I wasn't really looking for a donut, just a coffee alternative and they had a cooler with soft drinks. The lady behind the counter didn't seem like she cared whether I was there. I did end up buying a croissant and a couple of donuts so that it would meet the minimum for credit card payment. I mean the donut and croissant were just ok, nothing really stood out besides the fact that service was chilly. It's your run of the mill donut shop but with worse service. read more

Checked this out today and had a chocolate covered twist and a boston crème which was kinda filled with vanilla pudding. Both very tasty yeast raised style. The twist was also glazed. Very nice snack! read more

Fresh ~ delicious ~ cheap Can't be that! This little shop is filled with all sorts of baked goods from classic donuts to savory croissants. For about $7 a person you can get a croissant, donut and milk or juice. Ran by a sweet Asian lady and her mom who hardly speak English they understand what you'd like and are very friendly. Enjoy your goods inside or outside as there's plenty of seating. Don't forget to ask them to warm up your croissants. read more

Came to Paso Robles with a friend for a birthday celebration. Ordered two donuts. Will never, ever come here again. The lady behind the counter yelled out at my friend "You didn't buy coffee here, you can't take those sugar packets, you only bought donuts." My friend offered to pay for them, but the lady refused. As I was next in line to pay for my donuts, the lady kept fussing over the sugar packets to the point other customers in the store can hear her and made me really and others really uncomfortable. Do not give this place your business as they do not know what customer service is. This is by far RUDE Donuts and not Fresh Donuts as their name implies. read more

Bad attitude. Gives me a stale cup of coffee for $2.25 then when I said it was cold, says I ll microwave it. This man comes from the back w a bad attitude saying she can only give you what she has. I said but it's cold so she shouldn't be giving it to anyone. He says it's not his concern that I want coffee at which point she was kind enough to give money back. Small business I wish them well but need an attitude change. read more

This business is SO not closed. Why would someone post that they are? I tried to explain to the owner that their business is marked closed on Yelp but she didn't seem to understand. Hopefully someone at yelp can fix this. I've seen this before where competitors mark other similar businesses as closed. Hope that's not the case in this sweet town. Regardless, their donuts are great. Fresh and fluffy and quite delicious. I've tried the cruller, old fashioned, maple bar and chocolate sprinkle- all very good! Sadly, they'd already sold out of buttermilk bars the times I've gone. I'm anxious to try them! read more

I'm only one guy...passing thru and find cases of puffy delicious looking donuts...how am I to choose? I buy a variety and start looking for friends to share with lol. Croissant was huge, buttery, warm and delicious Cinnamon twist...omg....a diabetic nightmare or fat guys dream...not sure which but I want another! Apple fritter was large and in charge....yum. Bear claw...is everything here delicious? Near downtown, someone claimed parking an issue...please who cares... Stopped by to get something to satisfy my sweet tooth and ended up with an assortment of donuts - a full dozen to be exact. The lady owner was ultra-nice and helpful. She also looks after her mom whom she said likes to sit outside but since it was a hot day, the mom stayed inside with a jacket on. I think it's so lovely to see someone who takes the time not only to mind the store but to also look after the elderly. read more

Niece little shop, it a dumpy parking lot that is a bit low end, I guess I would not want to be in this alley later in the evening! the Bear Claw was very nice, good amount of filling although I could have used a bit more. The donut was fresh, good and if it is on the way, this place will do you right. read more

Just arrived in town. Walking around while the wifey shops. Older Asian lady sitting out front wearing slippers. She was SCRATCHING her nasty ass foot out front. I guess because there were no customers. I thought she was a customer. But when I walked in, she followed me me. Hell no, am I buying ANYTHING from this place. Grossed me out. I am a super picky donut consumer so I was prepared for disappointment. I was sooooo wrong. The plain glazed are a must. Light and fluffy without a hint of oil and the glaze coats the donut perfectly without being teeth achingly sweet. That was yesterday. Today I was back for a lemon filled-heaven, pure heaven, and better than my former #1 from Granny's in West St. Paul, MN. It's a mystery to me why anyone would comment about the location. It's a couple blocks from Paso's downtown park in a little strip shopping center with off street parking lot. We skipped the in-house coffee in favor of walking up to the drive through coffee kiosk out front and then took our treats to a picnic table in the park. Aaaaahhhhh. read more

This is probably one of the most understated and humble businesses I have ever been to. You MUST have an Apple Fritter from this place and let the owner know this is the best you have ever had. The dough was thick and chewy. The icing was the right amount of "almost too much". The sogginess of the apple bits mixed with the crisp fried edges was a perfect bite. The kicker was it was perfectly fried with zero grease. Very hard to do- but they have mastered the perfect Fritter. read more

I went once and will never return! I purchased a donut and a bacon croissant. Pro: Their custard-filled donut had a lot of filling. That is where the positives end. Cons: The bacon croissant had more fat than actual bacon. I couldn't eat it and threw it away because it was so disgusting. The most disagreeable thing was the service. I was going to get sugar packets from the coffee condiments when the lady yelled at me "Excuse me! You didn't buy coffee, you can't take those!" I apologized and offered to pay for the two sugar packets. Then the employee began muttering angrily that if I don't buy coffee there, I can't get any of the coffee condiments. She continued to mutter noisily and angrily even as she rang up another customer (making that person uncomfortable based on their facial expression). Unfortunately, after reading the reviews for this business, it seems I'm not the only customer who has experienced such insolence. They really should change the name to "RUDE Donuts" considering this older woman specializes in a discourteous attitude. Don't give this place your business, they obviously do not respect their patrons, and the food is a hit or miss. read more

Came here tonight for midnight donuts. Negatives: you can't sit inside past a certain time so we had to sit outside and it was cold. Also, the lady that saw us at the window was very rude (and the last time I was here the same thing happened). Positives: the donut was delicious and their prices were fairly cheap. The French curllers were a bit stale. The maple twist bars were nice n fresh, n fluffy. The chocolate chocolate cake with nuts had a better taste then the yellow cake donut. What I really didn't like was they added 50 cents because I used my ATM card. I most likely won't come back. read more

The donuts were okay. The guy that was helping us was very dirty, he said his wife had just stepped out. So that was not very appetizing. The place did not seem air-conditioned at all, it was very hot in there, and the ceiling fans were not on. It is not worth another visit. read more

I bought two dozen assorted donuts from the nice lady and one apple fritter. The donuts I took to Chase Bank branch as a thank you and treat for the employees. The employees were extremely pleased!!! My apple fritter was great also. I am new to this area and the donut shop is well worth going to. You can also get coffee and they have tables and places to sit. This is a nice little shop stuck in the back of a strip mall a block or so from the downtown park. Too bad it's not in a better area because the donuts are tasty (my favorite being the glazed old-fashion). The coffee was just fine as all I needed was my jolt of caffeine to get me started. There's a kiosk in the middle of the mall's parking lot that sells coffee that is probably more upscale and expensive, but I didn't bother to check it out as I just wanted coffee to go with my donut. Very polite Asian lady took my order and had me served in less than two minutes. When I'm back in town for the next car show, I'll get my coffee and donuts here again. read more

The best donuts in town. Super fresh and worth the "not too desirable" location. Really? the location is fine and I can always pull up and find a parking spot. Get in, get my donuts and on my way. The owners/workers are always nice and helpful. The donuts are fresher the next day, at my house, then other donut shops in town. Not sure how others can complain they are stale. They melt in your mouth from freshness. I love their buttermilk, apple fritters and glazed the best but have never had a bad donut there. read more

Whenever I have a hankering for donuts, this is my stop. Always fresh, even in the afternoon. Glazed donut holes are my go to (some how believe that they're not high in calorie as a regular-sized donut...I know, I know). Pick up the old-fashioned buttermilk for the hubby - no complaints there. Love their bear claws (that's my 2nd go to when I think I deserve a treat). Never disappointed. Yum, yum, yum!! read more

I've never been more impressed by a donut shop. I went in with my young son to pick up a dozen donuts (which were all fluffy and delicious - and there's a great variety available- but that's not even the best part). The nice woman at the counter saw my son and asked if he eats donuts, and then handed him a donut hole to munch on while I was busy at the register. And then, knowing I had to carry the donuts and my son back to the car, without asking she picked up the donuts and walked me out and placed the donuts in my car for me. That was enough for me to want to tell everyone I know to come out and support this local business. But then, when I got home and opened the donuts, I noticed another handful of complimentary donut holes that she placed into our package. What a nice surprise. I hardly write reviews but immediately wanted to do so for this shop. Her kind gestures will keep me coming back. read more

Friendly in terms of service, Mother's Day seeing several decorative options offered, $3.95 for a simple glazed Ring with a dollop of Oreo Cream feels expensive considering all three Yeasted options were no better than those yielded by commercial pre-Mix in terms of consistency. It was nearly all grey inside with a couple spots of pink. It wasn't seasoned either. The sauces on the plate were good. Our server was polite and did take it off the menu. However, no manager ever came by to check on us or any other table on the patio in the time we were there. I had high hopes for this place based on the reviews. Spanish for "estate," or in this case farm, counter-style service and limited interior seating part of Finca's charm, Chef Aguirre's training includes the likes of Suzanne Goin and Thomas Keller while California's central coast yields a bounty of Fish, Meat and Produce. Offering Baja style quick-casual Mexican Food since May of 2021, Avocados from Morro Bay mashed into under-seasoned Guacamole with freshly made Chips, ownership focuses on local Wines and spirits across a menu of beverages including housemade Agua Fresca with flavors that change daily. Pricey for what it is, though ownership clearly cares about local businesses from Mary's Poutry to Octopus and Shrimp from independent California fishermen, guests can choose to sit indoors or on a porch out front while dining on wood-grilled Steak or a California-style Burrito filled with battered Shrimp. Attuned to the flavor profile of its target audience, namely the sort of people touring Paso Robles' wineries, those expecting spicy Mexican cuisine need to keep this in mind as Jalapenos largely come pickled while other Peppers are tempered by Cream, leaving dishes like the Duck al Pastor nearly too sweet.
