This looks like a local favorite place to eat. We were traveling and stopped off for breakfast. The restaurant is close to the highway exit. The place was busy but we were able to get seated right away. The menu has a nice selection of items including some Mexican dishes. We started to sit blin an empty booth by the window but it was a tight squeeze so we moved over to a central booth. Apparently the booths that line the window are smaller. I ordered the corn beef hash with hash browns with onion and scrambled eggs. I skipped the toast as I felt I already had enough carbs. The corn beef hash was awesome. It was real corned beef Vs the mushy out of the can type. The scrambled eggs were fluffy and not over cooked and the hash browns with onion had a crispness that I like in hash-browns. My husband ordered he same breakfast but with eggs over easy and toast/jelly. If we travel this way again and the timing is right we would definitely stop in for a meal. read more

Every dish we had was awful. No waffles after 1:00 for some reason. One dish was just eggs with a can of tomatoe sauce dumped on it, gravy was old and gross. Orange juice tasted like hotel concentrate. read more

Our family has been getting meals here twice a week for some time and they raised their prices, I get that prices go up, but now they have a $2 Fee for using a credit card. People don't like seeing added fees on any bill. Unfortunately due to this fee we're done being customers there. If they wise up and remove the credit card fee someone give me a heads up. We came from the Milwaukee area, and happened upon this place. Small restaurant. The waitress was all alone but did such a wonderful job getting us our food in a timely manner even with the breakfast rush. The food was hot, fresh, and delicious. It was so good that we came back the next morning. We came in, the same waitress remembered us, she remembered our drink orders, and made our experience wonderful. A small town restaurant that has a good menu of reasonably priced tasty food. My Friends and family enjoy eating here when visiting. Great breakfasts. My birdbanding group eats here when we go out for late breakfast/lunch after we finish banding for the day. Omelets are good. My go to is the Greek omelet with added spinach. Extra crispy hash browns. And their Mexican breakfast offerings are great. Especially the chorizo and eggs. I enjoy their Patty Melt and their Cuban sandwiches as well. Good French fries. Ordered ham and eggs and didn't get toast, when he brought the meal we asked if toast came with it? He says sure if you ask for it? I ordered spaghetti for $12.25 the serving was a child's portion. Stopped for breakfast, was quite good. Ordered waffle, hashbrowns & bacon and was hoping it wouldn't' be too greasy. Much to my surprise it wasn't greasy at all! Staff was cordial & prompt. Decor/ambiance is similar to mom & pop restaurants in rural Oklahoma (as well as the clientele). Clearly if you're not local you're under the microscope, I found myself looking up from my newspaper on more than one occasion because I could feel someone starring at me. Also - it was very loud, there was a debate among two tables about current events. Overall.....Food = good. Atmosphere = so/so. read more

For a small family diner, Ferdonia Family Restaurant is fantastic! Great service, generous portions, and tasty food! If you're looking for amazing enchiladas, go here! They have everything from salads, to breakfast, to Mexican/American food. You can't go wrong! Prices are fantastic too! And if you want, you're even able to get a drink from the bar. So impressed by this tiny diner that's hidden away in Ferdonia. We try to go at least once a month because we cannot beat the service and prices. The only reason I rate 4 stars is because they are not open on Mondays! I always forget and then am disappointed when I have to turn around! I want my delicious food :) read more

Just moved to the area and decided to try this local restaurant out. The first issues is the drinks are $1.95 and only allow one refill. The food was not very good and was very bland. What made the experience worse was the waitress. She had an awful attitude and seemed that us being there was an inconvenience to her. The Fredonia family resteraunt is located closely to hwy 57 on highland drive in the small town of Fredonia . An easy on and off the hwy for travelers. It was once called the coffee pot years ago but changed hands. Being a local resident I wish I could rave about our only diner but I can't. It's located on the corner of a strip mall and has outdated decorum and seating. The last time we visited there was a hole in the wall of our booth and I joked that there must've been a mad hillbilly eating there before us. The food isn't anything special- I have eaten both a breakfast and lunch here and have not revisited either meal. The staff is friendly but we were overcharged over $8 last time we stopped because the waitress wasn't good at math. I'm not either but my calculator doesn't lie and $8 could buy me a good meal somewhere else. read more

I ordered for carryout. The lady on the phone was very kind and very helpful as I didn't have a menu in front of me and hadn't been there in years since my parents moved. The cod fish fry I had tasted very good. I had the salad but was missing cheese..I guess maybe they don't come with cheese though?? My husband's smelt dinner was excellent as he put it..no fishy odor to it whatsoever. I'm sure glad we went to The Fredonia Restaurant for carryout!! Inside was packed and parking lot was packed too. I grew up on if the food is good and service is too that they will keep coming back and this restaurant knows how to keep their lot full so they have to be doing something right and food is great so no complaints from me there either!! We stopped here on the way through town and I wish we hadn't. I ordered a turkey club with fries. The fries tasted like they came out of the grocery freezer section. Too crispy. No flavor. The turkey club was okay, but they really need to take more care when putting toothpicks in. I pulled one out and it was broken in half inside the sandwich. I had to dig in it to get the other half out. Another one lost its red foil (that's supposed to be on the end of the toothpick) inside of the sandwich and I had to dig that out too. Bacon was way too crispy. I like my bacon crispy, but not charred, as this was. My husband ordered the chicken tender wrap. He said it needed some sort of sauce, as it was very dry. Chicken was good however. A few redeeming qualities: Waitresses seemed friendly and seemed to know most people in there. Food came out quickly after we ordered. read more

The truly impressive breadth of the menu, friendliness, caring and efficiency of the wait staff and quality of the cooking are standouts! This has become our family's favorite place to stop when traveling along highway 57. We just ate there again this Saturday night, when heading home from Milwaukee to Plymouth, and chose two blackboard specials and two dinners off the regular menu. We had only a half hour to spare and doubted we could be in and out of there in time, but after we told our server about our time crunch, she moved everything along and our meals arrived in less than ten minutes. Our kids adore not only their delicious desserts but also the way their taco chips are served warm and seem to be homemade. My New York strip, which cost only $11.95, was flavorful and perfectly cooked. Our Mexican meals arrived sizzling and with a nice, big stack of warmed tortillas, and were authentic and yummy. It's great to eat at a place that does both American and Mexican food well, offers something for everyone and is clean, comfortable and inexpensive. read more
