We went as a group of 10 for their set menu of King Crab for 10 people. They cook/steam everything right in front of you and the waitresses are extremely kind. We came on a Saturday night (with reservations! And good thing bc it got PACKED). The entire set menu was perfectly portioned out for 10 people. The king crab was delicious, juicy, flavorful AND all the other dishes included were also yummy. If you're craving King Crab, you gotta come here

Came for dinner on Friday night and it wasn't too busy. This is a seafood-focused restaurant, so it's definitely a splurge meal. The menu requires a bit of deciphering because some things are priced per unit, some per KG (with minimums that are not listed), and some per serving, so just look closely and ask questions so you know what you are getting. This style of restaurant is unique and the first time I have eaten this way. You steam the food above a pot of congee which takes on some flavor from the meat, then you eat the congee at the end of the meal. Lots of delicious options, and I especially loved the handmade shrimp balls - I wouldn't miss those! Also be aware of the timing on the cooking. We relied on the servers to tell us when things were ready, and we may have left some things a little too long... be vigilant!!

Food and service were good until the bill came out. They were literally staring at me, looking at how much I tip. I had a total of $620 on me, so I gave it all--$500 cash plus a $46 tip for two people. Then the server proceeded to ask me, "Why only $46? Is the service not good?" and asked me to write down why I tipped only that much. Keep in mind, tipping is not mandatory. It made me really uncomfortable when the waitress kept staring at me as I paid my bill. Maybe the boss needs to pay employees a little more so they don't have to worry about people tipping less than 20%. I would tip more if I had more to give, and there's always next time when I come back and realize I should overtip because I was treated nicely and they didn't bother me about my tip. But forget it--I won't come back because of how they made me feel on my birthday. That's karma. To whoever owns this place, please don't force your servers to ask customers why they don't tip at least 20%. Remember, tipping is optional and should only be discussed after service is rendered, including when the customer is trying to pay.

Please be cautious. My group suffered severe food poisoning after eating here. We noticed a few items, specifically the steamed pork dumplings, tasted off and old. We reached out to management to resolve this privately, but they were unhelpful. Given the high prices here, we expected much better food safety standards. The servers on the other hand were extremely helpful and courteous. 5 stars for them. It's a shame because the service was great, but the food safety standards were unacceptable.

If you enjoy Cantonese style seafood, this is the place. They have a wide variety of seafood where they steam it table side for you and they cook the congee at the bottom with all the seafood drippings. A very unique combination for sure. We ordered geoduck, razor clams, cabbage, a whole fish, and spare ribs congee to share among three people. A bit pricey but good quality and fresh seafood. The servers were also very friendly. Will likely come back when I crave seafood again.

Very fresh sea food and friendly service! Mia has been very helpful and nice to us :)

Very unique experience where they cook the food for you table-side. It's nice that you get perfectly cooked fresh seafood that way without you worrying about over or under cooking anything. The scallops I got were especially good. Great service for real. The congee at the end with all the flavors from your order was a nice touch. Would recommend if you're looking for a new and different sort of seafood experience

I highly recommend this place. The food was all very fresh and delicious. All the dishes I ordered was amazing. What I like is you can make your own sauce at the sauce bar. The service was definitely top notch. They cook all your food at the table for you and portion out for you after done. Underneath the steamer is your choice of porridge or soup. So all the food you order, the flavor of all your items drops down to your choice of porridge or soup, which was all very complimenting at the end of the meal. The atmosphere is kind of a place where you can gather with friends and family and either get loud and have fun. Can also be a place to catch up with your close ones but do not expect a candle light dinner type of thing.

Best live seafood in town. They provided excellent service. Top of the freshness. Will definitely come visit again!

It consistently receives positive reviews; the service is excellent, and they assist with steaming the food throughout the meal. Although it's a bit expensive, the food is very fresh.

If you're a seafood lover, this is the place to be! The steamed fresh seafood here is absolutely amazing. I especially enjoyed the king crab and shrimp -- they're steamed right at the table, and the natural juices drip into the pot to make a flavorful porridge at the end. It's not only delicious but also a unique and fun dining experience. They also offer noodle options, which pair perfectly with the seafood. A big shoutout to our server May -- she was incredibly kind, attentive, and helpful throughout the meal. Highly recommend!

Add-on garlic and green onion option, you can get it at the sauce bar

Another guest was waiting for their take-out order. One server working the front of the house. Service was minimal but efficient at the same time. She brought us everything we asked for immediately. The menu is fairly large, but we still managed to order variations of dishes not listed on the menu. Most Chinese restaurants will accommodate a guest request so long as they have the ingredients and they know how to compose the dish. How they work out the pricing may be something else. At the table immediately behind my mom, I heard the guest ordering a Hot & Sour Soup, add Won Ton. One of my favorite mash-ups! We ended up having a very nice conversation over lunch. Of course, we ordered the same soup and the price they charged was a reasonable $16.95. I've had some places try to charge me for two soups which I think is ridiculous. We also ordered a Seafood Chow Mein and a Chicken Dry Fried Chow Fun with Yau Chow Sum. All three dishes came out nice and hot. The flavors were on point very satisfying. I goofed and didn't a picture of the Chow Fun because it came out last and I was already tucking into my Chow Mein. Mom enjoyed it so we'll be back!

Ordering was easy, the staff were genuinely warm and accommodating, and the food came out in about 10 minutes! No complaints on the service side at all. Honestly, the team here was a highlight. The food, however, was a bit hit or miss. What I'd recommend: Honey Walnut Prawns: The clear standout of the meal. Well executed, good flavor, and the shrimp were a generous size. If you come here, get this. What I'd skip: Fujian Fried Rice: Unfortunately pretty disappointing. The texture was mushy and it lacked flavor throughout. Wouldn't order again. Deep Fried Flounder: Way too heavily battered. The thick coating of flour overpowered everything and there wasn't much flavor coming through underneath. Could be a solid dish with a lighter touch. Seafood Pan-Fried Crispy Noodle: Decent enough but pretty flat on flavor. Just okay. Deep Fried Fish Balls: The flavor was actually there, which was a plus, but they were a bit overcooked and came out harder than they should have been. Overall, the service genuinely saved the experience. The staff were great and the vibe was pleasant. But the food didn't quite land for me and I likely won't be back. If you do go, stick to the Honey Walnut Prawns and maybe explore some dishes I didn't try.

But, despite…read moremaking reservations and confirming days in advance, the receptionist made us wait in line for a number. That said, the wait was only a few minutes for a 1:00 PM Friday lunch. I can live with that. We were shown to a middle table surrounded by other diners, but able to sit comfortably without bumping into anyone. We could get in and out of our seats without doing gymnastics or mortal combat - a problem in the past here. The ambience was festive without being explosively loud. Wce could actually hold meaningful conversation - such a lovely surprise! The furnishings could have done with some upgrading (carpets and decor felt a bit shabby). But the lighting was comfortable - I was grateful not to have glaring fluorescent fixtures illuminating us and the food. Service was unusually attentive, as I was accustomed to being abandoned by wait staff after putting in our orders in the past. I suspect they recognized our guests, two prominent and beloved retired local politicians. The variety and creativity of their dim sum was the best I've tasted in years. No ubiquitous dumpling fillings here! No gummy gravies or sauces. Each flavor was distinct, unique and scrumptious. Two rice roll dishes were the standouts. One had green spinach in the rice noodle and a crunchy, but chewy texture with the shrimp filling. The cha siu roll was generously filled and included a light sauce reminiscent of that used in cha siu bows. Every dish was fresh, sporting beautiful vibrant colors, with delicious sauces for each item. Servings were generous and satisfying. The roast duck was to die for and quickly devoured. After a hideous dinner banquet here years ago, (overpriced, slow and bad service, food served cold with sauces congealed, days-old rock cod passed off as "live from the tank", lobsters too tough to cut or eat), I had avoided coming back to Koi Palace until this current meal. Thankfully, this experience restored my faith and I will be returning more often. I am glad, because I've been following the chefs / owners for decades and admired their food since their Happy Valley hot pot days at Levi Plaza. Long live Koi Palace! I'm glad I gave it another chance.

Both were very under-salted and had very little flavor. The chow mein was equally bland, and the noodles were also very mushy and overcooked. I have never found myself reaching for the soy sauce at restaurants, but I did this time, not that it helped much. Overall, the meal felt very unsatisfying. They are located in a strip mall near several different food places, bakery, and a bowling alley. This is a solid dim sum place, with no frills and reasonable prices. You order off a printed menu that's in Chinese with tiny English subtitles. You can also order off their regular menu if you want to supplement the dim sum dishes. Their food is very good, and some dishes were excellent. The service was pretty quick, and before we knew it, all our dishes were out with almost no room on the lazy Susan. The standouts for me were: + Steamed custard buns (piggy buns) - I ordered these for the kiddies, but dang they are so good. The custard filling is so velvety, it's almost like pudding. I think I detected a hint of coconut too - yum. + Beef chow fun - this had a really good wok flavor and the noodles were less wide than most. The noodles didn't clump either, and the bean sprouts were still crispy. + Roasted pork belly - the skin was so crispy and the pork was juicy. We ordered most of the basic dishes like har gaw, sui mai, noodle rolls, turnip cake, stuffed eggplant, chicken feet, etc. and they were all above average. My only complaint is if you don't read Chinese, the menu is a little hard to navigate. The English subtitles are so small that if you're looking for something, you have to scan the front and back of the menu trying to find the item. I was looking for sticky rice in lotus leaf, but found sticky rice roll and thought it was the same thing. It wasn't. The sticky rice roll was not bad, but I found the rice drier than when it's in lotus leaf. We ordered a few things by mistake because the English subtitles were not that descriptive. Overall, a great alternative to more popular places like Koi Palace. The menu may not be as creative as Koi, but you don't have to deal with the lines and you still get great food.
