They may have added some extra fries and fingers, don't know, but we were more than satisfied with the quality and quantity. Hippy Hopped Pale Ale had a nice taste of hops, kind of like a session IPA. The Mackinaw Red brew was oh so malty! It was a little cool in there.

The bread basket and meat plate were fine, but we wouldn't order them again. My son ordered the 12oz ribeye (which was nearly 60.00) and I would say at least 50% of it was fat, and his was overcooked. I ordered the flat iron, and mine was undercooked, so he ended up eating mine. The herb roasted potatoes needed seasoning and felt like something they simply tossed on the plate. My daughter's Caesar salad was as expected to a side salad. We will definitely be back and we give this a 5 must visit.

Another good lunch at Frenchie's, but a caution: stick to the Cajun tradition! The gumbo served today was unrelated to the gumbo of real Cajun cuisine. It was more of a heavy tomato soup with onions, sausage, and even beef burger. My serving had no shrimp or crab. That's a special soup--and it had a good flavor--but it wasn't gumbo. Putting a scoop of rice into it doesn't make it gumbo. You have served such good gumbo for several years; don't veer off the mark now, please. Service always good. Ambiance fine. read more
