Haven't eaten here in a while and was reminded why I stopped coming. Ordered a bowl and lrg queso and chips = $26 total The whole bowl tasted like dirt cause the cilantro was rinsed correctly. Puddle of water on the bottle of my bottom of my bowl cause the lettuce wasn't strained enough. So basically a bowl of dirty water is what I paid for. Queso was bland and watery. I had a monster burrito which was delicious it had: Spanish rice, veggies, refried beans, and queso. The queso does not cost extra which is a bonus compared to Chipotle. They came around and cleaned tables and had fast service. The only reason I have a 4 star review is that I heard the customers sitting at a table behind me saying that their burrito was not wrapped properly and was open on both ends. I did not have this issue but that is so important when it comes to enjoying a burrito and can be a real mess. read more

The selection of ingredients is fairly limited. For the price, a bigger selection would be nice. The dining area is clean, with plenty of seating. The music is fun, but not overwhelming. As someone who used to work at a young age and hung out with friends at work, I get it. But today's experience was different. So when I came in, I was the only one in the place at the time ordering and it was all younger staff at the front waiting for things to do. I ordered for myself and got another burrito for my husband. And the staff acted so annoyed and really rushed me. It felt like they rather hang out with each other rather than guiding me through the process since I don't really order Freebirds often. I had so much anxiety that I apologized profusely throughout the experience while they continued to be annoyed with me. It didnt occur to me until I got into my car wondering why I was the one apologizing when they just wanted to hang out with each other and I just wanted to order food. I applaud this establishment for hiring others and being fully staffed. But I hope that the staff was more patient and willing to help their customers in the future. read more

HORRIBLE SERVICE. The employee that was preparing our food started physically throwing chips onto the trays. There were chips covering to tacos on my kids plates from him throwing them from a distance as if he was playing with their food. The manager condoned in his behavior stating that he was throwing food because they were "busy". She never apologized for his behavior. She simply said that they were busy and that's that. Freebirds has all of my taste buds saying AMEN!!! The atmosphere and the staff made everything a great experience. One of the staff "Cody" greeted me with excitement and enthusiasm....which in turn changed the gloom to a grateful smile. The burrito bowl was very flavorful and fresh. I know most bad reviews are all the same. Somebody made you mad or was rude to you and your just gonna get even. I con honestly say that was not my experience. The employees here wee great. Not reason to complain and they were very nice. The food it's self didn't taste bad. So what was the issue? I guess you could say it was the delivery. I basically ended up with burrito soup in a tortilla. Do you have any idea how difficult that is to eat? It just goes every where. Maybe the problem is me and what I ordered, but I honestly did not expect to end up dripping because of a burrito. the only other complaint i could have is the music they were playing. It was like bad reggae, and I'm not even sure where you find bad reggae. Arguably the best fast casual chain burrito in the game. (Yes, better than Chipotle) They also have Dr. Pepper and large cups, which Chipotle does not have. I haven't been in a while, because fast casual burritos can get expensive, but I used to go all the time in college. I still love it now. Two days since its opening, and this place is packed. Like a well oiled machine, the restaurant staff effortlessly handled the long line of customers. The restaurant was clean and is laid out much better than the 1960 location. The staff was very friendly and stoked to have such a packed house. My wife and I were looking for a quick bite to eat for lunch today and we settled on freebirds. She had the burrito and I had the nachos. All in all we were not thrilled but not upset. It was really just mediocre. The staff was nice but nothing to write home about. The lids were completely empty, so I spilled Dr Pepper in my lap because that's Murphy's Law. They only have about 6 or 7 tables open for seating due to Covid, yet we still had to clean the table ourselves prior to sitting down to eat. They weren't too busy so you would think someone would have cleaned the table. Neither one of us finished the food because it was honestly just blah.
