I've been eager to try Scott's Burgers for a while, but every time I passed by, they were closed. Their hours of operation aren't the most convenient--they close by 4 PM (though Google lists 5 PM), which is before most people get off work, and they're also closed on weekends. This made it difficult to find a time to visit. The place itself is small and strictly for ordering, with an old-school, slightly worn look that some might see as outdated, but I found it charming and unique. I ordered the sourdough burger, while my friend got the jalapeño burger. We also tried the jalapeño poppers, onion rings, and fries. The burgers were fantastic--juicy, flavorful, and satisfying. The jalapeño poppers and onion rings were also great. However, the fries were underwhelming--not crispy enough and lacking seasoning. Overall, I'm giving them four stars because of their limited hours and mediocre fries, but otherwise, it's a fantastic burger spot that I highly recommend.

Pastrami Burger W/fried egg. There is a beef patty in there too.

I've been hitting up this place again. I'm still set on pastrami burgers. This is currently my favorite burger. It's not the greatest in the world or anything, but for what you get (pastrami w/egg) @ $8.35 out the window, it's pretty outstandingly GREAT. You're not likely to get E. coli here because the burgers are well done, not moist, pink or fatty. In fact not really tough, but a well done-chewy kinda texture. I don't mind, they're not charging $10-18 either. I'm not saying the burger patty is bad or great, it's middle of the road goodness. I love this burger. Without the egg the veggies would cool this burgie down fast, w/the fried egg in there I can drive 8 minutes and the whole burger is still hot to some degree. Plus it's just better, more complete and filling and sooo tasty. That's another thing, they VERY consistently flavor well with condiments and salt, never too much or too little. At other joints there's always who knows you is making it today; too much variation & too many mistakes. Lastly, their buns are unique, not brioche, but something different. Always soft enough, but with a strong bite to it as well. I dig the buns. Maybe they make them. IDK

THIS PLACE IS FOR SURE TOP 3 IN SACRAMENTO WHEN IT COMES TO BURGERS, I treated my boi here for luck cuz he's never been and always wanted to go, and since I'm yelp elite I noticed I've never wrote a review for them so here it is: SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO GOOOOOOOOOOOOOD! The burgers are so juicy, the juices be dripping, I got the triple fatty combo man it's so worth it, this burger is better then any burger at any fast food establishment in Sacramento, they have so many options, good prices and good custom options, you can get a western and add pastrami, you can get a fatty and add mushrooms, any choice you make will be worth it, this place needs Sacramento's beat food award for sure, wish they had a food truck that could come to the north where I live, but I've been coming here for 10 years and no matter where I live I'll always travel for good food. Food: 10/10 Tip : 0 Will I return : of course Customer service: they are real friendly

If you blink while driving down Franklin you might miss it, as the shack is not very big. Yet nevertheless Scott can make a good burger. The Fatboy has a large, 1/2 lb patty, with bacon, cheese, a hefty bun, and otherwise standard burger toppings. The meat was seasoned well and everything seemed to go together. I got a side of onion rings and chicken nuggets for my son. Neither of which were noteworthy but neither were bad. There's no ambiance but there large picnic tables are in the shade at least. I took a star away because I tried to call several times to order but they did not answer the phone. I saw other reviews have mentioned this as well. Also, be careful when pulling into the parking lot. While eating I saw someone take the turn too sharply and blow out a tire on a metal grate on the curb. Apparently this happens a few times per week so be careful!

Been going to this place for almost 10 years and this place has always been awesome, has never disappointed me! Hands down the best burger in Sacramento! Super Fat Boy combo is definitely the go to. The Triple Fat Boys is for the real hungry and brave. Hours are for lunchtime so absolutely get it when you can and Make sure you bring cash too!

Tucked away in a very small white shack on Franklin Blvd, Scott's Burger Shack serves delicious burgers at very reasonable prices. The setting is a small building with only a few picnic benches surrounding the building, You order thru the small window as they peek their heads out to take your order by writing it on a per bag with pen. No fancy electronics, and no credit cards here. Cash only! The Fatboy combo has a full 1/2 lb burger with fries and a huge drink for $9.20 and it's a great deal. If you somehow have room for more, there is a 1lb and 1 1/2 lb Fatboy Combo as well. We also had the Western Bacon which had a Obion Ring, Bacon, Cheese and BBQ sauce. Super yummy, fresh handmade burger. Call ahead with your order as this place is small and gets busy. Usually about a 20 min wait from the time you pace your order.

So. . .I've passed by this place a thousand times and was always curious about it but I've never stopped here to eat. While my husband and I were out shopping, he suggested we stop here to try them out. I'm so glad we did. I ordered the bacon cheeseburger and onion rings. My husband ordered the sourdough burger w/egg. We usually try each other's food before we start digging into our own. He enjoyed his burger but I thought it lacked seasoning. Mine, on the other hand, was pretty awesome! The patty could have been plain and I would never know it because the combination of the bacon, grilled onions, pickles, etc. . .set it off . . .and I don't know what type of bun they used but it was nice and soft with the perfect amount of firmness so it didn't fall apart while I was eating it. The onion rings were pretty amazing too. The batter they used made the onion ring coating smooth, which I never had before. .but the batter was fried a perfect golden brown. They had the perfect amount of crunch and a certain sweetness to them. It was a little different at first but I quickly fell in love with them. The only "cons" to this place: -The wait. It took 20-25 min for us to get our food. -There's only outdoor seating. -Cash only. Other than that, I totally recommend this place.

Honestly a staple place in all of Sacramento. A long while ago I was going to here and Awful Wally's trying to decide which place had the better pastrami burger. Now with Awful Wally's gone, the decision is really not that hard anymore. Everywhere else that I have gone to try and compare pastrami burgers don't match up to here. The burger has never been dry or salty since I've been coming here, and the line is usually long. Try to get here early to beat that line, if not you're waiting 20-30 minutes easy for your food.

Chili cheese fries is not good , its like weinerschnitzel like, and they only give a little for an expensive price

With authentic flavors and food items, there's not many like it around town. Bodega serves up food from the Caribbean Islands. One of their most popular dishes is their jerk chicken. They have this both as a chicken wing appetizer and as a plated dinner. I personally really enjoy white meat when it comes to chicken and the dinner plate was leg and thigh so I opted to go with the wing appetizer. My only complaint about it was its size. I thought it could have had more wings as I thoroughly enjoyed each one with the jerk sauce I added to it. The wings were very crisp on the outside and full of flavor. Adding the jerk sauce or their house made hot sauces enhanced the flavor even more. I could really see myself coming just for these wings! I also had the Cubano sandwich. This hot, pressed sandwich has ham, cheese, pickles, and mustard. It's a popular item that also is bursting with flavor. The combination of all the ingredients was mouthwatering. It comes with a side of fries to round out the meal. Service at Bodega was very nice. We found the servers to be very patient with us and the food came out reasonably. I was specifically there for a birthday party where we had cake being served from outside the restaurant. Bodega has a cake cutting charge, but seeing our tiny cake they waived it for us! It's a cute restaurant and definitely different than many you will find around Sacramento. If you're in the pocket area, Bodega is well worth a visit!

Amazing transformation. The inside is minimal with the diner decor, keeping the place open and uncluttered (although, there's a lady mannequin propped up near the window!). The smaller back patio is also nicely remodeled with their signature red double decker bus, which I hear is very close to being ready for occupation (as of 7/12/26). That will be fun to hang out and eat your burger and fries in there, especially if A/C is provided. The cute patio is also open to leashed dogs that are well behaved. I love that they offer combos with a shake or a fountain drink. You'll find burgers, shakes, fries, chili, and hot dogs. The menu is very reasonably priced too. I got a single Lucky burger combo with a large banana peanut butter chocolate shake (you can mix flavors), upgraded to chili cheese fries, and also ordered a separate fountain drink. The cashier was very friendly, patient, and helpful. Service 10/10. Given a buzzer and found a table inside. Food came up in about 5 minutes. Good burger but had way too many onions (easy fix though). I wouldn't mind a softer bun, but it was fine. The Lucky sauce is similar to thousand island dressing, and they had a few other sauces available that I still need to try. The fries were great! Battered, seasoned, and crispy. Shake was thick and not too sweet. They use real fruit, but not sure if they use real ice cream or soft serve. Either way, it was still delicious.
