Even the gentlemen before us apologized ahead of time by telling them "sorry, this is my first time here and I'm not sure what to order". We both said "thank you" and nothing... Poke slaps harder in Hawaii. It hits different. And Fresh Catch might slap the hardest in Oahu. I tried several of their pokes. All of them were great but I'm order of my preference it goes Creamy Wasabi, Hawaiian Blend, Kitchen Sink and lastly Spicy Ahi. The service is great too. I have wanted to try this place since I first saw them featured on Triple D. I have heard from many people that they have some of the best poke and plate lunches but it took me till 2025 to finally get to try these guys food. I was not disappointed. I just wish I had not waited this long to try them out. I mean I do live on Maui so it's not like I can just drive over. I have tried food from people that used to work for chef Reno but I wanted to try it from the source. It was just as good as I expected. We tried out the Shoyu Wasabi Poke from the case and then we also ordered the Pastele Stew Plate which came with a scoop of white rice and a scoop of potato Mac salad. The potato Mac was awesome I normally don't like most mac or potato Mac salads. I loved this one really reminded me of how was when i was a kid. The Pastele Stew was good not the best I have ever had but was good. Now the Poke was Incredible some of the freshest I have had in a long time. The flavor was good I would have liked a little more wasabi but that is just me. My girlfriend had the Katsu Ahi and Garlic Chicken which came with rice and potato Mac salad. Hers was incredible I will definetly be getting that next time. My mom got the Teriyaki Salmon. She really enjoyed it and said it was really flavor full and cooked perfectly. My daughter got the ahi and Smoked Meat Combo plate and that was really good. The interior is decorated nicely with a lot of ocean themed stuff and lots of pictures of local events whic I believe they support. I love supporting local business like this especially when they are killing it. The service was very good, they were great about explaining everything to us even though we are local was nice to know that if we were not they were happy to tell us how fresh the fish was and how everything was prepared. I've had a lot of great poke in Hawaii, but I think this spot tops the list to date. We came here after a couple of our tour guides at Kualoa Ranch recommended it. We got a Poke Bowl with Creamy Wasabi, Hawaiian Blend, Kitchen Sink, Spicy Ahi. It was fantastic. I have no complaints. The Creamy Wasabi and Hawaiian Blend were my favorites but I would happily get any of them again. They have a huge selection of poke. In a new building and set up like a fast food Deli with order counter in one room and three-four picnic tables in second room. Bottom line on this place from my perspective is counter people are friendly and helpful and food was OUTSTANDING. Their specialty is Poke and they had a wide selection and we made a sampler for several of us and ALL was fresh and tasted great. Out of all the poke we ate during our vacation, this was probably my favorite. Prices were reasonable, with a huge selection including salmon which I felt like was lacking at other poke shops. Fresh Catch also offers hot food like Garlic Chicken (worth the try). Don't let the appearance fool you, it's a small little building that could use some better upkeep. If they didn't have such a reputation, then I wouldn't have stopped by on appearances alone. There's a small parking lot and they do drive-through orders! I got the salmon poke which had a sweet marinade. Some of the salmon still had pieces of skin on it which bothers some people but it was fine for me. Super tender, super fresh. I even went a little adventurous and got the Pipikaula poke, which is beef. It had the texture of jerky and maybe if the chunks weren't as big...it would've been easier to eat and chew. I also got to try the garlic chicken and it was so good. Deep fried crispy, with an unbelievably garlicky and sweet sauce. There's a reason people go out of their way to visit here. It's THAT good. Hands down the freshest and tastiest poke we've ever had. The Ahi Hawaiian blend was recommended to us and it was delicious. It has a small kick and contains white and green onions with some type of magical sauce and sesame seeds. It's not fishy at all. We also tried the Ahi Katsu which is breaded ahi (sorry no pics), rice and Chef Reno's signature sauce. The ahi was juicy, perfectly fried and was not fishy at all. In fact, we thought we had been given chicken at first but it was too flaky to have been chicken. For someone who doesn't eat lot of fish, I could eat here regularly without a problem. Solid poke spot! We stopped by and the outside & inside look a little run down but food looked so good I didn't care. I like that they don't limit you on how much different types of poke you can pick like other places offering 1-3 scoops. This was an order at register place. They are working on renovating the second floor for sit down dining. Our group ordered the furikake seared ahi, seared ahi salad, seared ahi with aioli, garlic salmon, and poke bowl. All of the seared ahi's come with the aioli sauce. I wasn't very fond of the aioli sauce because it has a slight wasabi taste which paired extremely well with the furikake ahi. Since I wasn't a fan of the aioli, I preferred the regular seared ahi which was seared in a Hawaiian seasoning. The Hawaiian seasoning wasn't too overpowering and allowed me to enjoy the raw fish flavor of the ahi. Both my aunty and grandma ordered the garlic salmon. My grandma doesn't have a big appetite, but she finished the whole plate! On 8/16/25 bought 1/2 pound salmon poke for $15.59 plus tax. Had so much sugar in it I could not eat it and threw it in the garbage.
