Cut to the chase, this is a no frills but freshly baked donut kind of place. It's fluffy fresh donut holes were really good. Highly recommended for a quick snack.

Fresh ~ delicious ~ cheap Can't be that! This little shop is filled with all sorts of baked goods from classic donuts to savory croissants. For about $7 a person you can get a croissant, donut and milk or juice. Ran by a sweet Asian lady and her mom who hardly speak English they understand what you'd like and are very friendly. Enjoy your goods inside or outside as there's plenty of seating. Don't forget to ask them to warm up your croissants.

I'm only one guy...passing thru and find cases of puffy delicious looking donuts...how am I to choose? I buy a variety and start looking for friends to share with lol. Croissant was huge, buttery, warm and delicious Cinnamon twist...omg....a diabetic nightmare or fat guys dream...not sure which but I want another! Apple fritter was large and in charge....yum. Bear claw...is everything here delicious? Near downtown, someone claimed parking an issue...please who cares... Walk, crawl, take uber lol, have a donut and relax..(or have three and really get in the zone) The sweet lady behind the counter was so polite and patient with me, thank you for staring my day off right!

Stopped by to get something to satisfy my sweet tooth and ended up with an assortment of donuts - a full dozen to be exact. The lady owner was ultra-nice and helpful. She also looks after her mom whom she said likes to sit outside but since it was a hot day, the mom stayed inside with a jacket on. I think it's so lovely to see someone who takes the time not only to mind the store but to also look after the elderly.

The donuts were good but way to expensive! I bought two donuts and a sports top water and it cost me just under 6 bucks!

Day." per their website, with prices ranging $1.95 to $3.95 depending on style. Strangely an underserved market, DK's of So.Cal really the only other choice for anything beyond the basics in Paso Robles, SloDoCo resides in a barn-like structure on Spring Street where bags of flour and board games act as décor from 5am till 9pm Monday through Sunday. Not at all a concise concept, Rings along the back-wall difficult to decipher and those in the case varying significantly, arrival at 8:49am on Sunday oddly found many choices "sold out," though finding an alternative isn't so hard when such abundance is available. Friendly in terms of service, Mother's Day seeing several decorative options offered, $3.95 for a simple glazed Ring with a dollop of Oreo Cream feels expensive considering all three Yeasted options were no better than those yielded by commercial pre-Mix in terms of consistency. Equally unimpressed by the Fritter, even a small chunk of Apple hard to find, SloDoCo's Cruller performs well with a light and custard-y center while Blueberry Cake fares far better than a bone-dry Old-Fashioned cogwheel that may as well have been day-old.

They were open and we were feeling a bit peckish and can always make room for a donut or two. So we made a U turn and off we went. The shop is on a corner lot with its own parking lot. Plenty of street parking as well. As we walked in , I quickly saw the glass counter full of picture perfect, colorful donuts sitting pretty waiting for us. These donuts were beautiful. No crinkling and buckling in the frosting. Donut frosting is tricky to get smooth. So many different types of donuts making it hard to decide. We ordered a couple of cake donuts (vanilla with pink frosting and chocolate on chocolate) and a raised chocolate glaze. Mmm. The raised donut was light and airy with the prefect slight yeasty chew. The chocolate glaze was awesome. I've eaten a lot of donuts in my lifetime, these are 5 stars. Besides donuts they serve other pastries; scones, danishes, croissants, and cookies. Breakfast burritos and breakfast sandwiches $8.95. Quiche ( whole $29.95 or slice $6.95). Local Steins bagels $4 toasted with cream cheese. There is no seating indoors. There were a few tables out on the lawn.We sat at one of the outside tables under the big ole shade tree. Leisurely eating our donuts taking a slow down and soaking in life.

My husband never orders chicken out, but on the recommendation of our waiter, he ordered it and was delighted. Best chicken in a restaurant ever. We also had the delicious bacon-wrapped dates and two wonderful salads -- the burrata and the pear and pecan. My main was the mushrooms and scallops pasta. SO good. The waiter recommended a local Chardonnay, so nice that I bought 2 bottles before leaving town. The owner-chef also spent about 15 minutes chatting with us as we were one of the last diners. It was one of my best birthday dinners ever! We will go back to Paso Robles just to dine here.

Of note, we were never given an option for indoor seating when making our reservation nor when we were seated. After ordering, we received our starter (shishito peppers) within 10 minutes. However once we finished the starter we waited an additional 30-40 minutes for our entrees. There was no communication from the wait staff at all, no refills on water, nothing. In fact in the patio dining area I saw three plates of food (including our peppers) delivered to tables in the hour we had been sitting there. Interestingly the wait staff all seemed very busy and moved around the restaurant but not much appeared to get done. Having worked in hospitality previously I have a lot of empathy for the staff as they seemed to lack direction and management support. My husband ordered the mushroom and scallop pasta. It was okay. Overpriced, but was tasty. I ordered the chile relleno and steak. The chile relleno was filled with a large amount of corn that tasted freezer burnt. My steak was thin and grey and overcooked. It was nearly all grey inside with a couple spots of pink. It wasn't seasoned either. The sauces on the plate were good. Our server was polite and did take it off the menu. However, no manager ever came by to check on us or any other table on the patio in the time we were there. I had high hopes for this place based on the reviews. It was a real let down to have a lackluster food and service experience at "one of the nicest places" in Paso.
