and pair perfectly with the gelato--crisp yet soft enough to enjoy, unlike most that are overly hard. I've also tried their seasonal drinks, which are uniquely crafted by their own team, something I really appreciate. My personal favorite is the blueberry cinnamon oatmilk latte, with the pumpkin spice coming in a close second. Their affogato is probably the best I've ever had. The way they strategically have the gelato surrounding the cup and pour the coffee over allows it to slowly absorb into the gelato, creating an extra creamy texture and a perfectly balanced taste that's both rich and smooth. If you're craving gelato Freddo is worth a try. I was told by the scooping technician the gelato comes from Argentina. It's traditional with an Argentina twist. I've only ever had gelato from Italy or house made after training in Italy. There are numerous flavors and they are up to have you try before purchase! I ended up choosing Dubai chocolate which was good, but the shard of chocolate on top didn't have any flavor, the gelato part was tasty. I also tried a flavor close to a Ferraro Roche chocolate. The consistency resembled that of ice cream instead. Incredible gelato shop! I stopped by here on Sunday afternoon and was promptly greeted by Fabrizio (I believe that was his name). He was so friendly and rushed to help me, he explained the background of Freddo which was interesting and fun to learn. I was offered some samples and quickly picked the Lemon Gelato! It was soo amazing and perfect for this sunny day outside! There wasn't anywhere to sit as this place was quite busy but understandably so! They have coffee drinks and dessert treats as well. After being here once for a Yelp event, I finally returned to try some other Argentinian gelato. This time, I got a cup of tiramisu. It is packed full of creamy goodness. It melts quickly so eat up. Also, take your photo before I did with mine., I was to eager to start so some of the top is gone. The young man behind the goodies explained that it was all Argentinian gelato made in Argentina and shipped here. I enjoyed my choice. Yelp Review 2025 #109: I've been to Buenos Aires where Freddo is from but I didn't get the chance to try Freddo there. But luckily, they opened a shop in Las Vegas. They're next door to a smoke shop on Durango and Warm Springs. It's a small gelateria with a few tables and chairs inside. They have boxes of ice cream bars and you can get gelato by the scoop or pint. They also have coffee, tea, waffle, and sandwiches. Since it was my first time here, I had to try a few of their flavors before zeroing in on what flavors I should get. But I ended up not getting the flavors I tried and went with what I would normally get: pistachio, and Freddo chocolate (chocolate with hazelnuts). The texture was just right. Creamy, smooth and no ice particles. Good flavors. I also tried their banana split which I thought was lacking a component of a real banana split - it should have maraschino cherries, pineapple tidbits and not just banana, caramel and chocolate sauce. I'm ok not having peanuts on a banana split. Service was ok. Would I come back here? If I'm in the area. Would I drive all the way out here for gelato? Not necessarily. read more

I visited Freddo for a Yelp Elite experience a couple of weeks ago and I enjoyed it so much that I decided to come back and bring Kyle along with me. Even though the weather can't make up its mind whether to stay warm or not, I was in the mood for more of their delicious gelato. We had to wait a while in line because a huge group in front of us were taking a long time trying out various samples. The line was long (almost out the door) but it eventually started moving quickly. Last time I was here, I had raspberry gelato and a Passionfruit/lemon fruitshake. This time, I was here to really satisfy my sweet tooth and wanted to go for their milkshake. Not wanting to hold up the line ourselves, Kyle tried one sampler (it tasted like vanilla but its' colors were yellow and purple, the name tag was not present) but settled on a cup of extra creamy strawberry gelato. I got myself a Freddo cookies and cream milkshake with whipped cream on top. I tried a taste of the strawberry gelato and it was sooooo good! My cookies and cream milkshake was also delicious and I'm happy that I chose this flavor. Freddo is a gelato shop that deserves more than five stars!
