This is a customer service review... if your a woman you will get HORRIBLE SERVICE thus will be the second time Ive waited for food and be ignored. One girl was on her cell phone behind an older lady taking a order on the phone i patiently waited to be serviced at the register. Stll standing there I received a call and a guy came up from behind were the girl in the cell phone put her phone down and came to the register. I fugured it was her table which is still rude to bluntly ignore me si i move to the other register where the older lady then passed the phone to the girl takes the card of the man and rings him up ultimately pushing me out of the way for his signature mind you not one hello was spoken. Now im complaining to my mom on the phone because u cant believe this. I then ask the lady why i wasnt serviced and she said because i was on she phone . The food is good And usually the girls are really nice But the one we got was not! the girl that served us had a stank face We sat at our table for a good 10 mins before anyone even offered us menus The girl was literally making eye contact with us! Went here for the first time today while on a layover at a nearby hotel. Friend & I both ordered the exact same thing: Carne Asada burrito and a pork carnitas taco. We both would probably skip the burrito next time & get a plate of their tasty tacos next time. Burrito was alright. Big & beefy, but man that taco stole the show! I think I could probably use the whole container of their salsa verde on a plate of those suckers. Very friendly, fast service. Would go again in a heart beat. read more

I love love love their tacos! I tend to get the 5 tacos always 2 Asada and 3 carnitas. I can usually eat 3 and force myself to eat the other 2. I honestly think they have better flavor and better prices than king taco. I love that I'm supporting a local business and has amazing quality food and service. I once went in with a party of 12, and they were able to sit us right away. I'm always impressed when I can go in to an establishment with the whole family and not have to wait for them to figure out how they are gonna sit us. I am writing this on behalf of my Dad that doesn't know how to use Yelp. On the morning of Saturday August 21 2021, he came to this place. He placed his order, the female waitress that helped him took a while to bring chips and salsa, the regular stuff. My Dad proceeded to go to the restroom, when he came back and saw that there was still no food on his table he decided to switch tables, when the waitress noticed this, she came to my Dad and yelling at him asked why he switched tables, arguing she had served his food and it was on the original table. My Dad tried to explain to her why he switched tables but then she turned her back to him, still yelling went to talk to the staff about my Dad, all while being loud. My Dad simply got up and left. What a horrible, low class way to treat a customer. We can all agree that as customers, we sometimes too might give a hard time to servers but under no circumstances it is permissible to yell and a customer simply for switching tables. Even worst, my Dad had just come from work, his appearance wasn't exactly elegant ( not that this restaurant is) but he feels that the low treatment he received was due to his appearance. Disgusting . I really hope the owner can read this as this type of service is beyond ridiculous. We understand this is a sort of fast service type of place but to be respectful is something that every business must be. read more

Where do I even begin... let's start with the over priced food. I understand inflation is bad, buuuuut their prices are ridiculous. Food is good but it doesn't justify the price. Restaurant also doesn't do any justice for the prices. Personally my major issue was what I witnessed a couple days ago. A man that I later found out is the owner, the way he treats his employees is ridiculous!!!! If he has an issue with one of his employees he should talk to them privately not in front of customers. If it's uncomfortable for me as a customer I can only imagine the poor girl he was yelling at. That's humiliating, rude and just plain disrespectful! About 3 months ago, the family thought we had hit paydirt finding Fredy's, the food was just above average, ladies taking the orders over the phone were on point and everything warm when we picked it up. Fast forward to the last 2 times, one of them yesterday, 5-5-22 and about 2 weeks ago. There's a new cook at the window that looks at you like you walked into his very own home looking at you, like he's about to ask you "Where you from ese ???" Wow, first impressions are wonderful. These last 2 times, the tacos and sopes seemed to be dipped or just have tons of grease, so much so, that the bag and foil have it dripping when you take it out of the bag !!!! Disgusting to say the least, not wanting to waste the money, about 70 to 90 bucks for a family of 5, I put mine on a couple of paper towels which were soaked in a few seconds. Maybe the extra monteca is a gift to use when we refry the beans!! This place has lost me as a customer, sad because it had a few good days, but not lately, I mean twice in 2 weeks??? That's not bad timing, that's regular service. To the Bofo cook, keep your face in the back, and maybe learn how to keep the carne out of the oil. Try at your own risk!!! read more

Food is good but pricing is very high. Beans and rice shouldn't be so much! It's close to my house but I haven't been back because the basic food I order for my husband and myself was almost $20. I live in vegas, but travel to Ontario often on business. Fredy's is the closest Mexican joint to the doubletree, so it's quick and convenient. I've given them a few chances. First time, completely incorrect order, but it was delicious so I let it slide. Second time, incorrect order again, and not so delicious being that both tacos and burritos were all beef; which I don't eat, so that was a waste of money. Two months later, I return once more to pick up a quick to-go burrito. "One more chance" I figured. I walked in at 6:55, and ordered one carnitas burrito to go. I only ordered carnitas because they literally ran out of chicken. No joke. I didn't get my order until 7:15. Twenty minutes for one burrito to go? Seriously? And they had maybe 5 tables sat. So it wasn't busy. This place is a joke. If you're from out of town, I recommend Alfredos. read more

I ordered a torta by phone. Got there within 15 minutes, when they said my order would be ready. They put sourcream on it even though i asked to not add it. The whole thing was also not hot AT ALL; to the point that i got worried it may not be safe to eat if the meat was cooked -who knows when- and just sat there. I knew when I walked in , should have walked out ! First I notice 1 chile Relleno rice and beans for $12.49 I was like wth??? So we get seated .. I see on the menu you can get a chile Relleno and enchilada for 10.99 .. No Sense . So I order a Chile Relleno burrito for 5.49 ask for it wet and extra cheese inside and they put this nasty burnt seed chile on top . I barely found a piece of chile ... When I found out that we we were going to SoCal for a graduation and that we would be in the Rancho Cucamonga area, I was super excited. You know why? The 2009 spring season of television's finest show was filmed in this area. No, it's not CSI. No, it's not Heroes. It's one of television's longest running, and first reality program COPS. I told people that I wanted to be on Cops before we left, and to make sure to tune to see if we got on. So, after eating at the Olive Garden for lunch, I decided I wanted to get my eat on at a burrito place. We drove out of our hotel, and made our way to the direction of Rancho Cucamonga. I could feel that my wish would be soon be granted. I would be on Cops -- not as someone being arrested, but as someone that would gawk and hope I could be in the background. We didn't get too far, and we saw Fredy's Tacos Restaurant, and decided that it was close enough to Rancho Cucamonga, and I headed-in and ordered a carnitas burrito. Within minutes, it was ready for me to pick-up and to take back to the hotel. Almost miraculously, someone with a SWAT vest came into the restaurant and my heart began to beat quickly. This was the moment. On the LCD screen in the restaurant, like magic, the opening sequence of Cops started and the image of a man inside a police car with the Rancho Cucamonga PD logo on the side came on the screen. My adrenaline started pumping. Then, I came back to reality. The "cop" was a 7-year-old with a play SWAT vest and handcuffs on the front. The opening sequence of Cops faded to commercial, and I walked-out, drove back to the hotel, and ate my rectangular shaped burrito that was relatively decent. I had a huge 48-ounce horchata, too, and that in itself was criminal. Needless to say, I'm still on Yelp, and we didn't make it on Cops. Oh well. Next time, I guess! read more

While the wet burrito I got was quite delicious, the wait time to get my food was abysmal..we waited nearly 40 minutes for our food while the two orders ahead of us were out in less than half the time..I'm not sure if we'll come back..but I do believe in second chances, so we'll see. 3 out of 5 read more

I usually don't do updates, but I feel like this extra star is well-deserved in this case. I have been surprised. If it were my own choice, after my first experience eating here, I probably would have not come back. However, I'm in the area now (actually down the street) once a week with my dad, and we eat here every time. I've tried different things on the menu, and the food just seems to be of better quality every time. Depending on how hungry I am, I either order one of two things. First is the plate of three mini tacos (asada) or the three rolled tacos with guac. No other way to explain it, really. The meat's of good quality and flavor. I always get rice instead of beans. I suck up the rice like a vacuum, it's so tasty. The alternative to these are the crunchy shell tacos that come with sour cream/cheese/guacamole if you want. Those are also really good. The other is the beef flautas (you get three of them) with rice/beans. I get all rice, though, as I said above. They come topped with a lot of sour cream/guacamole. I love guacamole. Who doesn't? I'm sooo glad my dad kept bringing me here. I actually look forward to eating here now! Never had slow service after the first time. read more

For starters, my husband and I ordered to eat in the restaurant and waited for about 45 minutes for it. When the girl who took our order finally came to our table, she said she would check on it. She came back to our table and brought it packed to go. My husband asked why it was bagged and she said because that's what we wanted. He pulled out the receipt and it said 'eat-in'. She took the receipt to the back and spoke with whomever about it and came back to apologize. The friends we were with told us we could just go back to their place and eat since they had already finished their food. So, we ate the food. It was okay. However, later that night, I ended up with stomach pains. Up until this point, I had never had FOOD POISONING before so I didn't know what signs to look for. I was literally on the toilet for 3 hours. And my stomach still hurt after I thought I was finished. My husband's body didn't start rejecting the food until the afternoon of the next day. I live in the bay area, where everywhere you turn, you find delicious authentic food. This isn't the case in this area. I have tried several different places that have failed to impress me, until now. Fredy's has the best chilaquiles I have ever had in So Cal. I cannot wait to come back and try more dishes. They have an extensive menu ranging from breakfast dishes to lunch dishes. The ladies here are very friendly and attentive. This restaurant offers a large food menu as well as beer. The setting is casual with Spanish music playing loudly on the speakers. My family and I ordered tacos and quesdillas. We sat down after placing our order and cashier quickly brought us chips and salsa. She brought us our food soon after. While eating, I noticed her making licuados which looked great from a distance. I got my sister's attention to tell her how good it looked. After the cashier delivered the guest their licuado she poured the rest of what was in the blender in a cup, brought it to our table for us to drink and said she noticed us looking at it. To us, this was a great customer service experience. She made use of what would have probably been wasted and promoted the product. It was amazing as well! With the family, I planned on partaking of some Mexican food at Juanita III down the street. Unfortunately, due to the heat (105 degrees) and no indoor seating we had to change plans. My wife saw Fredy's on the way and suggested we go back. Other than the AC working less than optimally, we had a great meal. I had the Fredy's special burrito, carne asada with olla beans, avocado, cilantro, and onions. It was just the right size and both the green and red salsas were flavorful. My daughter had a jumbo shrimp cocktail which looked great. My son (per usual) had a bean and cheese burrito which met his needs. My wife tried steak picado, a huge plate! She could only eat about one third. Lots of veggies; however, it appeared they just mixed them with leftover carne asada. Along with her legit Corona - ice cold mug rimmed with chile salt which was also inside, she did not feel so well afterward. Nevertheless, we would definitely come back and maybe try different dishes. Very authentic and reasonably priced! read more
