I just had The worst customer service experience ever issuing a simple exchange. What could have been a simple transaction turned out to be the store clerk unreasonably blaming me for issuing the exchange online instead of in store even though it gave me the option to dropping it in store. She clearly didn't know what she was doing and was embarrassed in front of her colleagues and took it out on a customer. Hopefully this lady learned something today and treats the next customer with more respect. read more

So my wife loves Free People and it's sister companies. Clothes are always trendy but are a bit pricey if you ask me. Associates are always friendly and welcoming. Just wish they can show my wife the exit, not the new inventory lol. The store layout is easy to navigate through but has very limited seating which isn't good for me as I tend to wait a long time for my fashionista wife to decide on the next outfit or two to purchase. This location is always neat and organized. It has an excellent location as it is situated between the Nordstroms and Neiman Marcus. Will probably be back again as my wife likes to stay on top of fashion. The selection here is better than La Jolla- but the service is so bad that I just have to come here to see the items and then purchase online. When I came in the store there were four girls working who were taking selfies behind the register. After about an hour I asked for help to be told "everything we have is on the floor". That's probably true but how hard is it to check? Dressing rooms are messy, sets are the wrong sizes, it's a mess in here. read more

Hooray they're finally here! I've been to the location in Manhattan Beach and I am so glad that they have finally opened up 10 minutes away, it's a good and bad thing. The employees who work here are all so friendly and dress so well. There are so many options, the store is huge. My fiancé came in to buy me a birthday gift and he said that the team was so kind and helped him find the perfect gift right away. That's so nice of them, especially since I know he probably felt really awkward or confused. Thank you guys so much for helping him out I love my new Free People tops! read more

Had a bit of trouble finding it since it is upstairs tucked away off the main path...but i called them and i found it. this location is huge! i usually shot at Carlsbad (1st chioce) or UTC (2nd choice) but i had to come to fashion valley today...so took care of this return. I work in this mall and go shopping often. In the 5-10 times I've wondered in this store this year, NOT ONCE was I acknowledged. NOT. ONCE. A few times, girls walking in after me were immediately greeted. Once, an employee watched me inspect a sweater, looked me up and down, and walked away. Can't make this stuff up! I'm a plus size woman, not always dressed to the nines (which shouldn't determine the level of service I get), but I do occasionally have money that I would LIKE TO SPEND on expensive clothes, and Free People tops/sweaters often run big enough for me to fit. But I suppose they don't want fat girls wearing their clothes, even though fat girl money spends the same. I will take my business where it's wanted, where the employees don't make me feel less than. read more

This is my 2nd review of this site and its even worse than the 1st Their service is beyond horrible, totally incompetent, completely discourteous, and deliberately uncooperative. For some unknown reason, they shipped my Christmas order to Mexico City instead of Albuquerque New Mexico. I have had to contact them 6 times, that's right 6 separate phone calls, placed on hold each time of course, about the non-delivery of one single item. I still have not received the item, they refused to give me a refund for the item they couldn't deliver to me at all, let alone on time, and they told me if I disputed the charge they would block my account. In summary: NO PRODUCT, NO REFUND AND ABSOLUTELY NO COOPERATION. I will never try to do business with this company again and I suggest you think carefully before giving them your money for any reason whatsoever read more

Walked in to this store at 8:50pm just now. My little sister and I were shopping for an Easter dress. We weren't greeted or even glanced at. The three sales associates were very busy discussing whether one of them should buy a sleep set for her little sister. So she ran back and forth from the sale area, and into the back to get her wallet. I saw a dress that I wanted to try on, but after being ignored I felt like I would be too much of a burden to attempt to buy an item 10 minutes before closing. And I totally get it, yes, it's been a long shift and you want to go home. But if you can make a sale before the store officially closes, why not jump on it? Really disappointed with this store. FREE PEOPLE is claiming they have not received the return. I can only conclude that the employee stole the merchandise as she claimed that the item was already showing up as returned in the system. This is a relatively large Free People. Most of the others that I have been to were on the smaller, "boutique" scale. There is a great selection of merchandise, and they even have a back room dedicated to one of a kind, beaded items. Many of these have been ordered online or returned, but so many were stunning. The sales associate was incredibly helpful and put up with me trying numerous things on. She provided her opinions on some bralettes for the trapeze dresses. read more

Such a great store! It has a lot of clothes that fit my style. I can even find the perfect clothes for when I'm trying out new looks. I really enjoy the fit of their button downs, I think that it's a good fit for women with my shape. The employees there are really nice and don't harass you but will help you in an instant when you need it. They have great sales (if you can catch them) as well so if you're lucky, you can find some great things at a great price. My fiancé and I came to your shop in the fashion valley mall today looking for a wedding dress. We walked in a bit hesitant and the we were greeted by Jess. She was so welcoming and jumped so effortlessly into our conversation about a dress I was holding. She then asked us if she could help us find a perfect dress. With the information she had gathered she grabbed 5 dresses and said they were waiting for us in the dressing room. The first dress she found for me was amazing!! I came out of the changing room and Jess was so excited and made the whole experience so fun! We expressed that it was a bit out of our price range and needed to walk around to think it out so she suggested to put it on hold. We came back and she came straight up to us with great news. Always a positive experience when I shop here, especially when I find a gem in the sale section. The staff is friendly and always offers to get a room going for me, even I only have one shirt in hand. Last weekend I went in w my toddler and our stroller, and the girl who was helping me made sure to give me the big dressing room which really helped out. The absolute worst customer service. One of the girls that works there is terrible. She has terrible attitude is never helpful and complains about having to help you. She has the most unfriendly demeanor. I have put back clothes two times because of her customer service. I refuse to shop at this location again. Look out for the cashier who looks like she parties at Coachella with her numerical and star tattoos. She obviously is bored and doesn't take her job seriously. Wow! Can I just say for the first time EVER I was actually greeted with a smile when I walked through the door?? I'm just blown away because every free people I've ever shopped in, everyone has that "too cool for school" attitude. But not this location. I was instantly greeted with the cutest girl ever! Her name was Lindsey! Can I just say customer service at it's finest!! She went over and beyond. She was so easy to talk to and can tell she loves her job. And the other employees were just as sweet as her! I couldn't believe it!! After making my purchase I called my husband & told him about my experience there. I usually order everything online from FP to avoid the "cool girl" syndrome in store. But not anymore. I'm shopping at this location. I live in Del Mar & I don't care how far it is.
