David did an excellent job of taking care of my Service at my appointment. I wish the service cashiers/check-in employees had the same care and service skills David had. There were other Toyota service staff who saw me waiting for a shuttle and tried to help which was much more than the Service cashiers did. The 2 stars is for my shuttle driver leaving without me, and the lack of concern & accountability the service cashiers showed when I told them what happened. Waiting inside a noisy lobby with a sleeping toddler while being 6 months pregnant is not the ideal atmosphere for me, but I tried to make it work by keeping her stroller moving to keep her asleep while I waited for my shuttle to arrive. The worst part of this experience (aside from waiting and having to walk back and forth because they don't know how to effectively corral customers) is when the rude female cashier condescendingly asked me if I followed the driver her co-worker quickly pointed out to me when they called my name. First of all, I don't work here so I don't know what the workflow is nor do I know the employees who work here. Secondly, I didn't expect to have to chase my shuttle driver with a toddler sleeping in a stroller in my condition. Lastly, when the shuttle driver came back and called out "my name", it wasn't even my name! Might be why I didn't hear him the first time. Laziest customer service reps/cashiers I've ever encountered. I give David 5 stars btw, and he saved the Service department that day. Tom Caranci and his team in service REALLY took care of me with a windshield problem in my new 2012 Highlander. Ordered and installed a replacement without a fuss or bother. Install is perfect, and was finished when they said it would be. Could not have asked for a dang thang more! But the most impressive thing was the number of service writers, and how willing they were to serve you, answer questions, provide customer service. A HUGE change from many dealers I have been in. Also had some dealings with the sales side before obtaining my new vehicle, and found them to be without the car salesman attitude. Overall, great experience, very positive, and in consideration of how long Toyotas last, I expect to be a customer for many years to come!!! I originally went to the Toyota in Grapevine, but the girl I spoke to over the phone and the guy helping me when I was there were rude. I didn't want to go back there so that's when I called Freeman Toyota. The guy who helped me with my appointment was super nice and extremely helpful and offered additional options to help work with my schedule and needs. I came late, completely my fault, but they were willing to take me anyway even though they were busy. I didn't have enough time to get signed in and have the shuttle take me to work though so I had to leave. Again, my fault. I called to reschedule for later that day and apologized about everything and the girl was super nice about it which made me feel a little less embarrassed about coming back. When I got there, they knew who I was but were still super friendly and made me feel comfortable and less stressed. All the people I came across were young, so I don't know if that helps to identify and give them recognition for their top of the line customer service. They were also very knowledgeable and informative on top of being extremely helpful and friendly. I was quoted with accurate times and prices and given recommendations on what needed attention on my car with a breakdown of what it all meant and the cost and time and the level of importance without feeling pressured. Oh, and the price I paid here was much less than what my total was added up to at Toyota of Grapevine. They were both incredibly helpful during our car shopping and subsequent purchases. Buying vehicles can be intense and often times the sales people feel like just that... sales. Ordered a tail light assembly on Wednesday. Was informed by my service manager, he would have to order the part as it was out of stock. Received a wake up call from Desmond on Thursday morning, the part was in and to just come by whenever I wanted. I felt a little skeptical without having a service appointment. I arrived at the dealership at 11:30 on Thursday, promptly greeted by Desmond. One hour later I was on my way home, completely satisfied. I am so very grateful for this experience. When I filled out some info about a trade-in and was looking for a new car to possibly buy, these guys responded back within a day. But when I emailed them asking about a recall and how i can get my current car fix, they don't respond and it has been a week now. I guess only if they feel they can make a sale then they'll deem that you're worth it for them to lift their fingers and type back. I like this Toyota. I dread having to get my car checked up but never coming here. Everything is always so shiny and the staff is always friendly. They have staff members that speak all sorts of different language so that helps so much. They have lots of seating for those who are waiting and coffee and popcorn as well. I was waiting for an oil change and my car was quite dirty. They brought my car back and it was so shiny I didn't know it was mine! I had an appointment to have my recently purchased Toyota serviced. Arrived at my 7:00am appointment 15 minutes early and there were cars already lined up. When the garage doors were open everyone drove in and I walked inside to inquire what the process was for those who had an appointment. Of the numerous employees walking and Standing around and no one seemed interested in fielding my question so I asked for the manager. He walked me to the garage area and honestly in my opinion I was made to feel foolish and stupid for not being able to figure out their systems on my own. One of the employees seemed to have a demeaning attitude towards me and I had to tell him 3 times which car was mine. Terrible Service and I'm a brand anew first time Toyota owner. Unbelievably horrible customer service! I had purchased a vehicle from here in 2007 and once again in 2016. The problem stemmed from a recall that was issued on the 2007 vehicle, I was informed they would be ordering me a part for my vehicle and I would call periodically since they had also told me it would be about a year before it would come in. Finally on my last call I was told my warranty for the recalled part was expired!!!! No assistance for my vehicle was offered. I never received any communication that my part had come in. Maybe it all comes down to who you deal with, but I had a great experience with them. They came recommended thru another source, particularly Gary Hopper. Gary was on his way out for the day due to family illness and connected me with Darell Shaffer. Darell made the deal on his own, with no going back & forth. He went to bat to get the most trade in, which Jay Lasiter helped him pull off, then connected me with Primo Sanchez in Finance, who got me a GREAT interest rate and terms on the loan. The whole process was very straight-forward, no B/S, no pressure, with a "here's what we can do..." style. I can't remember ever buying a vehicle (new or used) that went so smoothly and didn't involve a lot of wailing and nashing of teeth. It was just the opposite here. This Review is for Freeman Toyota "Service Department" I called and made an appointment for November 20,2019 with Freeman Toyota, 204 NE Loop 820, Hurst, TX 76053 because I needed to have a State Inspection. The appointment was set for 9:15 am and I arrived a few minutes early. To make a long and awkward story short, I waited three hours for the State Inspection and no one checked on me or provided an update. I finally inquired about my vehicle and I was told that there were lights that came on my dash board and that they were working on it still. He said that it shouldn't be too much longer and then walked off. I went to the check out counter to wait for my vehicle. While I was waiting the two ladies at the desk were holding personal conversations and talking about other customers. After about ten minutes or so of listening to them, I finally asked them to call a manager / supervisor letting them know that I had been there three hours just for a State Inspection. The manager finally came out but he was not much help either. By the time my vehicle was brought around, actually, it wasn't brought around, I was given my keys and was basically told "to go find it". Now, by the time I get to my vehicle, I noticed several problems. - One, the lights, on my dash board, were on, even though I didn't go there with lights on my dash board, The lights were "VSC, Trac Off, and Check Engine". I went back inside and told them about the lights and by this time, the manager was no where in site and the person who scheduled my appointment was also still missing in action. As I drove off, finally, I noticed that, - Two, my wind deflector on the front of the hood was broken and it was moving and flapping in the wind. - And, Three, I noticed that my cd was stuck in my cd player and the player would not eject the disc. I called Toyota and spoke to the same manager again, he did not seem concerned and he never once apologized for the overall experience. - I mentioned the amount of time that I was at the dealer and his excuse was that it took long because of the "lights that came on my dash board". But, I didn't go there with those lights, "VSC, Trac Off, and Check Engine", on, so that makes the experience worse. - I mentioned the broken wind deflector and his response was "I guess we shouldn't have washed your vehicle". I didn't ask for my vehicle to be washed, I just wanted the State Inspection. I told him that I've gone through car washes before without any issues and his response was "that our car wash is powerful". I asked about them replacing the wind deflector because I couldn't drive around with it broken and flapping in the wind. And he responded with some non committal response. That I should just come back in to the dealer.. Why would I drive over there and spend more time if he didn't have the part that would fit my vehicle? He should have checked the computer and looked to see if there was a wind deflector that would fit my vehicle in stock, if not, ordered it, and then scheduled an appointment for them to replace it. At the very least, he should have offered to at least remove the wind deflector from the vehicle so that it wouldn't cause an accident by breaking off completely while I was driving. He never owned up to the problems caused by Toyota and he never apologized for the awful Toyota Experience. There is no reason why I should have had to wait three hours for a State Inspection and to leave with my vehicle damaged by Toyota. I wrote a letter to Toyota Corporate detailing the Experience and they weren't any help either. They basically told me to "work it out" with the local dealer and that they couldn't make another dealer correct an issue with a previous dealer. So, against my better judgement, I tried working it out with the local dealer. When I arrived at the dealer instead of the Manager coming out, apologizing, and promising to resolve the issues, he basically sent out someone else who had no idea of what was going on. I had to explain everything all over again. I dropped my vehicle off around 9:00 am on a Friday morning, with another appointment, and by 3:00pm, nothing was resolved. It shouldn't take that long to resolve the issues with an appointment and I was not leaving my vehicle there over night. I've been going to Freeman, off and on for the past fifteen years and there are always New Employee Faces whenever, I pass by, the Employee Turnover is Extremely High and I'm sure that the Customer Turnover is High as well. After, everything listed above, I just wanted to take my vehicle and go, I'd given Toyota enough of my Time and enough of a Chance to resolve all of the Issues. I don't know whatever happened to Customer Service? This experience should have been resolved better, Totally Disappointed with Freeman Toyota. I haven't given up totally on Toyota, but I'm done with Freeman Toyota. read more

There are a lot of bad reviews here on Yelp!, but my experience today was amazing. I was trying to help my father find a new vehicle and began canvassing the market for the best deal. The search was started online with cost analysis, TrueCar and contacting internet sales managers for quotes. Needless to say the online quoting process is either fruitless or followed by the request to go see them. Anyhow, I managed to get a quote from a couple including one from Muhammad Ahmed at Freeman. His quote was a few dollars less than the best I had at the moment, but I figured I was going to have to fight a bunch of dealer add-ons and other nonsense to get the price I wanted. I was wrong. The price quoted was very real and the best I had received and within the lower spectrum of cost based on online research. The key to me was that the dealer add-ons were reasonably priced. I know that is where the dealer makes their extra cash but some dealers get carried away with $1200 or more on basic items. All-in-all, I didn't have to haggle and saved money over any quoted price. Muhammad knew I wasn't the buyer but showed me the cars that were available at the negotiated price point. I felt like I had a real deal - no bait and switch when I came back. The deal was made on one day and the execution made on another. I gave my Dad a ride to the dealership to make the deal. We made an appointment and Muhammad greeted us promptly in the lobby. The car was pulled up and ready for a test drive. He went the extra mile to make my father comfortable and to ensure the execution of the deal was smooth. No needless upsale, no badgering on warranties and special programs. It was just a simple process from beginning to finish. We had to meet a finance guy, Blake, to finish the process. It was completely painless and super quick. I have never had a process as smooth as this. I haven't considered buying a Toyota for myself for many years. Shame on you for not being honest to us as buyers. We bought a plane tickets to come to the DFW area to buy a very specific vehicle that we spent 40k on. This is a large purchase for anyone and to have a feeling of deceit is awful. When we test drove the car-there was a hint of smoke and I asked if it was smoked in previously-the salesman told us no and so I assumed I was wrong because it wasn't very strong. Two days later the air freshener you were using to deceive us wore off and there a a strong and very evident smell of smoke. We are left with a 40k car that we were supposed to be excited to own but we can't even enjoy driving in it. We rarely purchase from dealerships and this has concreted our rationale not to do so in the future. I deeply hope you consider your buyers-that you see them as people and not just the next sale and you choose honesty and not deceive anyone else. After the Toyota Highlander hybrid that I purchased there turned into a rare (for Toyota) lemon with electrical gremlins, Toyota Berkeley was unable to identify the problem after TWO days working on the car. I reached out to Freeman, where I purchased the vehicle, and Ian couldn't have handled the situation better - providing me with a rental while they successfully identified fixed the car's issues (which weren't a Toyota problem - the installer of the alarm system that the dealer offers had badly botched the setup, causing wires to cross). Grateful for Freeman's excellent service and Ian's help getting the issues resolved - he was a pleasure to work with. read more

I purchased my second Toyota vehicle here through Giulia Paredes and I cannot be happier with my purchase! Besides the fact that Toyota vehicles are very reliable and have recently become much more stylish, I appreciated the way I was treated during the buying process. The first day I had met with Giulia, I had initially mentioned to her that I was not ready to make a decision that day on my purchase and just wanted to look at their 4Runner inventory and how the numbers would play out based on my down payment, APR, etc. Throughout the whole time I was there, I did not feel pressured one bit to make a decision then and there. Also, Giulia is very knowledgeable in regards to the vehicles and their specs. Any question that I had in regards to the features the 4Runner included she was able to give a prompt and detailed response to. I was so pleased with my initial visit, that I returned a few days later ready to make a purchase. Giulia was able to get all the paperwork ready and get me out the door in a short amount of time. I am not very tech savvy when it comes to the navigation, radio, a/c controls and I had mentioned this to Giulia my first day meeting with her. She was very thoughtful and remembered I had shared this with her, so before I left with my new vehicle, she showed me how to work all the controls and also how to set up Toyota Entune. Also, I have returned for an oil change to that location and the service department was able to have my service done in about 30-45 min, which seems as great timing for me. read more

Now that service advisor no longer works there, which leads me to believe he was not offering the exemplary service that I have come to expect from Freeman Toyota. I am no longer completely satisfied and will instruct others I know about my experience at this location. Although I did not buy this car (as I was active duty and living in Colorado) I have bought from Freeman before and currently reside again in the HEB area. Worse customer service ever!! I was trying to get a new car key because the one I have right now is completely destroyed. First time I went there, they gave me an estimate for just a key almost $400 and they said that I have to bring my car there. So, I did. I went back home and manage to get my key to start the engine. Was not easy by the way. When I went back to there, they then told me they can't fix my key because it's too late now. It was 6:00 and they told me I took too long to get there. I don't think they understood how hard it was for me to start my car. The first time I went there, they told me it would take an hour. It is 6:00, they close at 7:00, so I don't see the problem. I was there before they close so they should be able to help me. Also $400 for a key is not cheap. I'm a paying customer willing to pay $400 for a key and they told me to bring my car there, which I did, and now they can't help me anymore. Just wow. I do not recommend this place at all. They really expected me to go home with the key shown in the picture. read more

My phone would not communicate with the entune 3.0 system in the van and was treated with disdain from the sales staff when I first let them know it wasn't connecting. I called the Toyota tech support number to work with them and they were unable to assist me and directed me back to the dealership. I returned 2 days after the purchase and spent nearly 2 hours with sales staff illustrating that the problem was with the vehicle. Once the sales staff realized there was a problem they called Toyota's corporate support and found a service bulletin for the issue I am experiencing. They took the vehicle that evening and still have no idea when it will be repaired now I let my salesperson know that it is extremely disappointing to spend money on a new car that doesn't work as advertised. I requested to swap the van out for another one that functions properly and was told that is not an option. In the meantime, I was put in a 4Runner with a third row. While I certainly appreciate a loaner that fits my family, it is extremely difficult to use it as a primary family car when you have 4 kids that are getting dropped off/picked up at school a 4Runner does not meet our expectations. One final note, in addition to issues with the entune system, I was told that my vehicle was eligible for the Verizon WiFi, upon activation I received a message that it wasn't eligible. Additionally, the pre-collision detection system is not operating. When I asked the sales person to demonstrate it and test it with me, he was completely unwilling. At this point, I have no reasonable assurance that the vehicle will operate as advertised. In fact, I am confident that when I come to pick it up after the entune system is fixed I will turn right back around and have in your shop getting something else fixed. Unfortunately, I don't feel like I am a priority for Freeman Toyota at this point. read more

My previous 4Runner was involved in a freak accident, and Desmond in the service department went above and beyond to ensure that our vehicle was in exceptional condition before it left. There were many wheels in motion, and he maintained constant contact with us, keeping us informed at all times. I recently decided I was ready for a new car, and although I was certain I wanted another 4Runner, I wasn't sure what options were most important. While I was looking at options, my husband was dealing with the finance department. Because he is a numbers guy himself, my husband is a no nonsense kind of person. He is always pleased with his dealings with Freeman, and the finance team make it easy to know you're getting a fair deal. Craig in sales was a trooper! He answered all of my questions, and although I was certain we would have to have my dream car brought in, he blew me away when he drove up in my dream car. He listened, and somehow figured out exactly what I wanted, before I even knew, and even pointed out that what was important to me, could be found in a less costly edition. When the papers were signed, it was late in the evening, and because I'd previously driven a 4Runner, I knew how to program the navigation and bluetooth. Most salesmen would have been hands off because the deal was done, but Craig insisted on spending the extra time setting everything up. It seems that the times when I need to schedule my tune-ups, something is wrong with their "system." The scheduling system is down or computers are down or "most of the phone lines are down." Problem is, this somehow becomes MY PROBLEM with statements like, "can you call back" or "you can't leave a message now" or (today) "I'm going to have to physically take down your info and walk around and find him." She said this statement two separate times, because she wanted me to say 'oh no...I'll just call back,' ...but I didn't. It's insulting and ironic that this is the Service center. It's been 1.5 hours and still no call back. We should also talk about the "dedicated" rep that gets assigned to you for routine maintenance. Freeman is certainly not the only dealership who does this, but it seems like such an outdated way to do business. I mean, I understand the point if you are repeatedly bringing in your car for major repairs. But when you drive up to get an oil change and ONLY your assigned rep can get you checked in? Why? What a waste of time...someone literally has to walk around trying to find your rep instead of just signing me in. Silly and antiquated. As far as the actual work, I have no complaints, which is why I'm giving them three stars. read more

Went here for my 40,000 mile maintenance this morning with my 3.5 year old and 10 month old! I was dreading it but exceptionally happy. I was greeted and taken care of as soon as I pulled in, was walked back to the kids section (which was sooo perfect for my little ones) and offered coffee and popcorn. Everything was very clean.
