Came here my first day on the island since this was really one of the places at the top of my list. We were gonna dine in but decided to take the food to go and head down to Brewers beach. BUTTTTTT what I really came to say was get the conch fritters and not just one order you'll be mad!!! I ate at so many places while on the island..... but I couldn't get over the conch fritters they were just really that damn good!!! For entrees we both got the blackened snapper which came with rice and a corn salsa which was 10/10. The drinks are also made well had French75 and it hit the spot can't wait to go back, also the food reheats well!!!

Amazing food! Sat at the bar at lunch and it was slow but the place is pretty cool. The rest of the people seemed to be local which is a good sign in regards to the kitchen Will be back!

This restaurant was recommended from our time share. It is a cute quaint place which makes you feel like you are in NOLA. Nice decor, and the staff were great! We ordered the zucchini fries to start and I got the pasta and chicken dish. This was delicious! The zucchini fries were addicting! We ate them all! My chicken pasta dish was bursting with flavor! So good!! Justen also ordered the short rib with a cheesy grit. The short rib was very tender the grits had a little funk from the cheese. Still delicious! We were told that the restaurant is no longer acknowledging the free appetizer for staying at Wyndham. Our server also told us that their pay was cut..this was disheartening to hear. I hope the new owners change some of this practices. All in all a lovely experience!

Went to French Quarter Bistro for dinner tonight. Was just OK, not up to the hype in some of the reviews... we arrived early for our reservation, which was no problem, because the restaurant was mostly empty at the time. We were seated quickly and Vicki, our waitress, came by immediately and took drink orders, and provided information about the nightly specials. Service was good, attentive, but not intrusive. We ordered a gin martini and escargot as an appetizer. The cocktail was good, the escargot not so much. The escargot was presented in a low rimmed dish in a watered down butter sauce. The dish did not have much flavor. The tasted garlic bread on the side was great!! We also added a bottle of chablis to finish the dinner. The wine was served at the appropriate temperature and was good. One observation about the wine list... It is comprised of mostly large producers, who emphasize volume over quality, so while there is something for everyone on the wine list, it is not that impressive. For dinner, we ordered the sea bass special and the local snapper, blackened. The Seabass was very good, accompanied by a vegetable risotto. The fish was prepared well, but the sauce on top was very bland. The local snapper, blackened, was overcooked, and the fish was a bit tough. The sides of corn and rice were well prepared, but again lacked depth of flavor. For dessert, we ordered the pecan pie, à la mode... The ice cream was delicious, but the pie was just OK. All in all, it was an OK meal, the price was not bad, but we likely would not go back, given the other dinner options on the island.

We came here for dinner on a Sunday night and it wasn't too busy. We were greeted right away and our waitress was so kind and friendly. We started off with wine and bruschetta which was tasty. For our entrees I ordered the short ribs and grits while my husband had the steak au poivre. My husband's steak was good, but the real star was the short ribs. They were fall off the bone and so moist. The sauce was fantastic and the grits were amazing. We finished with beignets which were delicious! Would recommend!

This restaurant was our favorite place we ate while on the island! Not only was the server the best, the food was amazing! Highly recommended the following: Shrimp & Grits Fried zucchini (so light and crispy!) Gumbo Coconut shrimp Banana bread pudding Chocolate brownie The only dish they wasn't my favorite was the crab cakes. I've had some amazing ones and this one just didn't cut it.

    Double cut grilled pork chop

Loved the food. Especially the French onion soup. Had the double pork chop, beautiful. The atmosphere was nice, laid back. Sevice was on point.

Down and Dirty: If you're in St. Thomas, no matter where on the island, make reservations to eat here. You will NOT be disappointed. BEST FOOD AND SERVICE ANYWHERE! Service: Manager/Hostess was amazing and friendly and helped us make reservations same day. Remembered us when we came back and we sat immediately. Miles was our server and he was PHENOMENAL. Great recommendations, no bull shit and really took care of our group of 6. Owner came by multiple times and checked on us and helped Miles out here and there. It was a busy night but you wouldn't have known. Everything came out quickly and was delicious. Everyone worked together to make sure all patrons were cared for and felt like family! Food: BEST... FOOD ... EVA!!!! We got the escargot, gumbo and french onion soup as an appetizer. Best french onion soup ever had anywhere and the escargot had great flavor and not drowned in garlic butter like most I have tried. It also was served with home made focaccia bread. So good!! Entree's are pictured and everything was delicious. I don't even like pimento cheese but got the short ribs with spicy pimento cheese grits and OMG . The meat had so much flavor too. Just fell right off the bone! One of us got the chicken Alfredo and the sauce was LIGHTS OUT delicious. You'd think an Italian spot would know how to make the best Alfredo...Nope! This place makes the most amazingly, creamy, full of flavor sauce. I wish I could buy it by the bottle and take it with me. The special was a crab stuffed grouper and man, another good one! Great flavors, cooked to perfection. Dessert; we weren't hungry but couldn't pass on the beignets in a french restaurant right?! Miles tried to talk us into the banana bread pudding but none of really liked banana bread pudding and didn't have the appetite for both desserts. When the dessert came out, banana bread pudding came too. We reminded him we didn't order that and he insisted to keep it, on the house. We all tried it and SO GLAD we did. Another OMG moment! We all ate every last bite!! You have to save room for it and order even if you don't like bread pudding normally. The beignets we so warm and powder sugar clouds all over it. Even better was dipping the beignets in the sauce on the bread pudding plate. I don't think I have eaten anywhere in my life EVER that had amazing service, and the best food ever tasted...app, entree and dessert. Trifecta of perfection. Definitely coming back here every time I'm here. Big thanks to Miles and the rest of the staff for making our last meal on St. Thomas the most amazing!

My friend ordered this but I wanted to snatch it off her plate. BBQ Platter: There were ribs, shrimp, chicken and a papaya apple slaw. It all tasted so good. The meat on the ribs fell off the bone. The shrimp was perfectly fried and HUGE and the chicken breast was moist. Damn this was good. Catch of the day was Wahoo served with some veggies and saffron rice. It was so good. Oh, the wahoo was topped with a pineapple pico de Gallo. Amazing! Dessert: Crème Brûlée: So good and a good size! Papaya Key Lime Pie: Huge and delicious. Get it! it's very sad sad for me,…read moreAnd eventually, probably sad for them, the owners i've been coming to this restaurant probably since they opened, certainly I've been coming there for over 15 years The food is still as good, the waiters and waitresses are still as helpful & charming, but it is the attitude from the management has changed. Dollars yet no appreciation to loyalty. First of all, unlike all of the other expensive restaurants in St. John, The Teressa doesn't use Resy or OpenTable. When you call, the machine tell you to NOT leave a message for a reservation. The record tell you, you can email or call.(assuming you can get in touch with them) but when you do make a reservation with an email, it's not quick to get a reply over the email. Apparently they only reply ONCE a day. They don't allow American Express, and if I remember correctly, even if you use a Visa or a Mastercard, I believe they charge you for using a credit card! I could be mistaken about that, but my memory is they do charge now for paying with a credit card The restaurant is my opinion is now gotten very pennywise pound foolish. What I mean by that is when I order escargot, let's face it people who eat escargot, love it for the butter and garlic. At this restaurant they give you ONE roll with the escargot, if you want another if I remember last year, it was a DOLLAR, maybe more. Keep in mind there's nothing cheap about eating at this restaurant. but the worst problem is, they just don't seem to CARE. They believe they know business much better than every other restaurants in St. John. Restaurants like Extra-virgin, Zozo's, Morgan's Mango, and La Tapa, because all of those restaurants put the customers ahead of the dollars. I won't say that I was treated RUDELY , but be certain if you check the most recent YELP reviews in the last two years you will notice that many of the people that were unhappy, felt that they were VERY rude. all that I will say is over a decade of being a loyal customer they make me feel like I'm nothing special to them I'm coming back to St. John for the next six weeks, and yes, I will be going to the terrace, but a lot of the charm from dealing with the management makes me less excited for going there. Sad, because this has up to recently, one of my favorite restaurants. The owner, the woman in my case, is killing her gem. Almost all restaurants I go to tell us they consider my wife and I, a very low maintenance easy going customer. Many have told me they wish all their customers were as easy as my wife and I. I hope things will change, but after patiently tried to explain my problems with getting a reservation I have a feeling their ego is much bigger then my relatively small needs. A FOLLOW UP when I made the most recent reservation, I explained to this woman, likely an owner, how difficult it's been for me to make a reservation. I also told her that I only have problems making reservation at The Terrace now, and that I go to all of the best restaurants every year. I thought I was giving her useful information, as if it's hard for me, chances are it's also hard for others. If you check recent reviews, you will see I must be right about a lot of what I felt. I wasn't yelling. I would never yell at any restaurant let alone a restaurant I'm planning on going to eat at, a restaurant I used to adore. I was just explaining why it's difficult for myself, and very, possibly many other people. I then said Ok, I guess I'll keep the reservation I had, even though it was not what I was trying to accomplish. I said OK. Have a nice day. That's It! 10 minutes later I got an email saying she'll PASS ON MY RESERVATION ALTOGETHER! I immediately called and ask, was my reservation canceled?! The girl said YES you were yelling at me, she said. I said I wasn't yelling, I would never yell at a restaurant, in fact as a kidI used to work at top level places. you learn as a kid, especially in this business you need to be charming. I said I never yelled, I was just trying to EXPLAIN how I'm having problems with ONLY your restaurant. I said am I not allowed to tell you what I consider a problem? Am I only allowed to give you compliments? I said what do you think I said that was yelling, I asked? To that she said, i'm too busy, and hung up! By the way, when I called, it was about three in the afternoon maybe 4 o'clock their time I'm sure it was extremely busy (rolling eyes)
